StartAllBack is a Windows shell customization utility that can change parts of the Start menu, taskbar, File Explorer, Control Panel, and context menus. It may help if Windows 11’s taskbar feels “too big and prominent,” its Start menu “shows me things I don’t want,” or familiar controls take “extra clicks”—phrases used by the first-person author in the article synopsis, not results from a user survey.

Is it a universal fix for Windows 11?
No. The synopsis behind the “I finally fixed” headline describes one author’s experience, not a guarantee that the app will resolve every Windows 11 annoyance. StartAllBack addresses shell appearance and behavior; it does not establish that every disliked Windows feature can be changed, or that every user will prefer its options.
Before installing, check whether the control you want is already available in Windows settings. If it is not, compare the app’s listed features with the exact change you want, and consider how readily you can reverse that customization if you dislike the result.

Check compatibility before installing or updating
Shell customization can be version-sensitive. Major Windows updates may affect compatibility, so confirm that StartAllBack supports your Windows build and check the vendor’s release notes before installing or updating.
On its release page, StartAllBack lists version 3.9.27, dated September 24, 2026, and says it fixes dark mode broken with 26H2 features. The same changelog includes earlier fixes related to Windows updates. These are vendor release statements, not a guarantee that the app will work with every configuration or future update.

If you are troubleshooting after a Windows update, first check the vendor’s latest release notes for your build. If support is unclear, delaying installation or an update is safer than assuming an older customization will remain compatible.
