Choose a diamond blade whose manufacturer lists your paver or concrete type, then confirm the blade fits your saw’s diameter, arbor, saw class and speed limits. Husqvarna’s VARI-CUT S45 is listed for pavers, blocks and several concrete conditions; DEWALT’s 7-inch DW4784 is described for wet or dry stone and masonry cutting, including concrete, brick and block. These are use-case examples, not independently tested winners.
Compare the blade examples by material and saw fit
Neither product is a universal choice. Match the exact blade variant to the material and equipment; product specifications and suitability statements below are from the manufacturers.

The manufacturers’ pages do not establish a controlled, independent head-to-head comparison for cutting speed, finish, service life or value. Choose by documented material range and compatibility rather than treating either example as a tested overall winner.

Use the saw and blade manuals to verify the complete setup. A blade that matches the material can still be unsafe or unusable if it does not fit the machine or exceed its operating limits.

- Diameter: Use only a diameter allowed by the saw. Product families may have variants with different diameters.
- Arbor and mounting: Confirm the arbor or flange fit and follow the manual’s mounting instructions.
- Saw type and speed: Confirm the blade is intended for the saw class and that its rated speed meets or exceeds the machine’s stated speed. Husqvarna warns against operating a blade below the machine’s speed rating. Husqvarna blade safety manual and guidance
- Material: Use the blade only on materials it was made for. Check whether the product’s stated range covers the paver or concrete’s condition, including hardness and reinforcement.
- Guard and water delivery: Check the saw manual for the required guard, water supply and operating limits before cutting.
Operate a wet-cutting blade with water
Husqvarna’s guidance states: “Diamond blades for wet cutting must be used with water.” Water cools the blade, may extend its service life and decreases dust during operation; the manufacturer also advises collecting wastewater safely. Water does not eliminate silica exposure or make cutting risk-free. Follow the saw and blade instructions and applicable safety precautions. Husqvarna wet-cutting guidance
Husqvarna also says wet-cutting blades cannot be used dry. Do not treat a blade described as suitable for wet or dry use as permission to run a different wet-only blade without water; follow the exact blade’s instructions.

Which example fits your job?
Choose the VARI-CUT S45 when its listed range and size match
It is the more directly documented example for pavers and for the listed concrete conditions, but you still need the correct diameter and saw compatibility. Check the exact US product variant and your saw manual before purchase.

Consider the DW4784 when a permitted 7-inch blade matches the material
DEWALT describes this blade for wet or dry stone and masonry work, including concrete, brick and block. Confirm your saw allows that diameter and that the specific paver or concrete falls within the product’s stated scope.

Do not choose by a general “concrete blade” label alone
For either example, the manufacturer’s material range and the machine’s fit and speed requirements matter more than a broad category label. The available product claims do not establish comparative performance or prove that one blade cuts every paver or concrete mix better than the other.
