Not on the evidence available. A secondary report attributes to HPE Networking chief Rami Rahim a forecast that, within two to three years, network issues would no longer need human intervention except for hardware swaps. The same report says 70%–80% of tickets already require no human intervention. Those figures are not independently verified, and the original interview or event was not located. HPE’s Marvis AI materials describe real, bounded troubleshooting and remediation capabilities—but do not establish that every network ticket can be resolved autonomously.

What did HPE’s networking chief reportedly predict?

AllMind News reported that Rami Rahim, HPE Networking’s chief, said 70%–80% of network trouble tickets already require no human intervention and forecast that in two to three years no issues would need human intervention apart from hardware swaps. The headline’s “two years” is a shortened version of that reported two-to-three-year horizon.

The underlying interview or event and Rahim’s exact words could not be verified. Treat both the percentage and forecast as secondary reporting, not as a confirmed quotation, independently measured industry statistic, or guarantee about every organization’s network. AllMind News

What can HPE Marvis AI do today?

HPE’s Marvis AI materials describe natural-language troubleshooting, issue identification, root-cause analysis, recommendations, and autonomous actions when a customer permits them. The examples are specific rather than universal: Marvis may attempt to recover a port, for example, while an unresolved issue can remain open for additional investigation. These are vendor descriptions of product capabilities, not independent measurements of how often they resolve customer incidents without help.

That distinction matters: identifying a likely cause, recommending a fix, and applying an approved action are different levels of automation. A system may handle routine, well-understood cases while escalating unfamiliar, ambiguous, or unsuccessful cases to a person. HPE’s materials do not show that all network faults fall into the first category. HPE Marvis AI

What does HPE mean when it says Marvis answers support tickets?

HPE also says Marvis processes incoming support tickets and that its support and data-science teams review tickets it cannot answer. That describes HPE’s own support-ticket workflow. It should not be read as evidence that Marvis autonomously resolves every trouble ticket generated across customers’ networks: the scope is different, and the workflow itself retains human review for unanswered cases. Is HPE’s zero-ticket goal already proven?

Fierce Network reports HPE’s aim of ultimately reaching zero incoming trouble tickets and describes expanded self-driving actions. This is an ambition and roadmap, not a demonstrated result across all customer networks. Fierce Network

CRN has also reported a claim from HPE Networking vice president Jeff Aaron that HPE can proactively detect and fix network problems without human involvement. That is an attributed vendor claim about some problems; it does not establish that all tickets are preventable or solvable autonomously. CRN

What would show that the forecast is becoming reality?

A meaningful assessment would need evidence beyond a vendor’s capability description or a broad percentage. For a particular deployment, useful questions include:

  • Which network domains and incident types are covered?
  • Which fixes run automatically, and which require customer approval?
  • What happens when an action fails or the AI cannot determine a cause?
  • How are ticket reductions measured, and against what baseline and period?
  • Are reported results independently measured, or supplied by the vendor?

Without those details, a claim about fewer tickets or more autonomous actions cannot establish that every issue will be handled without a human.
