As of October 13, 2026, Samsung’s US catalog is organized into three current Galaxy families: the Galaxy S26 flagship phones (S26, S26+, and S26 Ultra), the Galaxy Z foldables (the Z Fold8 family and Z Flip8), and the Galaxy A57 5G and A37 5G midrange models. The right choice depends on your budget, preferred shape, storage needs, camera priorities, and how long you intend to keep the phone—not simply on which model has the highest number.
This guide uses Samsung’s US announcements and catalog as the reference point. Availability, prices, promotions, carrier versions, and even which configurations are shown can change, so confirm the live listing for your country before paying.
Samsung’s latest US phones at a glance
Samsung announced the Galaxy S26, S26+, and S26 Ultra on February 25, 2026; general availability began March 11, 2026. On August 5, 2026, it announced the Galaxy Z Fold8, Z Fold8 Ultra, and Z Flip8. The US catalog currently presents the Z Fold8 family and Z Flip8, while the A-series page presents the Galaxy A57 5G and A37 5G.

The launch announcement described the S26 line as delivering “the most intuitive, proactive, and adaptive Galaxy AI experiences yet.” That is Samsung’s positioning, not an independent performance assessment.

- 【Strong Adsorption】The inspiration of the silicone phone suction case comes from the adhesive force of the octopus. Each suction cup phone mount is 3.15 inches long and 2.17 inches wide, with 24 independent suction cups providing a stronger and more stable suction force, so you don't have to worry about your phone falling during use.
- 【Back of Phone Suction Grip】Remove the adhesive film on the phone suction cup and stick it on the phone case. You can then fix the phone on any smooth surface, which is very convenient. (The phone suction cup cannot be removed and reused after being attached to the phone case. It is recommended to attach it to a regular phone case, not a valuable one.)
- 【Widely Used】Our non-slip silicone phone sticky grip mount attaches to almost any flat phone case and make it compatible with common mobile phones such as iPhone and Android. You can shoot, watch videos or video calls in the kitchen, gym, dance studio, bathroom and other places.
- 【Capture the Wonderful Picture】Whether you are a TikTok creator or just like to share videos and photos, this phone suction cup can help you hands-free capture wonderful videos and photos for sharing with friends.
- 【Note】You can fix the phone suction cup on a smooth surface such as a mirror or glass. If necessary, wipe the suction cup with a damp cloth to obtain stronger suction. Before releasing your hand, make sure the phone is firmly fixed. (Not applicable to rough walls, wooden surfaces, and other uneven surfaces)
What “latest Samsung phone” means in this guide
“Latest” is both time- and location-sensitive. This is a US-focused snapshot checked October 13, 2026, not a worldwide inventory. Samsung can show different colors, memory tiers, trade-in credits, or carrier editions in another country. A model announced globally may also appear later—or not at all—in a particular market.
Use the announcement dates to understand a generation’s timing, but use Samsung’s live product pages and your carrier’s compatibility checker for a purchase decision. The launch prices below are historical US starting prices from the February 2026 announcement. They are not promises about today’s checkout price, a financed monthly amount, a trade-in value, or a promotional bundle.
Galaxy S26, S26+, and S26 Ultra: the flagship family
The S26 range is Samsung’s conventional flagship line: three slab-style phones with the same generation name but different size, configuration, and price positions. Samsung’s published launch material confirms the storage tiers and starting prices, but it does not establish an independent ranking of processing speed, camera quality, battery life, or display quality. Treat those as model-specific specifications to verify on the live page rather than assumptions based on the word “Ultra.”
| Model | US launch starting price | Launch storage options | Best fit to investigate |
|---|---|---|---|
| Galaxy S26 | $899.99 | 256GB, 512GB | People who want the S26 generation at the lowest launch price and prefer a conventional phone. |
| Galaxy S26+ | $1,099.99 | 256GB, 512GB | People willing to pay more for the Plus configuration; compare its exact size, display, battery, and charging specifications before deciding. |
| Galaxy S26 Ultra | $1,299.99 | 256GB, 512GB, 1TB | People who need the top storage tier or the Ultra-specific hardware and are comfortable with the highest launch price. |
Those figures came from Samsung Electronics’ February 25, 2026 announcement. Samsung’s live catalog displayed different starting prices or promotions when checked, so refresh the listing immediately before publication or purchase.

