Start with the settings and choices that determine whether vivo Vision feels stable and easy to control: adjust the headband and facial fit, choose a virtual scene and viewing mode for the task, select day or night appearance manually, learn gaze-and-pinch interaction, and add only the windows you actually need. These steps reflect vivo’s documented features plus practical setup advice; they are not a claim that one preset is universally best.
Use this order for your first setup
- Fit the headset before judging tracking. Try the single-loop and double-loop band configurations and settle the headset on your face.
- Choose a scene and viewing mode for the job. Use the windowed workspace when several screens must remain visible; use an immersive scene when the surrounding virtual environment is the point of the session.
- Set day or night appearance manually. vivo documents a manual switch rather than an automatic clock-based change.
- Learn the interaction model. Look at an item to point at it, then use a two-finger pinch to confirm.
- Add virtual windows gradually. vivo warns that too many open screens can increase system load and reduce smoothness.
- Treat recentering and calibration as undocumented until your software shows a clear control. The public product material mentions one-click picture realignment but does not identify the button or menu path.
Complete the first five steps before hunting for advanced controls. The public material available for vivo Vision is a product overview, not a full software manual, so exact labels and paths may differ by software version or region.
1. Fit the headset before changing interaction settings
vivo describes two band choices, a single-loop and a double-loop design, along with a fit intended to accommodate different face shapes. That gives you a physical adjustment to make before you decide that gaze selection or hand input is inaccurate.
Choose the band by activity and stability
- Single-loop band: a sensible starting point for a quick demonstration or a session in which you want the simplest band arrangement.
- Double-loop band: worth trying when you want another way to distribute the headset’s weight or keep it steadier during longer or more active use.
Those are practical recommendations, not a documented comfort ranking. vivo does not publish comparative comfort or tracking results for the two configurations. Tighten only enough to keep the display and sensors in a consistent position; changing the fit after you begin testing interaction can make an apparent software problem a placement problem instead.

Check the fit before testing gaze
Look at several targets at different heights and toward the edges of your usable view. If the headset shifts, your eyes are partly obscured, or the image is not centered on your face, correct the physical position first. This “fit first” sequence is an editorial setup recommendation inferred from the adjustable design, not an official calibration procedure.
vivo lists the headset and its stated fit components at 398 g. That figure is a manufacturer specification; it is not a prediction of how heavy the device will feel on every face or with every band adjustment.
2. Choose the environment and viewing mode for the task
The documented scene choices include a desert, a terraced field, and a snowy mountain. vivo also describes a windowed workspace in which windows can float, resize, and remain anchored. Pick among them by what you need to see and do, not by assuming that one scene is objectively faster or more comfortable.
Quick wins for a faster PC:

Windowed mode is the practical choice when you need multiple applications or screens in view at once—for example, keeping a reference window beside a document or monitoring one panel while working in another. Floating, resizable, anchored windows let you arrange that workspace around your task. Start with the smallest useful set and place the most important window where your gaze naturally lands.

Use immersive mode when the full scene is the task
An immersive environment makes sense when you want the virtual setting itself to surround the activity, such as exploring a scene or concentrating on one full-screen experience. This is a use-case choice, not a measured performance advantage over the windowed workspace.
| Choice | Documented options | When it is a sensible first choice |
|---|---|---|
| Virtual theme | Desert; terraced field; snowy mountain | Choose the appearance you find easiest to look at and the day/night presentation you want. |
| Viewing mode | Windowed workspace with floating, resizable, anchored windows; immersive virtual environment | Windowed for multitasking; immersive when a complete virtual scene is the focus. |
The sources do not report user testing that ranks these themes or modes. Any preference you develop is personal and task-dependent.
3. Set day or night appearance yourself
Each documented theme supports a day/night switch. vivo’s product page states: 每大主题均支持白天 / 黑夜模式切换13
. The accompanying footnote says the change must be enabled manually. In other words, do not expect the headset to change the scene automatically when the clock reaches a particular time.
Pick the appearance that matches your immediate session
- Choose the day presentation when you want the brighter version of the selected desert, terraced-field, or snowy-mountain theme.
- Choose the night presentation when that visual treatment better suits the room, the time of day, or your preference.
Because the public overview does not expose a complete settings map, the exact control name and location are not established here. Look for the theme’s day/night control in the current on-device interface rather than following a menu path copied from an older version.

