The best home-office speakerphone depends on who needs to be heard: a solo worker, a couple of people at a desk, or a small group around a table. The five candidates below cover those use cases, but the available evidence does not establish a universal performance ranking or firsthand testing. Match the device to your room and connection needs, and treat secondary publishers’ recommendations as editorial judgments.
Five home-office speakerphones, matched to the job
| Model | Best fit | What the available sources report | Important qualification |
|---|---|---|---|
| Jabra Speak2 55 | Feature-rich desk setup where full-duplex speech and flexible connections matter | Jabra’s March 2023 datasheet lists four beamforming microphones, full-duplex audio, voice-level normalization, a 50 mm speaker, USB-A and USB-C cable connectors, Bluetooth 5.1, and up to 12 hours of wireless calls and music. | Jabra says IP64 protection applies to the MS variant only. Check current listings and platform/software status. |
| Anker PowerConf S3 | Wireless-capable home-office calls, including use with a phone | TechWise Reviews’ August 2026 comparison reports a six-microphone array, USB-C, Bluetooth 5, up to 24 hours of claimed call time, and an included travel case. | These are comparison-reported product claims, not measurements made for this article. TechWise calls it its overall home-office pick. |
| EMEET Luna | Potential small-group option | TechWise Reviews discusses the Luna as a small-group choice alongside the PowerConf S3 and Jabra Speak 510. | The comparison does not establish specifications that apply to every Luna variant. Verify the exact model and its current specifications. |
| AnkerWork PowerConf S500 | Value-minded alternative to investigate | Real Buyer Experiences compares it on pickup, full-duplex clarity, room size, connectivity, battery, portability, and certification. | The publisher synthesizes other reviews and owner claims; it does not report independent lab testing. |
| Poly Sync 20 | Solo remote worker or traveler | Real Buyer Experiences positions it for personal use and reports roughly two-meter pickup. It also identifies USB-A and USB-C versions and Teams/Zoom variants. | The pickup figure and positioning are that publisher’s comparison, not manufacturer-verified specifications in the available material. Confirm version and platform variant before buying. |
How to choose by room and call style
For one person at a desk
A personal speakerphone can work well when you sit close to it and the room is reasonably quiet. Real Buyer Experiences describes the Poly Sync 20 as a one- or two-person device, citing roughly two-meter pickup. That is a comparison-reported figure, not a guarantee for every room, voice, or placement.
For a small group
Consider the EMEET Luna as a candidate because TechWise Reviews identifies it as a small-group option, but confirm the exact Luna model and specifications before relying on that fit. A compact personal unit should not be assumed to cover a larger conference table: microphone count alone does not prove usable pickup distance or noise rejection.
For wireless flexibility
The PowerConf S3 comparison reports both USB-C and Bluetooth 5, making it a candidate if you want a desk connection and the option to use a phone. Jabra’s Speak2 55 datasheet specifies Bluetooth 5.1 as well as USB-A and USB-C connectors on its cable. Confirm the ports, included cable, and supported connection modes on the precise listing you are considering.

For full-duplex conversation
Full-duplex audio lets people at both ends speak at the same time without one side being suppressed or clipped. Jabra documents this feature for the Speak2 55. Its datasheet describes the Speak2 range as engineered with advanced full-duplex audio so participants can speak and be heard simultaneously.
What matters more than microphone count
- Pickup for your seating distance: Match the device to how many people will speak and how far they sit from it. A higher microphone count is not, by itself, evidence of broader room coverage.
- Room noise: A speakerphone is intended for repeatable desk calls, not as a substitute for a headset in a noisy shared room. TechWise Reviews recommends setting it on a clear surface and using USB if laptop Bluetooth is unreliable; this is editorial advice, not an acoustic standard.
- Connection type: Wired USB can simplify a fixed laptop setup. Bluetooth is useful for mobile-device use and portability, but check that the specific model and variant support your intended connection.
- Battery and travel: Battery claims are relevant if you plan to move the device or use it away from a desk. The figures in the table are manufacturer or comparison-reported claims, not independent runtime tests here.
- Platform variant: A product family may have variants for different conferencing platforms. Verify the exact edition and certification rather than assuming every version carries the same status.
- Protection rating: Confirm that any durability rating applies to the exact variant. For the Speak2 55, Jabra limits IP64 protection to the MS variant.
Which one should you shortlist?
- Choose the Speak2 55 if its documented full-duplex behavior, USB and Bluetooth options, and other listed features suit your setup; check the exact variant, especially if IP64 matters.
- Consider the PowerConf S3 if you want a reported USB-C/Bluetooth combination and portability, while verifying its current listing and treating the comparison’s battery figure as a claim.
- Investigate the Luna if you need a small-group candidate, but verify the model-specific details before purchase.
- Compare the PowerConf S500 if value is central to your decision, keeping in mind that the cited publisher synthesizes owner claims and other reviews.
- Consider the Sync 20 for personal desk use or travel, after checking the USB and conferencing-platform variant that matches your equipment.
None of these comparisons establishes that a compact speakerphone replaces a large-room microphone system. For a larger table or several widely spaced speakers, confirm the manufacturer’s intended coverage before choosing.
