The best Sennheiser in-ear headphones depend on whether you want wireless convenience and noise cancellation or a wired monitor for recording and performance. The current shortlist includes the newer MOMENTUM True Wireless 5, its predecessor MOMENTUM True Wireless 4, the ACCENTUM True Wireless, and the wired IE 200. No available head-to-head evidence establishes one as the best choice for every listener.
Start with how you will use them
- For premium everyday wireless listening: Consider the MOMENTUM True Wireless 5 or MOMENTUM True Wireless 4. Both are true-wireless earbuds with active noise cancellation (ANC); the 5 is the newer generation, while the 4 has detailed manufacturer specifications for codecs, fit accessories, and battery conditions.
- For a wireless alternative: The ACCENTUM True Wireless offers hybrid ANC, app-based EQ and sound personalization, and a different stated battery rating from the manufacturer.
- For monitoring, recording, or performing: The wired IE 200 is identified by RTINGS as a low-latency option. It is not a direct substitute for wireless earbuds: it has no Bluetooth convenience or wireless ANC.
These are use-case distinctions, not a measured sound-quality ranking. The available sources do not provide standardized head-to-head testing across all four models.
How the four options differ
| Model | Connection and best fit | Documented features | Important trade-off |
|---|---|---|---|
| MOMENTUM True Wireless 5 | Premium true-wireless earbuds for listeners considering the latest generation | What Hi-Fi?’s 2026 review specification summary lists Bluetooth 6.0, ANC, codecs, and battery figures for ANC-on and ANC-off use. | The review says the comfort change from the 4 is not large and that strenuous movement may loosen the seal. Check current regional availability and exact listing. |
| MOMENTUM True Wireless 4 | Premium true-wireless earbuds | Sennheiser lists hybrid ANC, several audio codecs, fit accessories, Qi and USB-C charging, and up to 30 hours of playback including the case. | Battery runtime varies with conditions; the stated 7.5-hour earbud figure is for ANC and transparency off. |
| ACCENTUM True Wireless | True-wireless alternative | Sennheiser lists hybrid ANC, four ear-tip sizes, app EQ and sound personalization, Qi and USB-C charging, and up to 28 hours including the case. | These are manufacturer specifications, not comparative lab results. Auracast requires a firmware update. |
| IE 200 | Wired in-ear monitor for recording, monitoring, or performance | RTINGS identifies it for low-latency use. | No Bluetooth, wireless ANC, or true-wireless convenience. |
What to know about the MOMENTUM True Wireless generations
MOMENTUM True Wireless 5: the newer model
What Hi-Fi?’s 2026 review identifies the MOMENTUM True Wireless 5 as the newer model after the 4. Its specification summary lists Bluetooth 6.0 and SBC, AAC, aptX, and aptX Adaptive support. The review lists six hours of earbud playback and 20–25 hours total with the case when ANC is on; with ANC off, it lists 12 hours in the earbuds plus 40 hours from the case. Treat these as figures in that review’s specification summary, not as independent comparative measurements or a guarantee for every listening setup. The review also notes that strenuous movement may loosen the seal, so a secure fit matters if you plan to move vigorously.

MOMENTUM True Wireless 4: detailed codec and charging specifications
Sennheiser specifies a 7 mm TrueResponse dynamic transducer and hybrid ANC. The listed codecs are SBC, AAC, aptX, aptX Adaptive/Lossless, and LC3; codec benefits depend on support from the source device and software. The earbuds support USB-C and Qi wireless charging. Sennheiser says an eight-minute USB-C charge can provide about 1.5 hours of playback.

- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
Sennheiser rates the earbuds for up to 7.5 hours per charge with ANC and transparency off, and up to 7.0 hours with ANC on. The maximum total rating with the case is 30 hours. The company’s FAQ describes its 7.5-hour test conditions as AAC, mid-level volume, and ANC and transparency off. These are manufacturer ratings under stated conditions, not an independent head-to-head battery test.
ACCENTUM True Wireless: a separate wireless option
Sennheiser lists Bluetooth 5.3 and hybrid ANC for the ACCENTUM True Wireless, along with app EQ and sound personalization. Auracast is available through a firmware update, so check that the feature is enabled for your earbuds before relying on it. The manufacturer lists four ear-tip sizes and USB-C and Qi charging.

Its battery rating is up to 8 hours from the earbuds plus 20 hours from the case, for up to 28 hours total. That is a manufacturer specification, not evidence that it lasts longer or shorter than another model in a comparable test.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches2Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems3Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteFit, device compatibility, and buying checks
- Check the seal and comfort: The MOMENTUM True Wireless 4 includes four ear-tip sizes and three ear-fin sizes, and its app offers a fit test. ACCENTUM True Wireless includes four tip sizes. Included sizes do not guarantee comfort or a good seal for every ear; try different tips and assess comfort over time.
- Match codecs to your device: A listed codec only helps when the playback device supports it and the connection uses it. The MOMENTUM True Wireless 4’s broader listed codec set includes aptX Adaptive/Lossless and LC3; check device compatibility rather than choosing by codec list alone.
- Consider ANC and transparency needs: The MOMENTUM True Wireless 4 and ACCENTUM True Wireless list hybrid ANC. Compare the control and listening modes you need, rather than assuming battery or sound performance from the feature name.
- Choose wired or wireless deliberately: For low-latency monitoring and performance, the IE 200 serves a different role from earbuds intended for commuting, calls, or everyday wireless use.
- Check local availability and price: Prices and stock vary by time and region, and the available evidence does not establish a current comparable value ranking. Confirm the exact model and current local listing before buying.
Software support dates are not lifespan guarantees
Sennheiser’s support-period table, updated in 2026, lists active security-update support through 6 January 2029 for MOMENTUM True Wireless 4 and through 30 April 2029 for ACCENTUM True Wireless. Those dates describe the listed support period; they are not warranty commitments or promises about how long the hardware will physically last.
