Willy’s birthday is Summer 24, and his Fish Shop normally sells supplies from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. For friendship, use one of his listed loved gifts—especially on his birthday, when gifts have an 8× effect. Check the weather, weekday, and calendar before visiting: rain, non-rainy Saturdays, festivals, and other appointments can change his routine.

You can give Willy two gifts per week, plus one additional gift on his birthday. A birthday gift has eight times its usual friendship effect, making Summer 24 the strongest time to give him a loved item. Where is Willy, and when is the Fish Shop open?
The Fish Shop is on the Beach docks, south of Pelican Town. On a regular day, Willy follows this baseline schedule:

- 6:10 AM: fishes outside the Fish Shop.
- 8:50 AM: returns to the shop.
- 9:00 AM–5:00 PM: works the counter.
- After 5:00 PM: fishes on the Beach.
- 10:00 PM: heads home.
The shop’s usual sales hours are 9:00 AM–5:00 PM. Its inventory includes fishing rods, bait, tackle, fish tanks, and crab pots; some tackle depends on fishing skill. The building may still be enterable when Willy is not selling. The Fish Shop reference describes its location, hours, and inventory.
Check exceptions before making the trip
- Saturday: On a non-rainy Saturday, Willy fishes around town and the shop does not sell.
- Rain: After work, he goes to the Saloon rather than fishing on the Beach.
- Season and calendar: Winter evenings, his Spring 9 clinic visit, festivals, and event schedules can alter his routine.
Use the regular-day times as a baseline, not a guarantee. The Willy schedule reference includes the exceptions; check the day, weather, season, and festival calendar before heading to the counter.

What do Willy’s heart events and friendship levels unlock?
Willy mails a cooking recipe at each of four friendship milestones:

Six-heart Beach event
Once you have six hearts with Willy, enter the Beach between 6:00 AM and 5:10 PM to trigger his event with Gus. Crabs run around the Fish Shop, Gus offers to buy them, and the scene ends with a temporary Crab Cake special at the Saloon. The Willy heart-events reference gives the trigger and scene details. Willy is not marriageable.
What changes after repairing Willy’s boat?
After the boat is repaired, you can buy a ticket in the Fish Shop’s back room. The back-room door opens at 8:00 AM, earlier than the usual 9:00 AM start of sales at the counter; repairing the boat does not change Willy’s daily schedule.