- SUPERIOR COMFORT — Unlike traditional circular ear buds, the design of EarPods is defined by the geometry of the ear. Which makes them more comfortable for more people than any other ear bud–style headphones.
- HIGH-QUALITY AUDIO — The speakers inside EarPods have been engineered to maximize sound output and minimize sound loss, which means you get high-quality audio.
- BUILT-IN REMOTE — EarPods with USB-C plug also include a built-in remote that lets you adjust the volume, control the playback of music and video, and answer or end calls with a pinch of the cord.
- COMPATIBILITY — Works with all devices that have a USB-C port.
- INTEGRATED MICROPHONE — A built-in microphone precisely captures your voice while you’re on the phone, taking a FaceTime call, or summoning Siri — so you’re always heard loud and clear.
Galaxy S26: the entry point to the S26 generation
The standard S26 has the lowest announced starting price in the family and offers both 256GB and 512GB storage. Choose it when your priorities are access to the newest S-series generation and a conventional phone, and when the live specification sheet confirms that its dimensions, camera system, battery, and charging meet your requirements. Do not assume that the least expensive model has identical hardware to the Ultra.
Galaxy S26+: pay for the configuration, not the name
The S26+ starts $200 above the S26 at launch and keeps the same two announced storage capacities. The useful question is whether the Plus model’s specific screen, body size, battery, charging, or other hardware differences matter to you. Samsung’s cited launch information does not quantify those differences, so compare the current technical tables side by side before paying the premium.
Galaxy S26 Ultra: maximum storage and highest launch tier
The Ultra starts at $1,299.99 and is the only S26 model in the announcement with a 1TB option. That can be valuable if you keep large photo or video libraries locally or want more headroom for apps, but storage alone does not prove that it is the best camera or performance choice. Confirm the exact camera, display, processor, battery, charging, dimensions, and included accessories on Samsung’s current US page.

- 256GB: the lowest announced capacity for all three S26 models. It is the price-conscious starting point; estimate your existing photo, video, game, and offline-download usage first.
- 512GB: available for S26, S26+, and S26 Ultra. It costs more at checkout, but upgrading later may not be possible if the phone has no expandable-storage option.
- 1TB: announced only for S26 Ultra. Select it for a demonstrated need for local capacity, not simply because it is the largest number.
Galaxy Z Fold8 family: when an opening screen is the priority
Samsung announced the Z Fold8, Z Fold8 Ultra, and Z Flip8 on August 5, 2026. Its US catalog currently lists the Z Fold8 family. A Fold-style device opens like a small book, giving you a phone configuration when closed and a larger, tablet-like work area when open. That shape can make reading, split-screen multitasking, document review, or video viewing more comfortable, but it also changes the buying checklist.

- Black PopSockets: Simple, refined, and endlessly versatile. A timeless essential for any phone.
- Travel Must-Have for People On the Go: A must-have travel accessory for flights, flying, airports, air travel, airplanes, planes, international trips, cruises, and long travel days. Key gadget for your airport haul, travel accessories and must-haves.
Questions to answer before buying a Fold8
- Closed dimensions: will it fit your pocket, case, car mount, and one-handed grip when folded?
- Weight and hinge feel: are you comfortable carrying and opening a larger device every day?
- Durability and repairs: ask Samsung or your carrier about warranty coverage, hinge or screen service, accidental-damage plans, and repair pricing for your exact market. Do not rely on a generic foldable durability claim.
- Price: the cited catalog and announcement do not provide a fixed US price in this snapshot. Check the live listing rather than extrapolating from the S26 range.
- Software behavior: test the apps you use most in both folded and open orientations; a larger panel is useful only if your workflow supports it.
The announcement also names a Z Fold8 Ultra. Because product pages and regional availability can change, verify whether that configuration is actually orderable in the US, its storage options, and its price before treating it as a current choice.
Galaxy Z Flip8: compact when closed
The Z Flip8 uses a clamshell design: it folds vertically into a smaller package and opens into a regular phone shape. Its appeal is compact storage in a pocket or small bag and the ability to interact with the outside screen for supported tasks without fully opening the phone.
The cited US materials establish the model and announcement date, but not a universal price, battery figure, camera ranking, or storage configuration. Compare those details with the S26 models you are considering. Also check whether your case, screen-protection plan, and preferred car mount support the folded design. A compact folded shape is a form-factor benefit; it is not evidence by itself of better endurance, cameras, or durability.

