After the owl scene, “Find Aunty” is a progression objective—not a search for a hidden screen. Complete Bufo’s request, go north from him, then turn left (west) to reach Gnawtusk. Finish Gnawtusk’s stash errands to trigger the rescue. After the cutscene, check the floor of your burrow for Aunty’s backpack; the early quest continues with a medicine step.
Are there Winter Burrow cheats or codes for finding Aunty?
No cheat or code is verified here. The useful route is to advance the quest gates in order rather than searching every area for Aunty. The steps below come from a specialist walkthrough; the official game pages confirm the game and its platform context, but do not document this quest sequence.
What to do before the owl takes Aunty
Repair the first bridge
From your burrow, head east and follow the lower, leaf-covered path to the fallen bridge. To repair it, craft 5 Beech Planks and 5 Flax Rope at the Woodworking Workbench in the burrow. Crossing the bridge is how you first reach Aunty, before the owl scene.

Aunty teaches you to use the shovel. Return it to her to trigger the scripted owl scene; the walkthrough does not describe this as an optional event.

How to reach Aunty after the owl scene
- Complete Bufo’s request. This advances the story and opens the northward route.
- From Bufo, travel north and turn left (west). This leads to Gnawtusk. Turning right is the navigation mistake the walkthrough flags as likely to send you away from him.
- Complete Gnawtusk’s stash errands. The first two hand-ins earn the Lantern needed for the dark area. Finish the chain to trigger the rescue scene.
- After the rescue, return to your burrow. Aunty comes back ill. Look for her backpack on the floor and retrieve the final stash described in the walkthrough.
- Continue the medicine or healing step. The rescue cutscene does not finish this early Aunty sequence.
How to stay oriented and avoid losing progress
- Use the journal or HUD to check the active objective after a repair or delivery, and return to Aunty when the objective calls for it.
- Use the burrow as a crafting and storage checkpoint before a longer trip. Keeping one backpack slot free can help when a quest requires carrying an item.
- The free Winter Solstice update announced for 17 December 2025 added an in-game map. Pine Creek Games describes it as showing unlocked areas and the region you are in, not your precise position within a screen. Use it for regional orientation alongside landmarks and the active objective, rather than as a screen-by-screen minimap. Pine Creek Games
What the official listings establish
Nintendo describes Winter Burrow as “a cozy woodland survival game about a mouse returning home to restore their childhood burrow.” Its listing identifies the Switch edition as digital and lists single-system play for one player; that listing does not establish a physical cartridge edition. Nintendo’s game listing Noodlecake identifies Pine Creek Games as the developer and describes exploration, crafting, knitting, cooking, and the missing-aunt premise. Noodlecake’s Winter Burrow page
The detailed quest directions and backpack location above are attributed to a specialist secondary walkthrough, not an official manual or firsthand test. If a later game update changes quest progression, these steps may no longer match the current version.
