For most buyers who want a premium Samsung tablet that is still easy to carry, the Galaxy Tab S11 is the best starting point. Samsung lists an 11-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with up to a 120 Hz refresh rate, 12 GB RAM configurations, an included S Pen, and up to 18 hours of video playback. Choose the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra when a 14.6-inch workspace matters more than portability and its higher price and larger body are acceptable.
Lower-cost or LCD alternatives make more sense for different priorities: the 13.1-inch Galaxy Tab S10 FE+ for a large screen at a lower tier, the 10.9-inch S10 FE or S10 Lite for smaller pen-capable tablets, and the 11-inch A11+ for general-purpose use without S Pen support. The specifications and prices below are Samsung U.S. listings and manufacturer estimates, not independent performance or battery tests.
Samsung’s current Galaxy Tab lineup
Samsung’s U.S. comparison page currently lists nine tablets: Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra, S12+, S11 Ultra, S11, S10 Lite, A11+, S10+, S10 FE+ and S10 FE. Samsung’s broader tablet landing page organizes its main navigation around the S11, S10, S10 FE, S10 Lite and A11+ families. A model appearing in a comparison table does not prove that it has the same stock, discounts or retail availability as another model; check live listings before ordering.

Display size is not the same as display quality
The most visible difference across these tablets is the combination of diagonal size and panel technology. Dynamic AMOLED 2X models are Samsung’s premium display tier in this comparison; LCD models can be physically larger without offering the same panel type. For example, the 13.1-inch S10 FE+ is larger than the 11-inch S11, but it uses LCD while the S11 uses Dynamic AMOLED 2X.
| Tablet | Screen size | Panel | Listed maximum refresh rate |
|---|---|---|---|
| Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra | 14.6 inches | Dynamic AMOLED 2X | Not stated in the cited details |
| Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra | 14.6 inches | Dynamic AMOLED 2X | Up to 120 Hz |
| Galaxy Tab S12+ | 12.6 inches | Dynamic AMOLED 2X | Not stated in the cited details |
| Galaxy Tab S11 | 11 inches | Dynamic AMOLED 2X | Up to 120 Hz |
| Galaxy Tab S10 FE+ | 13.1 inches | LCD | Up to 90 Hz |
| Galaxy Tab S10 FE | 10.9 inches | LCD | Up to 90 Hz |
| Galaxy Tab S10 Lite | 10.9 inches | LCD | Up to 90 Hz |
| Galaxy Tab A11+ | 11 inches | LCD | Up to 90 Hz |
Refresh-rate figures are Samsung-listed capabilities. They do not establish that a particular app, game or multitasking workload will feel faster, because software, processor behavior and workload also affect responsiveness.
Which Galaxy Tab should you buy?
Galaxy Tab S11: the balanced premium choice
The S11 is the strongest default recommendation when you want a high-end screen without carrying an Ultra-sized tablet. Samsung lists an 11-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X panel, up to 120 Hz, 12 GB RAM configurations, an included S Pen and up to 18 hours of video playback. That combination suits note-taking, reading, streaming, drawing and general productivity while keeping the footprint closer to a conventional tablet than a large desktop replacement.
The Tool Desk
Outbyte PC Repair FREEClear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsFree Scan →Outbyte Driver Updater FREEScan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteDriver Scan →Choose it if you value portability and premium display quality more than maximum workspace. Its smaller canvas is less convenient for two full-size documents or a large desktop-style layout, but it is easier to hold and pack than the 14.6-inch Ultra models.
Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra: the large-screen productivity option
The S11 Ultra is the choice when screen area is the deciding factor. Samsung lists a 14.6-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display, up to 120 Hz, an included S Pen and up to 23 hours of video playback. The larger panel is better suited to split-screen documents, detailed creative work and presentations where a broad canvas matters.
The trade-off is physical size and cost. Do not choose the Ultra merely because it has a larger number in its name; choose it when you already know that an 11-inch tablet will feel cramped. A keyboard cover can make the large display more useful for desk work, but it also adds weight and cost.
Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra and S12+: premium models requiring a live check
Samsung’s comparison currently includes the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra and S12+. The S12 Ultra is listed with a 14.6-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display, while the S12+ is listed with a 12.6-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display. The comparison details used here do not establish their complete memory, accessory, refresh-rate or S Pen specifications, so confirm the exact configuration on Samsung’s product page before buying.
These models are sensible candidates if you specifically want the newest premium generation shown in Samsung’s comparison. Because model presence does not guarantee current stock or promotional pricing, compare live configurations with the S11 series rather than assuming the newer listing is automatically the better value.
Galaxy Tab S10 FE+: the large LCD alternative
The S10 FE+ gives you a 13.1-inch screen, included S Pen and up to 21 hours of manufacturer-estimated video playback. It is the model to consider when you want a broad workspace but do not require a Dynamic AMOLED 2X panel. Samsung lists an LCD panel and up to 90 Hz refresh rate, so its size should not be treated as equivalent to the AMOLED experience of the S11 Ultra.
It is a practical fit for streamed video, schoolwork, handwritten notes and split-screen use where area matters more than premium panel technology. Compare the exact processor, memory and storage configuration before ordering; the cited comparison establishes the screen, refresh-rate, pen and playback figures but not a universal performance ranking.
Galaxy Tab S10 FE: smaller LCD with an S Pen
The S10 FE combines a 10.9-inch LCD display, up to 90 Hz refresh rate, included S Pen and up to 21 hours of video playback according to Samsung’s comparison. It is a good shortlist choice when you want pen input and a more compact tablet than the FE+ without moving to the premium S11 display tier.

