To remove a saved Wi‑Fi network, open Settings > Wi‑Fi > Edit, tap the info button beside the network, choose Forget This Network, then confirm Forget. If the option is missing or unavailable, the iPhone may be supervised or the network may be managed by a school or workplace.
How to remove a saved Wi‑Fi network
- Open Settings > Wi‑Fi.
- Tap Edit to view saved networks.
- Tap the info button beside the network you want to remove.
- Choose Forget This Network, then tap Forget to confirm.
For the network currently connected to your iPhone, you can also open Settings > Wi‑Fi, tap its info button, and choose Forget This Network. Apple documents both routes in its Wi‑Fi network guidance and iPhone Wi‑Fi settings guide.
Why “Forget This Network” may be unavailable
Apple says some supervised iPhones and managed networks do not allow users to forget the network or change its Auto-Join setting. This can be an administrator-enforced restriction rather than a fault with the iPhone. If this is a school or work device, contact its administrator before changing network settings. Use Forget This Network to remove the saved network and its password. Use Auto-Join off when you want the iPhone to keep the saved credentials but stop connecting automatically; you can select the network and join manually later.

Check iCloud Keychain before forgetting
If you use iCloud Keychain with the same Apple Account on other devices, forgetting the network on your iPhone also removes it from those devices. If you intend to remove it only from this iPhone, account for that shared effect before confirming. Apple Support describes how forgetting affects devices using iCloud Keychain.

If the saved Wi‑Fi password has changed
Forget the network, then select it in the Wi‑Fi list and join again. Your iPhone will ask for the current password. Apple recommends this approach when the phone has an outdated saved password. Apple’s Wi‑Fi password help covers the forget-and-rejoin process.
Why forgetting may not make the network disappear
Forgetting removes the saved credentials; it does not block the iPhone from detecting or listing that Wi‑Fi network when it is nearby. If you want to stop automatic connections while retaining the password, turn off Auto-Join instead.

Use Reset Network Settings only as a last resort
Resetting network settings is much broader than removing one saved Wi‑Fi network. Apple says it removes all Wi‑Fi networks and passwords, cellular settings, and VPN and APN settings. Apple advises trying other solutions first; for school or business configurations, consult IT or the network administrator before resetting. See Apple’s Wi‑Fi troubleshooting guidance.
