If a Fortnite reward is missing, first verify that you are using the Epic Games account that earned or purchased it. Then search the correct Locker category with every filter cleared, inspect Archived items, and complete any claim step on the service that issued the reward. Twitch Drops, 2FA rewards, Live Event rewards and Battle Pass Bonus Rewards each have different eligibility and delivery rules.
Do not assume the entitlement is gone because Fortnite did not show a notification. Some rewards appear silently, and documented delivery delays can last up to 72 hours for Live Event rewards or, in specific Twitch Drop cases, up to 14 days.
Start with this five-minute check
- Confirm the Epic account. Sign in to the Epic Games account you used when earning or buying the reward. For a purchase, compare the email on the receipt with the email of the account currently signed in.
- Verify console linking. If you play on PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch or another console, make sure that console profile is linked to the intended Epic account. Fortnite progress and saved data belong to the Epic account, not the linked console account.
- Open the right Locker category. In Fortnite, open Locker, choose the expected item type, such as Outfit, Back Bling or Pickaxe, and clear all Sort and Filter settings.
- Check Archived items. An archived cosmetic is hidden from the ordinary collection view. Look in the Archived section before treating the item as missing.
- Follow the reward’s original claim path. Twitch Drops must be claimed on Twitch, Battle Pass rewards must be claimed on the Battle Pass page, and some event rewards arrive without an in-game message.
Epic states that cosmetics and items on your account are visible in the in-game Locker. If the item is not visible after these checks and its applicable waiting period has passed, contact Epic Support with evidence of how you earned it.
Identify the reward before troubleshooting
The fastest diagnosis is to establish who issued the reward. A store purchase, Twitch campaign, 2FA promotion, Live Event and Battle Pass all use different claim systems. Write down the item name, where you earned it and the date before changing account settings. That prevents you from applying a Twitch fix to a Battle Pass claim or waiting 72 hours for an item that was never claimed.

- Purchase: Look for a receipt and the account email attached to the transaction.
- Twitch: Confirm that the Drop was claimed, not merely watched, and identify the Twitch account that was linked at the time.
- 2FA: Confirm which Epic account had 2FA enabled and which account your console uses.
- Live Event: Record the event name and the date it ended; rewards may be granted without a message.
- Battle Pass: Check the pass page, level requirement and whether earlier rewards were claimed.
This source-first approach also tells you when to stop waiting. Twitch has a documented exception of up to 14 days, while Live Event attendance rewards can take up to 72 hours. Those windows do not replace eligibility checks and do not apply to every reward type.
Why a Fortnite reward can be absent
A missing Locker item usually falls into one of five categories:
- Wrong account: You are signed into a different Epic account, or your console is linked to another Epic account.
- Hidden view: A Locker filter, sort setting or Archive status is hiding the item.
- Incomplete claim: The reward still needs to be claimed on Twitch or the Battle Pass page.
- Delivery delay: The reward is still inside the issuer’s stated processing window.
- Eligibility issue: The account does not meet a condition, such as an active Battle Pass, required level, preceding claims, correct account link or completed parent setup for a Cabined Account.
Restarting Fortnite can refresh the display, but it cannot create an entitlement that was earned on another account or never claimed. Diagnose the reward by its source instead of repeating restarts indefinitely.

Fix a purchased item missing from the Locker
1. Use the receipt to identify the account
Find the purchase receipt email and note the email address associated with the transaction. Sign out of Epic, then sign back in with that account. If the receipt belongs to an account different from the one you normally use on console, the purchase will not appear in the other account’s Locker.
2. Search every relevant item type
Open Locker and select the category that matches the purchase. Clear filters and sorting, apply the changes, and inspect Archived items. A cosmetic can be present but omitted from the default collection view when a filter is active or the item has been archived.
3. Check for an Epic removal message
If Epic displayed a message saying that an item was removed, follow the separate removal guidance associated with that notice. Do not treat a removal notice as a normal display problem.
4. Escalate with purchase details
If the receipt account, Locker search and any removal guidance do not resolve the issue, contact Epic Support. Include the Epic display name, the purchase receipt information and a concise description of what is absent. Never give your password or authentication codes to an unofficial recovery service.

Fix a Twitch Drop that is not in Fortnite
Claim the Drop on Twitch
Watching a qualifying stream is not the final step. Open Twitch’s Drops or inventory area and explicitly claim the reward. Then launch Fortnite on the Epic account connected to that Twitch account.
Verify the Twitch-to-Epic link
Check that Twitch is linked to the same Epic account you use in Fortnite. If the wrong Epic account is linked, correct the connection and relink Twitch as needed. A Twitch claim attached to a different Epic account will not populate the Locker of the account you intended to use.
Look in the Locker without waiting for a notification
After claiming, search the expected Locker category with filters cleared and inspect Archived items. Epic says Drops should normally appear after claiming, but specific cases can take up to 14 days. That period applies to the documented exceptional cases; it is not a promise that every Drop will take that long.
Check Cabined Account status
Cabined Accounts cannot earn Twitch Drop rewards until a parent or guardian completes the required account setup. If the account is cabined, complete that setup before troubleshooting the Locker further.
Fix a reward for enabling two-factor authentication
Confirm the account and 2FA state
Verify that 2FA was enabled on the Epic account you actually use to play Fortnite. Enabling 2FA on one Epic account does not grant the reward to a different account.
Check the console connection
On console, confirm that the console profile is linked to the same Epic account where 2FA was enabled. This account check is important because Fortnite progress is stored with Epic, not independently on the console profile.
Restart and search again
Restart Fortnite, open Locker, clear the category filters and inspect Archived items. Epic notes that the reward may not appear immediately. Cabined Account restrictions may also affect eligibility, so complete any required parent or guardian setup if the account is cabined.

