How to check whether your laptop will fit
- Measure the laptop itself. Record its height, width, and thickness, including any fixed protrusions that affect how it sits in a sleeve.
- Find the compartment dimensions. The Thule Aion listing provides measurements of 15.75 × 10.25 × 0.75 inches. For other candidates, use the current manufacturer listing or ask the seller for internal pocket measurements if they are not shown.
- Compare the actual measurements, not only the screen size. Two laptops with the same screen diagonal can have different body dimensions, and a thick device may not fit a narrow compartment even when its screen size is within the stated limit.
- Allow for a snug sleeve and your case. If you plan to carry the laptop in a protective case, check whether the combined dimensions fit. The manufacturer fit claims are not independent tests across laptop models.
Balance capacity, weight, and airport handling
The listed volumes run from 18 L to 45 L. Think about what you will carry besides the laptop: a compact work-and-overnight load may call for less space than a longer trip with clothing and other gear.
