Among the Samsung phones documented for India, Samsung claims the Galaxy S26 Ultra can reach up to 75% in around 30 minutes; the Galaxy S26 and S26+ claims are up to 55% and 69% in around 30 minutes, respectively. These are manufacturer figures, not a directly comparable independent test. The right charger depends on the exact phone: Samsung recommends 25W for the S26 and 45W for the S26+, while its 60W adapter listing identifies Super Fast Charging 3.0 compatibility for the S26 Ultra and later models.
Which Samsung phones have documented fast-charging claims in India?
Samsung’s published India-facing information supports the following model-specific comparison. The S26 and S26+ percentages come from Samsung Newsroom India’s 2026 announcement; the S26 Ultra figure is a Samsung India product claim.

These percentages should not be treated as a head-to-head ranking from one controlled test: Samsung gives different adapter pairings, and the S26 Ultra figure is published separately. Nor do they establish charging rates for every Samsung phone sold in India. Samsung’s India smartphone catalog changes over time, so check the exact model and India SKU before deciding.
Why a higher-wattage charger does not guarantee faster charging
Charging speed depends on the phone’s supported charging tier as well as the adapter, cable, temperature, and what the phone is doing. An adapter’s maximum output is not the phone’s charging rate: the device must support the relevant power delivery and charging protocol.

Samsung lists its 25W USB-C adapter, model EP-T2510NWNGIN, with PD 3.0 PPS and a maximum output of 25W. Its 60W USB-C adapter, model EP-T6010NBNGIN, lists PD 3.1 with PDO/PPS up to 60W. Those specifications describe the adapters; they do not mean every compatible-looking Galaxy phone accepts 25W or 60W. Check Samsung’s 25W adapter specifications or 60W adapter specifications alongside the phone’s own listing.
What charger and cable should you get?
- Galaxy S26: Samsung recommends its original 25W adapter for the stated charging claim.
- Galaxy S26+: Samsung recommends its original 45W adapter for the stated charging claim.
- Galaxy S26 Ultra: Samsung’s 60W adapter listing specifies SFC 3.0 compatibility for this model and later models; confirm the phone’s requirements and local adapter SKU before buying.
Samsung says the S26 and S26+ power adapter and data cable are sold separately. Cable requirements can vary by model: Samsung’s support guidance recommends a Type-C to Type-C 5A cable for Super Fast Charging in the relevant cases, while its S26 announcement recommends original cables for the stated adapter pairings. Verify the exact phone’s cable requirement rather than assuming any USB-C cable will deliver its maximum charging rate. Package contents can also vary by adapter model; check the product listing before ordering.

How to get the fastest charge in practice
- Confirm the exact Galaxy model’s supported wired charging tier in its India product specifications.
- Use a compatible adapter and cable rated for that phone’s charging mode. Samsung’s 25W adapter lists PD 3.0 PPS; its 60W adapter lists PD 3.1 and PDO/PPS.
- Check that fast charging is enabled. On many Galaxy devices, the option is under Settings > Battery, but the menu name and available settings vary by model and software version.
- Let the phone charge with its screen off and avoid demanding apps when practical. Samsung says heavy use during charging can reduce the rate.
- Charge at a moderate temperature. Samsung advises, “Charge at room temperature.” If the phone or surrounding air is hot, thermal safeguards may slow charging.
Fast-charge estimates are best understood as favorable-condition claims, not a promise that every session will reach the same percentage on the clock. Samsung specifically notes that heat and usage can affect speed.

If charging is your priority, compare the specific model’s supported tier and its documented claim with the accessories you are willing to use. The S26 Ultra has the highest stated 30-minute percentage among these three published figures, but Samsung’s figures are not a controlled comparison across models. The S26 and S26+ claims specify their recommended adapter wattages and internal-test setup; the Ultra claim should be checked against its live product-page footnote. Do not use battery capacity or a charger’s maximum wattage alone as a shortcut for charging speed.
