WooCommerce is installed and activated automatically after a Bluehost AI Store website is generated. To check or change its status, use Websites > Manage Site > Plugins in the Bluehost Portal. To open its store dashboard, use Websites > Edit Site > WordPress icon > WP admin, then select WooCommerce in WordPress.

Check whether WooCommerce is enabled, or turn it on or off Bluehost Portal > Websites > Manage Site > Plugins
Open WooCommerce Home to manage the store Bluehost Portal > Websites > Edit Site > WordPress icon > WP admin > WooCommerce

Check or change WooCommerce’s status

  1. Log in to the Bluehost Portal and select Websites from the left menu.
  2. Find the relevant site under the Sell Online plan. If the site is not listed, select Load More when that option appears.
  3. Select Manage Site, then open the Plugins tab.
  4. Find WooCommerce in the installed plugins list and use its toggle to enable or disable it.

Bluehost says WooCommerce is automatically installed and activated after the AI Store site is generated, so this step is mainly for verifying its state or changing it later.

Open WooCommerce Home

  1. In the Bluehost Portal, select Websites and find the relevant Sell Online site. Select Load More if needed.
  2. Select Edit Site to open the site editor.
  3. Select the WordPress icon in the upper-right corner, then choose WP admin. The WordPress dashboard opens in a new tab.
  4. In the dashboard’s left menu, select WooCommerce to open WooCommerce Home.

WooCommerce Home brings together store setup tasks, notices, performance information, and management tools. To return to the AI Store editor, Bluehost says to select Edit with Bluehost AI Builder in the top menu. Bluehost’s instructions for activating and accessing WooCommerce were updated August 20, 2026.

Why plugin controls are in the Bluehost Portal

Bluehost limits certain WordPress admin features on AI-generated websites, including installing, deactivating, or deleting plugins and installing or switching themes. Its support guidance directs AI Store users to the Portal’s Plugins tab to enable or disable WooCommerce; do not use the standard WordPress plugin-install screen for this managed-site task. See Bluehost’s WooCommerce access article and its guidance on AI-site plugin and theme restrictions.

What dashboard access does—and does not—mean

Opening WooCommerce Home gives you access to store management, but it does not by itself mean the store is published or ready to accept orders. Bluehost’s onboarding guide identifies seven setup areas: create pages, add products, customize the storefront, add store details, review taxes, configure shipping, and set up payments. Use the guide’s AI Store setup steps to work through them.

Bluehost describes a 14-day free trial for exploring store creation and previewing the website. Its customer journey guide says upgrading to the Sell Online plan is required to publish the website, sell products, and process orders. See Bluehost’s AI Store customer journey for that distinction.

Payment and mobile options in WooCommerce Home

Bluehost’s article lists WooPayments, PayPal, Stripe, and Amazon Pay as options supported by WooCommerce generally, but says Stripe is currently the only payment method supported in AI Store; additional options may be added. Do not assume the broader WooCommerce provider list can be enabled on a Bluehost AI Store site today. The same article describes the WooCommerce mobile app as a free, optional way to track sales, manage orders, and monitor the store from a mobile device. The app is not required to activate WooCommerce or open its dashboard, and Bluehost’s description does not establish that it offers every WooCommerce Home setting.
