All Star Tower Defense (ASTD) codes usually fail for one of five reasons: the code was mistyped, the wrong Roblox account or experience is open, the reward was already claimed, the code expired, or the code has a requirement your account does not meet. Confirm that you are playing the original All Star Tower Defense experience by Top Down Games, then check each cause in order. For a newly announced code, joining a fresh server is also a reasonable community-suggested step.
Start by confirming the correct Roblox experience
Roblox has many tower-defense games with similar names. A code published for another game will not redeem in ASTD, even if the text looks familiar. Open the official experience listing for All Star Tower Defense and verify that the creator is Top Down Games.
The listing shown on October 8, 2026, directs players to the update board in the lobby and to the developer’s social links for information and codes. Those are the best places to validate a code’s spelling, announcement date and eligibility before trying troubleshooting steps. The listing does not provide a complete, permanently current code roster, so an old list copied elsewhere is not proof that a code still works.

Work through the checks below without skipping ahead. Each one rules out a different failure mode, and the order prevents you from spending time on server changes when the real problem is a typo or an expired entry.

1. Re-enter every character exactly
Watch for common transcription mistakes
Copying a code from a video description, chat message or image can introduce an extra space or replace a similar-looking character. A zero and the letter “O,” a one and a lowercase “l,” or a missing capital letter can produce a rejection. Delete the entire field and type or paste the code again rather than editing one suspicious character in place.
- Remove spaces before the first character and after the last one.
- Do not add quotation marks, punctuation or a trailing period copied from a sentence.
- Preserve uppercase and lowercase letters exactly as shown in the current announcement.
- Check that every digit is present and in the same position.
- If you pasted the value, try typing it manually once to rule out an invisible character.
Roblox Support’s general guidance is to make sure the promo code was entered accurately. That advice applies to the first ASTD check, but it does not identify a particular ASTD error message or guarantee that a correctly typed code is still active.
2. Make sure the intended Roblox account is logged in
Code rewards are applied to the account that is currently playing. Shared computers, console profiles and multiple browser sessions can leave a different Roblox account signed in than the one you intended to use. Before trying again, compare the username in the Roblox account menu with the account that should receive the ASTD reward.
- Leave the ASTD experience.
- Open the Roblox account menu and read the current username.
- Sign out and back in if the username is not the intended account.
- Launch the Top Down Games experience again and enter the code once.
Do not assume that repeating the same code on a second account transfers the reward. Roblox Support treats the logged-in account as one of the basic redemption conditions, and ASTD’s reward behavior can be separate from Roblox avatar-code behavior.

3. Check whether the reward was already claimed
A failed-looking redemption can be a duplicate attempt. Search the inventory, currency balance or reward section where that ASTD item normally appears. Roblox Support recommends checking inventory for an item the player may already own before treating a redemption as unsuccessful.
This is a broad duplicate-reward check rather than a confirmed explanation for every ASTD response. ASTD rewards are game items and may not appear in the Roblox avatar inventory used for platform promo items. If the code grants an in-game currency, compare the balance before and after a fresh login; if it grants a unit or consumable, inspect the corresponding ASTD collection rather than the Roblox catalog.
4. Verify that the code has not expired
Why old lists are unreliable
Roblox Support states that “Promo codes are often available for a limited time only.” An entry marked “working” on a third-party page can still be expired if the page was not updated after the promotion ended. The ASTD community codes page also warns that entries may be outdated.
Find the original announcement date and compare it with the current date. A code without a date, source or current confirmation should be treated as unverified. Do not infer that a code is active because another player redeemed it in an older video or because it appears near newer entries on a list.

How to validate a candidate code
- Open the ASTD lobby update board or a social channel linked from the official Roblox listing.
- Locate the exact announcement for the code.
- Record the publication date and any stated end date, level, event or server condition.
- Compare the spelling and capitalization in that announcement with what you entered.
- Use the code only if the announcement is current enough to support its validity; otherwise, regard it as expired or unconfirmed.
The official listing is the authority for where Top Down Games posts updates. It does not expose a guaranteed live roster, so no external “active codes” label can replace a current developer-linked confirmation.
5. Check code-specific level or eligibility requirements
Some ASTD code entries include a minimum player level. The community-maintained ASTD codes page contains examples with level requirements of 50 and 100, but those examples belong to particular dated codes. They do not establish a permanent level requirement for every ASTD code.
Read the requirement attached to the exact code announcement or the message shown in the game. If it says level 50, an account at level 49 may be rejected even when every character is correct and the code has not expired. If no requirement is stated, do not invent one from a different code or from a community list.
- Check the account’s current ASTD level, not a friend’s level or a Roblox profile statistic.
- Confirm that the requirement applies to the account receiving the reward.
- After reaching the required level, re-enter the code rather than assuming a previous failed attempt will retry automatically.
- Keep the code’s announcement open while checking; requirements can vary from one promotion to another.
6. Join a fresh server for a newly released code
If a code was announced while you were already playing, your server may have started before the announcement. The ASTD community wiki recommends joining a new or VIP server in that situation. This is community advice, not a first-party guarantee, so treat it as a targeted test rather than a universal fix.

- Return to the experience page and choose a newly available public server, or use a VIP server you are permitted to join.
- Wait for the lobby and code interface to load fully.
- Enter the code exactly as it appears in the current announcement.
A server change cannot revive an expired code, correct a typo or bypass a level requirement. It is useful only when the code is genuinely new and the original server may not have loaded the relevant update.
Compare candidate codes by evidence, not reward size
When several pages list different ASTD codes, the most useful comparison is whether each entry is trustworthy and applicable. Reward size does not answer why redemption fails. Use this checklist before trying an entry:

What if the game shows an error message?
There is no documented, authoritative map that connects each ASTD error string to one specific cause. A message that appears after a failed submission may indicate an invalid, expired, already-claimed or ineligible code, but the available official guidance does not let you diagnose the exact cause from the wording alone.

Instead, use the message as a prompt to run the checks in order:
- For an “invalid” style response, recheck every character, the experience and the account before assuming expiration.
- For a “used” or duplicate-looking response, inspect the ASTD reward area and currency balance.
- For a requirement-related response, read the exact announcement and verify the account level.
- For a code that worked for others but not on your old server, try the fresh-server test once.
Do not claim that a particular error proves a specific cause when the game or developer has not documented that mapping.
A complete redemption workflow
Use this procedure whenever you find a new code and want a clean, reproducible test.

Include the exact code, source date, Roblox username (without sharing your password), server context and the message displayed.
The available guidance does not establish a guaranteed workaround for every ASTD redemption failure. Do not pay anyone to “activate” a code, and do not treat an unverified third-party list as proof of availability. The useful evidence is the developer’s current announcement plus the account, entry, validity, requirement and server checks above.