Fix a Live Event attendance reward
Search even if Fortnite showed no message
Some Live Event rewards arrive without a notification. Open the relevant Locker category, clear filters and check Archived items.
Allow the full delivery window
Wait up to 72 hours after the event ends. This is the delivery window documented for Live Event attendance rewards, not a guarantee that every event reward is granted to every account.
Contact support after 72 hours
If the item is still absent after that window, contact Epic Support. Provide a short description, your Epic display name and the event name or date so support can investigate the correct entitlement.
Fix Battle Pass Bonus Rewards that do not unlock
Confirm the pass is active
Open the Battle Pass page and verify that the account has an active Battle Pass. Bonus Rewards are not available under the same conditions as a free progression track.
Check level and preceding claims
Verify that you reached the required level for the specific Bonus Reward and claimed the earlier rewards on the Battle Pass page. Some Bonus Rewards require multiple level-ups, so reaching one level may not be enough for the item you selected.

After confirming the pass, level and preceding claims, restart Fortnite and check the Battle Pass page and Locker again. A restart can refresh the display, but it does not replace a missing eligibility requirement.
When a premium Battle Pass claim reports an error
If Fortnite displays an error while processing a premium Battle Pass reward, use this order:

- Confirm that you are signed into the account that owns the Battle Pass.
- Sign out of Epic and sign back in.
- Restart Fortnite.
- Wait briefly and retry the claim.
- Check Epic Games Status for an active outage or service incident.
- Try the claim on another device if one is available.
Once the claim succeeds, search the appropriate Locker category with filters cleared. If the error persists across devices and there is no status incident, contact Epic Support and describe the exact reward and error.
Account and console linking: the check that prevents false “missing” reports
Epic explains that saved data and progress are stored on the Epic Games account, not on the linked console account. Signing into a newly created or different Epic account can therefore make your expected cosmetics, levels and rewards appear to have disappeared even though they remain associated with the original account.

- Avoid creating a new Epic account as a test; doing so can put you in the wrong account context.
- After correcting the link or sign-in, restart Fortnite and repeat the Locker search.
How to contact Epic Support effectively
Escalate when the reward is absent after the applicable checks and waiting period, or when Epic has shown a removal or processing error that you cannot resolve. A useful support request is short and specific:
- Epic display name and the platform you use.
- The reward name or a clear description of the item type.
- How it was earned: purchase, Twitch Drop, 2FA, Live Event or Battle Pass.
- The relevant date, such as the purchase date or Live Event date.
- Receipt details for a purchase, or confirmation that a Twitch Drop was claimed.
- The exact error message, if a premium Battle Pass claim failed.
- The account and console-linking checks you already completed.
Do not include your password, one-time codes or other credentials. Epic’s missing-item support guidance directs unresolved cases to its support contact route.
What not to do
- Do not buy another copy of a digital item to test whether the first one worked.
- Do not assume a missing notification means the reward was not granted.
- Do not keep changing accounts or creating new Epic accounts while troubleshooting.
- Do not use unofficial account-recovery services or share login credentials with them.
- Do not treat a documented waiting period as proof that the reward will arrive after the deadline; contact support when the stated window has passed.
A practical decision path
- Purchased item: Match the receipt email to the Epic account, then search Locker and Archive.
- Twitch Drop: Claim it on Twitch, verify the linked Epic account, search Locker, and allow up to 14 days only in the specific cases Epic identifies.
- 2FA reward: Confirm 2FA and console linking on the playing Epic account, restart Fortnite and search again.
- Live Event: Search without relying on a notification, wait up to 72 hours after the event, then provide the display name and event date to support.
- Battle Pass Bonus: Confirm the active pass, required level and earlier claims; for premium claim errors, sign back in, restart, check status and try another device.
- Still missing: Contact Epic Support with the source, account details and evidence that you completed the relevant steps.

Why is my Fortnite reward missing even though I earned it?
The usual causes are a different Epic account, an incorrect console link, a Locker filter, an archived item, an incomplete claim or a documented delivery delay. Identify the reward source first, then follow that source’s checks instead of treating every missing item as the same problem.
Why did I not get a notification for my Fortnite reward?

Twitch Drops should normally appear after you claim them and use the correctly linked Epic account. Epic documents that specific cases can take up to 14 days. If that period applies and the item is still absent, contact support with proof of the Twitch claim and account link.
