ARC Raiders will not craft an item when its current recipe still has a missing material, station, blueprint or other unlock condition. Open the item’s recipe in the live game, follow every requirement shown there, and use the crafting view’s recycling, refining or purchasing options when materials are missing. If the action remains unavailable after the displayed requirements are satisfied, record the exact conditions and contact Embark support rather than relying on an unverified workaround.
Start with the recipe currently shown in your game
The recipe displayed by your current ARC Raiders client is the most reliable authority for a crafting decision. Recipes, material lists and unlock levels have changed in updates, so an older video, wiki page or social-media post may describe a previous version. Compare the guide’s publication date and game version with your client before treating its requirements as current.
Open the crafting interface, select the item and read the complete requirement panel. Do not stop after checking the ingredient icons. Note every material, the named station, and any level, blueprint or other unlock condition the panel presents. A craft button can remain unavailable even when the visible ingredient count looks sufficient if another requirement is still unmet.
Read the panel as a checklist rather than as a general suggestion. A green quantity for one component does not confirm that the station is correct, that an unlock has been completed or that a second hidden line is satisfied. If the interface has expandable details, open them. If a requirement is represented by an icon, select it or hover over it so you can identify the exact item and form required.

Four common reasons an item is unavailable
A material is missing or ineligible
The recipe may require a quantity you do not currently own, or it may require a particular form of a material rather than a similar item in your inventory. Treat the material status shown in the crafting view as decisive. The game may distinguish between raw materials, refined materials and components, so having an item with a related name does not necessarily satisfy the recipe.
Check each quantity independently. One missing unit can keep the action disabled, even if every other ingredient is present. Also verify that the material is counted in the location the crafting system uses; an item visible in a different inventory or storage screen is not automatically proof that the recipe can use it. The requirement indicator in the recipe is the useful test.
The recipe belongs to another station
Some crafts are tied to a specific station. A station requirement is separate from the ingredient list: carrying every material does not let you craft an item at the wrong location. Select the recipe and identify the station named by the interface, then use that station rather than assuming all recipes share one workbench.

If the panel names a particular station, test the recipe there. If the required station is not available to you, treat that as a separate progression requirement instead of continuing to gather ingredients.
An unlock or blueprint condition is incomplete
Particular recipes can depend on an unlock or blueprint. The exact path varies by item and can change between updates. If the recipe shows an unlock, level or blueprint indicator, complete that condition before troubleshooting materials. A third-party reference can help you understand the terminology, but the requirement displayed by the current game should override a general checklist.
Unlock conditions can be easy to overlook when the ingredient row is complete. Read the wording and number exactly as shown. Do not assume that a level requirement from one item applies to another, or that an older level listed online is still valid.
The guide you are following is stale
Official update notes document changes to both recipes and unlock requirements. An older guide can therefore make a valid current recipe appear wrong, or send you to the wrong station or level. Check the date and version of any external instructions and prefer the live recipe when they disagree.

A disagreement is not, by itself, evidence of a bug. First establish whether the guide predates a recipe, unlock or interface change. Keep the guide only as historical context unless its version matches the client you are playing.
Follow this diagnostic order
- Select the exact item. Open its recipe in the crafting view rather than relying on an inventory tooltip or a remembered ingredient list.
- Read every displayed line. Record materials, quantities, station name and each unlock, blueprint or level condition. Expand any panel that hides additional requirements.
- Check the station. Move to the station named by the recipe or verify that the station is available to you. Do not test the same recipe repeatedly at an unrelated station.
- Verify the unlock. If the interface identifies a blueprint, level or other gate, satisfy that gate first. The item may remain unavailable even with a full material stack.
- Inspect material status. Confirm that each required quantity is marked available by the crafting screen, not merely present somewhere in storage under a similar name.
- Use the in-view material tools. When a requirement is marked missing, look for the supported options to recycle, refine or purchase that material directly from the crafting view.
- Reopen the recipe after making changes. After obtaining, recycling or refining a material, return to the recipe and let the requirement indicators refresh before trying to craft again.
- Escalate only after the display agrees. If every requirement is shown as satisfied but the craft action is still unavailable, capture the details and send a reproducible report through Embark’s Help Center.
How to read the requirement panel without missing a blocker
Start at the recipe title and work downward. Write down the item name exactly, then list each material and quantity in order. Next identify the named station. Finally, look for level, blueprint or other unlock text, including text that appears only after selecting the item. This simple order separates resource problems from progression problems.
When a material is marked missing, compare the exact label and form rather than only the icon color. A raw input and a refined output may be related but still count as different requirements. If the game provides an action beside the missing line, use that action as the authoritative way to determine whether the material is eligible for recycling, refining or purchase.
After any change, reread the entire panel. Satisfying one ingredient can reveal another unmet condition, and a refreshed quantity does not automatically confirm the station or unlock. The goal is for every displayed line to agree before you interpret an unavailable button as a technical failure.
How the crafting view can supply missing materials
Patch Notes 1.22.0 added ways to address missing ingredients without leaving the crafting screen. Embark describes the change this way:
"Quickly acquire missing materials directly from the crafting view."
"Recycling, refining, or purchasing missing materials is now available in the same window to complete crafting."

These controls are options, not guarantees that every material can be obtained in every way. Availability and eligibility depend on the selected item and the current game state. If an option is absent or disabled, follow the alternative that the interface offers instead of assuming the feature is broken.

