Windows 11’s “God Mode” is a convenient name for an All Tasks view: a single place to browse links to available Windows tasks and Control Panel items. Create a specially named folder to open it, or use an Explorer shortcut. It does not replace Settings or give you administrator privileges.
What the Windows 11 God Mode folder does
The folder opens a Windows shell view associated with the identifier {ED7BA470-8E54-465E-825C-99712043E01C}. It gathers links to available tasks and Control Panel items so you can browse them from one view.
“All Tasks” is a more literal description than “God Mode.” The nickname does not mean the folder unlocks hidden permissions, installs a feature, or lets you bypass organization policies. Some actions may require administrator approval, and some may be unavailable to your account.
The items shown can vary with the Windows build, edition, installed features, and permissions on a particular PC. There is no reliable fixed count that applies to every Windows 11 device.

How to enable God Mode with a folder
- Right-click an empty area of the desktop, or open another folder where you want to keep the shortcut.
- Select New > Folder.
- Rename the folder exactly to
GodMode.{ED7BA470-8E54-465E-825C-99712043E01C}, then press Enter. - Open the folder. Windows may replace the typed label or change the icon as it presents the special view.
The text GodMode before the period is just a label; the identifier after it is what matters. You can use a different label if you prefer, as long as the period and identifier remain intact.

If you would rather not use a specially named folder, make a Windows shortcut with this target:

Does God Mode beat the Settings app?
It can be quicker when you already know a legacy or scattered control is available in the consolidated list. It is not objectively better for every task, and it does not replace the Settings app.

Microsoft recommends using Settings whenever possible. Control Panel remains available for compatibility and for settings that have not yet migrated. For a particular change, use the interface that contains the option you need; if you cannot find it in Settings, the All Tasks view can help you browse available controls.

The folder is an index, not a safety layer. Opening an item can still change system configuration, and Windows may ask for elevation. Before changing a control, check what it affects and make sure you understand how to undo the change. Incorrect configuration in some system tools can make Windows unstable or prevent it from starting.
