Could a separate PvE queue split the player base?
It could create a population trade-off, but the outcome depends on implementation and actual player activity. Separate queues may distribute players across more matchmaking pools; a shared queue would avoid that particular division but would not provide the same separation between play styles. Neither scenario is confirmed for ARC Raiders by the sources available here.
To judge the risk rather than speculate, players would need reliable details on:

- whether progression, inventory, rewards, and leaderboards carry across modes;
- how many players are active in each region and on each platform at different times; and