Use the option attached to the missing line, not an unrelated inventory command. If recycling changes one count but the recipe still shows another shortage, repeat the check for the remaining line. If refining produces an intermediate item, confirm that the recipe now recognizes the refined form. If purchasing is offered, wait for the transaction to complete and then inspect the refreshed requirement panel.
After using one of these actions, inspect the requirement indicators again. The craft action should be judged by the refreshed recipe, not by an earlier count or by an inventory number copied from a different screen.
Why older requirement lists cause confusion
ARC Raiders has changed crafting rules during its update history. Embark’s November Update 1.2.0, for example, changed recipes and unlock requirements, including moving the ARC Motion Core and ARC Circuitry unlock from Refiner level 3 to level 2. That historical change demonstrates why a level quoted in an old guide must not be applied automatically to a current item. It is evidence of changing requirements, not a current universal requirement for those items.
Patch Notes 1.22.0 are also important because they changed the crafting interface itself by adding material-acquisition actions to the same window. A guide written before that patch may tell you to leave the recipe and search elsewhere, while the current interface may expose a direct option.
Embark’s official news listing identifies Frozen Trail 2.0 as an October 8, 2026 update, and its Steam community announcement describes substantial changes including the Outpost and Research Bench. Those changes make the update date relevant when you compare instructions, but the available announcements do not provide a complete, item-by-item troubleshooting matrix or establish that every previous crafting failure was fixed. Use the recipe and controls shown by your installed version rather than assuming that any update solved a particular error.
Version context matters in both directions. A newer client can contain a recipe change that an older guide misses, while an older client may not display the material tools introduced in 1.22.0. Record the version shown by your client when asking for help so another player or support agent can reproduce the same state.

What to record before contacting support
A precise report helps support distinguish an unmet requirement from a genuine interface or game fault. Capture the item name exactly as displayed, the station named by the recipe, your platform, the game version or update shown by your client, and the full error text or button state. Include which materials were marked available, which unlock or blueprint condition was shown, and whether recycling, refining or purchasing controls appeared.
Describe the sequence that reproduces the problem rather than writing only that crafting is “broken.” For example, state that you opened a named recipe, used the station listed, confirmed every displayed material and unlock, returned to the recipe after the counts refreshed, and still could not select the craft action. If the issue changes after restarting or moving stations, record that difference instead of presenting the result as a permanent failure.

Include the smallest useful evidence set: a screenshot of the full requirement panel, a screenshot of the unavailable action or exact message, and the steps that led to it. If a short recording is possible on your platform, show the recipe, station and attempted action in one sequence. Avoid omitting the version number; the same item can behave differently after an update.
Use Embark’s Help Center for the report and retain screenshots or a short recording if the platform allows it. Do not substitute a claim about a platform-specific bug unless an official notice matches your platform and version. The currently documented information does not establish one fix that resolves every persistent crafting failure.
Checks that prevent wasted materials and time
- Do not farm ingredients before reading the current recipe. A changed recipe can make a stockpile irrelevant.
- Do not treat similar names as interchangeable. Confirm the exact material and form shown by the requirement panel.
- Do not assume one station handles every craft. Follow the station named for that item.
- Do not apply historical level numbers blindly. The Refiner level change in Update 1.2.0 is a dated example of requirements moving between updates.
- Do not leave the crafting view unnecessarily. Patch 1.22.0 added in-window recycling, refining and purchasing where eligible.
- Do not spend a scarce item on a speculative conversion. First confirm that the offered recycle or refine result matches the recipe’s exact requirement.
- Do not assume an absent button is universal. A missing material action can depend on the selected item and current game state.
- Do not promise yourself a hidden workaround. If all visible requirements are met and the action still fails, document the state and escalate it.
A practical decision tree
If the recipe identifies missing materials
Stay in the crafting view and inspect the controls attached to the missing requirement. Use the offered recycle, refine or purchase path when eligible. Once the material indicator changes to available, check the whole recipe again because another requirement may still be incomplete.
If no material is missing
Read the station and unlock portions of the panel. A wrong station or incomplete blueprint condition can block crafting even when every ingredient is present. Resolve the named condition, then reopen the recipe.

Compare its exact name and form with the recipe. The interface may require a refined material or a specific component rather than a related raw item. Use the material action offered by the recipe, if any, and verify the refreshed count instead of relying on an inventory total.

If a guide and the game disagree
Use the live recipe and identify the guide’s date and version. Official notes confirm that requirements have changed, so a disagreement is not by itself evidence of a bug.
If the live display shows everything complete
Record the item, station, platform, version, exact message and steps that reproduce the unavailable action. Submit those details through official support. The available documentation does not support claiming a single reset, reinstall or other workaround for all such cases.
Bottom line for “Why can’t I craft this?”
Most unavailable crafts are explained by the requirement panel: a missing or ineligible material, the wrong station, or an unfinished unlock or blueprint condition. The crafting view may now resolve eligible material shortages through recycling, refining or purchasing. Because ARC Raiders requirements and interfaces change, dated guides are only references. When the current display says every requirement is satisfied and crafting still fails, treat it as an unresolved, reproducible support issue and provide Embark with the exact evidence needed to investigate.

Why is an ARC Raiders recipe unavailable when I have the ingredients?