Choose it over the S10 Lite only after comparing the exact memory, processor, storage and connectivity configuration shown for the listings you are considering. The two tablets share a 10.9-inch LCD format and S Pen inclusion, but the comparison should be made on the configuration you can actually buy.
Galaxy Tab S10 Lite: compact pen-capable LCD tablet
The S10 Lite is another 10.9-inch LCD option with an included S Pen and up to 90 Hz refresh rate. It belongs on the shortlist for students, note-takers and casual creators who want a smaller pen-capable tablet and do not need the Dynamic AMOLED 2X display of the S11.
Samsung’s comparison details cited here do not provide enough information to declare the S10 Lite universally faster or slower than the S10 FE. Check memory, processor, storage, network support and current price for the exact SKU instead of relying on the family name.
Galaxy Tab A11+: general-purpose use without S Pen support
The A11+ is listed with an 11-inch LCD display, up to 90 Hz refresh rate and up to 15 hours of Samsung-estimated video playback. Samsung states that it is not compatible with the S Pen. That single limitation rules it out for buyers who specifically need Samsung’s pen workflow.
It remains a reasonable choice for browsing, video, reading, email and other general tablet tasks when an LCD screen and lower-tier feature set meet your needs. Do not buy it expecting to add an S Pen later; compatibility is a hardware and model decision, not an accessory omission.
Galaxy Tab S10+: verify the exact configuration
The Galaxy Tab S10+ appears in Samsung’s U.S. comparison list, and Samsung lists S Pen inclusion for the S10+ family in the comparison information. The cited details do not establish a complete screen, battery, memory or current-price specification for this model, so treat it as a model to verify rather than making a purchase decision from the family name alone.
S11 versus S11 Ultra: the decision most buyers face
| Consideration | Galaxy Tab S11 | Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra |
|---|---|---|
| Display | 11-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X | 14.6-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X |
| Refresh rate | Up to 120 Hz | Up to 120 Hz |
| S Pen | Included | Included |
| Samsung video-playback estimate | Up to 18 hours | Up to 23 hours |
| Listed 12 GB + 256 GB Wi-Fi MSRP | $899.99 | $1,199.99 |
The price figures in this table are Samsung Electronics America MSRPs from a price list effective May 1, 2026. Samsung says prices may change without notice, so they are reference points rather than guaranteed current retail prices. The Ultra costs more because it combines the larger 14.6-inch premium panel with the same listed 120 Hz class and pen support; whether that premium is worthwhile depends on how often you will use the extra workspace.
Battery figures: useful for comparison, not a promise of runtime
Samsung’s comparison gives video-playback estimates rather than independent all-day battery tests. The listed maximums are:

