Nishant Mishra says he stopped posting on DEV.to after July 2026 because career decisions, job hunting, personal responsibilities, and uncertainty took priority. He kept learning and working on technical interests, but chose not to publish just to keep a posting cadence. He says he is writing again, though he has not set a schedule or promised specific topics.
Why did Nishant Mishra stop posting on DEV.to?
In his first-person account, Mishra says his last DEV.to post was in July 2026. After that, he had less time and attention for technical write-ups as he dealt with career decisions, looking for work, personal responsibilities, and uncertainty about what would come next.
He describes the job hunt as involving applications, interviews, resume revisions, technical discussions, company research, salary considerations, and repeated applications. That is his account of his own experience, not a claim that every job search follows the same pattern.
His explanation is a change in priorities, not a loss of interest in technology. Mishra says he continued learning, working with Linux, experimenting, troubleshooting, and thinking about personal projects, including Archangel Security Suite. The article presents these as his statements; it does not independently verify his job-search history or the project’s progress.

Why not publish something just to stay active?
Mishra says he did not want to produce a generic tutorial or listicle simply because time had passed since his previous post. As he puts it, “I didn’t want to post just for the sake of posting.”
He would rather share something he considers meaningful, whether it is technical learning, a project, an experiment, a failure, or a lesson from a career change. The gap therefore reflects what he chose to give his attention to, rather than proof that he stopped developing or learning.

Mishra says he is writing again, while acknowledging that he does not have everything figured out. He mentions technical subjects, projects, Linux, security, software, infrastructure, open source, and lessons from a career transition as possible future topics. These are areas he may cover, not a publishing schedule or a commitment to particular posts.
