There is an important availability caveat: WiiM’s product page currently labels the Bar “Coming Soon,” so $479 is a manufacturer-listed price, not confirmation that it is in stock or available at checkout. What the WiiM Bar is—and what $479 means
The WiiM Bar is a soundbar designed for TV audio, music streaming, and multi-room listening. WiiM’s 2026 product page lists it at $479 in the US, but labels it “Coming Soon.” Treat that figure as the manufacturer’s listed price rather than a confirmed retailer offer; availability and checkout prices can change.
The $479 price applies to the standalone Bar. WiiM describes optional expansion with compatible surround speakers and a subwoofer, which would add to the system’s total cost.
Dolby Atmos support and the soundbar configuration
WiiM specifies a 3.0.2-channel configuration: three front mid-woofers, three front tweeters, and two top-firing full-range height drivers. The company also lists four passive radiators and 135W of system power. Those are manufacturer specifications, not independent measurements or a guarantee of how the soundbar will perform in a particular room.

WiiM lists support for LPCM, Dolby Atmos, Dolby TrueHD, Dolby Digital Plus, AC3, DTS, and DTS:X. Format support means the Bar is designed to accept those formats; it does not, by itself, establish that its sound will outperform another soundbar or produce convincing height effects in every listening space. WiiM’s product page lists the specifications and supported formats.
Display, streaming, and listening features
2.1-inch touch display
A 2.1-inch round display sits on the soundbar. WiiM says it can show album art, track details, playback and source controls, EQ, Smart Presets, recently played content, clock faces, wallpapers, and visualizations. This display-first approach may appeal if you want to see or control playback at the soundbar rather than relying only on a phone app.

Streaming and multi-room compatibility
WiiM says the Bar can access more than 20 services through the WiiM Home app and lists Google Cast Audio, Spotify Connect, TIDAL Connect, Qobuz Connect, Amazon Music Cast, DLNA/UPnP, LMS, and Roon integrations. Service compatibility can change, so check the current WiiM compatibility information if a particular provider is essential.

In launch coverage, TechRadar reported that Apple Music and AirPlay 2 were absent at the time of its report. That is a time-specific account, not a guarantee of current support status. Room and dialogue options
WiiM advertises RoomFit automatic correction, Clear Voice, AI Dialog Enhancement, and Night Mode. These are listed features; their real-world effect has not been independently established here. Room acoustics, TV settings, and personal preference can all affect whether a processing mode is useful.
TV connections: eARC, optical, and no HDMI passthrough
The Bar has one HDMI eARC connection, plus optical, line-in, and USB connections. WiiM’s setup guide calls for connecting the Bar’s HDMI eARC port to the TV’s HDMI ARC/eARC port, selecting the Bar as the TV’s audio output, enabling HDMI-CEC, and setting the digital audio format to Auto or Pass Through. If your TV does not have ARC/eARC, WiiM identifies optical as an alternative. WiiM also notes that other HDMI ports on the TV will not send audio to the Bar through the eARC connection.

- Connect the Bar’s HDMI eARC port to the TV’s HDMI ARC/eARC port.
- On the TV, select the Bar as the audio output and enable HDMI-CEC.
- Set the TV’s digital audio format to Auto or Pass Through.
- If the TV lacks ARC/eARC, use the Bar’s optical input instead.
The Bar has no HDMI passthrough port. WiiM CEO Dr. Lifeng Zhao told TechRadar, “We have one HDMI eARC, we don’t have passthrough.” Read the interview with Zhao, published June 5, 2026.

Can you expand the WiiM Bar into surround sound?
WiiM says the standalone Bar can expand from 3.0.2 to as much as 5.1.2 with compatible surround speakers and a subwoofer. Its setup guide gives the WiiM Sub Pro and two WiiM Sound units as an example. These are optional additions, not part of the $479 listed standalone price; check compatibility and current prices for each component before planning an expanded system. Who should consider it—and what to check first
- It may fit your setup if you want a soundbar with manufacturer-stated Dolby Atmos and DTS:X support, a built-in display, and app-based streaming.
- Check your TV first if you rely on multiple HDMI sources: the Bar has no passthrough, and the TV must route audio back over ARC/eARC or use optical.
- Verify music services if you depend on a specific provider, especially Apple Music or AirPlay 2, whose absence TechRadar reported at launch.
- Budget for the whole system if you want rear speakers and a subwoofer; WiiM’s 5.1.2 expansion requires optional compatible components.
- Confirm live availability because WiiM’s product page lists $479 but currently says “Coming Soon.”
The available specifications establish what WiiM says the Bar supports, but not how it compares in independent listening tests. If sound quality or room-specific Atmos performance is decisive, wait for directly comparable testing rather than inferring a winner from the feature list.