| Galaxy Tab S11 | Up to 18 hours | Manufacturer estimate; actual use varies |
| Galaxy Tab A11+ | Up to 15 hours | Manufacturer estimate; actual use varies |
Brightness, wireless radios, applications, video resolution, accessories and standby time can all change real battery life. Use these numbers to understand Samsung’s positioning within the lineup, not to predict the exact hours you will receive.
S Pen support and keyboard-cover compatibility
Samsung lists an included S Pen for the S11, S11 Ultra, S10 Lite, S10+, S10 FE+ and S10 FE. The A11+ is explicitly not S Pen compatible. The cited comparison information does not establish S Pen inclusion for every S12 configuration, so verify the exact product page if pen support is essential.
Cases and keyboards are model-specific. Samsung lists separate accessories, including the Galaxy Tab S11 Book Cover Keyboard Slim and Galaxy Tab S11 Book Cover, as well as distinct covers for the S10 FE, S10 FE+ and S11 Ultra. A cover that fits one generation or screen size should not be assumed to fit another.

A keyboard cover is useful for people who regularly type long documents or use a tablet at a desk. It is not a required purchase for readers, streamers or handwriting-focused users. Accessory prices and availability can change independently of tablet pricing.

Choose by priority rather than by series number
If you want the best portable premium experience
Start with the Galaxy Tab S11. Its 11-inch AMOLED panel, 120 Hz class, included S Pen and 12 GB configurations cover the broadest mix of premium entertainment, notes and everyday work without committing to an Ultra-sized device.
If you want the biggest premium canvas
Compare the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra and S12 Ultra. Both are listed with 14.6-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X displays. Check current pricing, stock, memory and included accessories for the exact generation before deciding.

If you want a premium screen but a less massive tablet
Consider the S12+ with its listed 12.6-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display. Confirm its pen and configuration details on the live listing because the cited comparison information does not establish every specification.
If you want a large screen at the LCD tier
Choose the S10 FE+. Its 13.1-inch LCD is larger than the S11’s 11-inch AMOLED, and Samsung lists S Pen inclusion and up to 21 hours of video playback. Select it only if LCD technology meets your expectations.
If you want a smaller LCD tablet with a pen
Compare the S10 FE and S10 Lite. Both are listed at 10.9 inches with LCD panels, up to 90 Hz refresh rates and included S Pens. Use the exact configuration, storage and current price to break the tie.
If you need a basic tablet and do not need a pen
The A11+ is the straightforward option among the listed models. It has an 11-inch LCD panel and up to 15 hours of manufacturer-estimated video playback, but no S Pen compatibility.
A practical buying checklist
- Set the display requirement first. Decide whether you need Dynamic AMOLED 2X or whether an LCD panel is sufficient. Then choose the physical size: 10.9, 11, 12.6, 13.1 or 14.6 inches.
- Decide whether pen input is essential. Select a model Samsung lists as including an S Pen, and exclude the A11+ if you need pen support.
- Choose portability versus workspace. An 11-inch tablet is easier to carry; a 14.6-inch model offers more room for documents and split-screen work but is physically larger.
- Check the exact configuration. Verify RAM, storage, Wi-Fi or cellular connectivity and the included items on the live product page. Names shared across a family do not guarantee identical configurations.
- Check the current price. Use the May 1, 2026 MSRP figures only as context. Confirm today’s Samsung or retailer price, stock, trade-in value and promotion.
- Add accessories only after confirming compatibility. Match the cover or keyboard-cover name to the exact tablet model and revision; do not assume that a similarly sized Galaxy Tab will fit.
- Interpret battery claims carefully. Treat “up to” video-playback figures as Samsung estimates, not guaranteed mixed-use runtime.
Bottom line
The Galaxy Tab S11 is the safest all-around recommendation for a premium, portable Samsung tablet. Move to the S11 Ultra when its 14.6-inch AMOLED workspace is the reason you are buying a tablet. Choose the S10 FE+ for a large LCD screen, the S10 FE or S10 Lite for smaller LCD tablets with an S Pen, and the A11+ for general use when pen input is unnecessary. For the S12 models and any purchase involving a keyboard cover, verify the live configuration and compatibility before paying.