4. Learn gaze pointing and two-finger confirmation
vivo describes gaze as the pointer: look at an item to aim at it, then use a two-finger pinch to confirm. Practice that sequence before searching for sensitivity sliders. It tells you whether a missed selection comes from where you are looking, how you are pinching, or how the headset is sitting.
A simple interaction drill
- Hold your head naturally and look directly at a visible target.
- Pause briefly so the gaze pointer settles on that target.
- Bring two fingers together in the documented pinch gesture to confirm.
- Repeat with a target near the center, then with one higher, lower, and farther to the side.
The figures below are manufacturer claims from vivo’s product materials, not independent measurements. The retrieved pages do not establish an adjustable eye-tracking sensitivity control or a calibration menu.
| Specification | Value claimed by vivo | How to interpret it |
|---|---|---|
| Eye-tracking precision | 1.5° | vivo’s stated precision figure; no independent comparative measurement is established here. |
| Finger tracking | 26 degrees of freedom | vivo’s stated tracking specification, not a guarantee of identical results for every user or gesture. |
| Vertical interaction range | 175° | vivo’s stated range for interaction in the vertical direction. |
| Full-color passthrough latency | 13 ms minimum claimed | A minimum latency claim from vivo; real behavior can depend on software and operating conditions. |
If selection consistently misses in one direction, return to fit and posture checks before assuming the specification is being met or that an unconfirmed setting is available. There is no documented public menu path here for changing tracking sensitivity.

5. Keep the number of open windows practical
vivo says several virtual screens can be displayed together, but also warns that opening too many may raise system load and affect smoothness. Treat window count as a resource decision rather than a competition to display everything at once.

- Please Note: To reach 10Gbps speed, keep the cable under 3.3 ft. For USB A Male to USB C adapters, try flipping the USB C connector. USB C Male to USB A adapters support bidirectional 10Gbps transfer within 3.3 ft
Add windows in stages
- Open the primary window for the task.
- Add one supporting window and resize or anchor it where you can reach it with a short gaze movement.
- Use the workspace for a few minutes before adding another screen.
- If motion becomes less smooth, remove the least important window first and check whether the behavior improves.
This approach preserves the benefit of a multi-screen workspace without assuming that the headset will remain equally smooth at every window count. vivo does not publish a universal maximum in the cited material, so a fixed number should not be treated as a supported limit.
6. Handle recentering cautiously
The official overview mentions one-click picture realignment while you turn your head. It does not identify the button, gesture, or menu path that triggers it. That means you can regard recentering as a documented capability, but you should not rely on an exact instruction until a current user guide or the headset’s own interface confirms it.
When to look for the control
If the scene appears offset after you change your posture or turn your head, first return to a neutral head position and check the physical fit. Then inspect the current on-device controls for a clearly labeled realignment action. Avoid assigning a random button or gesture based on another headset’s layout; the available vivo material does not support that mapping.

Common symptoms and the safest first response
Selections feel inaccurate
Recheck band tension and headset position, then repeat the gaze-and-pinch drill. The public product material does not confirm a sensitivity slider or calibration path, so do not invent one from memory of another device.
The workspace feels crowded or less smooth
Close or remove the least important virtual screen. vivo explicitly warns that too many open windows can increase system load and affect smoothness.
The scene looks wrong for the session
Change the theme among the documented desert, terraced-field, and snowy-mountain choices, then set day or night manually. No source-backed ranking says one scene is best.
The picture is no longer centered
Stop, return your head to a neutral position, and check the fit. The overview mentions one-click realignment but does not establish its control location, so verify the action in the current interface before using it.
What the public material does not establish
- An exact menu path for eye-tracking calibration.
- An adjustable eye-tracking sensitivity setting.
- An exact button or gesture for one-click picture realignment.
- A tested comfort or performance ranking for the two band designs.
- A tested ranking of the three environments or of windowed versus immersive mode.
- A universal maximum number of windows that can be opened smoothly.
These gaps matter because software labels, controls, regional releases, and updates can change. Use the headset’s current interface and documentation for any control that the product overview does not name.
Manufacturer figures at a glance
| Item | Figure or capability | Qualification |
|---|---|---|
| Weight | 398 g | vivo product-page specification for the headset and listed fit components. |
| Eye tracking | 1.5° precision | Manufacturer claim; no independent comparison established. |
| Finger tracking | 26 degrees of freedom | Manufacturer claim. |
| Vertical interaction | 175° range | Manufacturer claim. |
| Full-color passthrough | 13 ms minimum claimed latency | Manufacturer claim; actual behavior may vary by conditions. |
The most useful “setting” is therefore not a hidden performance preset. It is a sequence: make the fit stable, choose a scene and mode that match the task, switch day or night deliberately, learn gaze plus pinch, and keep the workspace within a window count that remains smooth.