Read that statement as a page-level policy, not an unconditional promise for every country, carrier edition, or future model. Before ordering, open the exact model’s support terms and note the start date used for the update period. Confirm storage, screen, camera, processor, charging, 5G bands, water resistance, and included charger for the SKU sold by your retailer; those values can differ by market and are not established by the summary information here.
When an A-series phone is the sensible choice
- You want to reduce the upfront price and do not need the distinctive hardware of a flagship or foldable.
- You value a stated long software-support window, subject to the model-specific terms.
- You are comfortable checking the exact regional configuration instead of assuming that an overseas specification applies to a US phone.
Compare the families by the decision that matters to you
| Priority | Models to start with | What is known | What you must verify |
|---|---|---|---|
| Lowest S-series launch price | Galaxy S26 | $899.99 starting price at the February 2026 US launch; 256GB or 512GB. | Current sale price, trade-in requirements, carrier lock, dimensions, battery, camera, and charging. |
| More S-series configuration headroom | Galaxy S26+ or S26 Ultra | S26+ launched at $1,099.99 with 256GB/512GB; Ultra at $1,299.99 with 256GB/512GB/1TB. | Whether the Plus or Ultra hardware justifies the extra cost for your use. |
| Large working area | Galaxy Z Fold8 family | Book-style foldable family announced August 5, 2026. | US availability, price, folded weight, open-screen dimensions, repair coverage, and app behavior. |
| Small folded footprint | Galaxy Z Flip8 | Clamshell foldable announced August 5, 2026. | Price, battery, cameras, storage, hinge and screen coverage, and case compatibility. |
| Long stated update policy at a lower tier | Galaxy A57 5G or A37 5G | US A-series page states six years of security and software updates for the devices shown. | Exact model terms, update start date, storage, network bands, and current price. |
| Local storage for large files | S26 Ultra, then S26/S26+ | Ultra is the only announced S26 model with a 1TB option; all three offer 256GB and 512GB. | Whether your selected regional SKU actually includes that capacity and whether it is in stock. |
A practical step-by-step buying process
- Set a total budget. Include sales tax, a case, screen protection, a charger if needed, insurance, and the cost of your cellular plan. Use the launch prices only as historical reference points; write down the current checkout total.
- Choose the physical format. Select a conventional S26 or A-series phone if you want a familiar rigid body. Investigate Fold8 if an opening work surface is central to your routine. Investigate Flip8 if a compact folded shape is the main benefit.
- Define your storage requirement. Check your present phone’s used storage in Settings and add room for the years you plan to keep the device. The S26 announcement lists 256GB and 512GB across the range, plus 1TB for Ultra.
- List non-negotiable hardware. Write down the minimum camera lenses, display size, battery capacity or endurance expectation, charging method, biometric features, and water-resistance rating you require. Compare the exact Samsung specification pages; do not infer them from family names.
- Check support terms. For A57 5G and A37 5G, locate the model-specific wording behind the six-year statement. For every phone, record the security-update policy, warranty length, and the country or carrier that supplied the device.
- Verify network compatibility. Enter the exact model number—not just “Galaxy S26”—into your carrier’s compatibility tool. Confirm 5G and LTE bands, eSIM or physical-SIM support, Wi-Fi calling, and whether the phone is unlocked.
- Compare offers on equal terms. A lower advertised price may require a trade-in, a new line, a particular plan, or installment billing. Calculate the total paid over the full term and note when promotional credits end.
- Check returns and repairs. Read the return window, restocking rules, warranty exclusions, accidental-damage coverage, and local repair options before opening the box. Foldables deserve particular attention to hinge and inner-screen service terms.
- Choose storage and accessories together. Confirm that a case, screen protector, wireless charger, car mount, and cable support the exact model and regional variant. Accessory compatibility is not guaranteed across S26, Fold8, and Flip8 generations.
- Save your documentation. Keep the invoice, model number, IMEI, warranty terms, and promotion conditions. These records simplify a return, insurance claim, or support request later.
Price, stock, and promotion pitfalls
Launch price is not today’s price
The S26 launch figures were $899.99 for S26, $1,099.99 for S26+, and $1,299.99 for S26 Ultra. Samsung’s live catalog showed different displayed starting prices or promotions when accessed, so a current offer can be higher or lower. Treat every price as conditional until you see the final cart, including taxes and required plan terms.
Catalog availability can change
A phone can be announced but absent from a particular country’s store, shown only through a carrier, or temporarily out of stock in a particular capacity. The US catalog currently lists the Z Fold8 family and Z Flip8, but you should confirm that the exact storage and color you want can be ordered now.
Company-reported demand is not a buying test
Samsung reported that Z-series preorders were more than 30% higher than those for the previous generation. That is a company-reported comparison, not independent market research and not evidence that a foldable suits your needs. Use your own requirements and the return policy as the decision test.

How to avoid a mismatched model
- Do not buy by number alone: an S26, Fold8, Flip8, A57 5G, and A37 5G target different budgets and shapes.
- Do not assume “Ultra” proves every advantage: verify the specific camera, screen, battery, processor, and charging claims on the current page.
- Do not promise six years universally: the A-series statement applies to the devices shown on Samsung’s US page; market and model terms can differ.
- Do not compare an unlocked price with a carrier promotion without doing the math: include plan obligations, trade-in condition, and the full installment period.
- Do not skip the model number: regional variants can have different bands, storage, SIM arrangements, and accessories.
A short decision framework
Choose Galaxy S26 when
You want the newest announced conventional flagship generation and the lowest S26 launch tier, and the live specification sheet meets your size, camera, battery, and network requirements.
Choose Galaxy S26+ when
You prefer the Plus configuration and are willing to pay more than the S26 after confirming that its particular hardware differences matter in your daily use.
Choose Galaxy S26 Ultra when
You need the family’s announced 1TB option or the Ultra-specific hardware enough to justify the highest launch tier, and the current price fits your budget.
Recommended Free Tools
Choose Galaxy Z Fold8 when
A book-style opening screen will materially improve reading, multitasking, documents, or media, and you accept the extra checks around folded size, weight, repair, and price.
Choose Galaxy Z Flip8 when
A compact folded footprint and clamshell interaction are more important to you than simply buying a conventional phone, and the exact battery, camera, storage, and service terms check out.
Choose Galaxy A57 5G or A37 5G when
You want a lower-cost Galaxy option and the model-specific specifications satisfy your needs, with the stated six-year support policy confirmed for your exact device and market.
Bottom line
For the US market in October 2026, the newest Samsung choices span three distinct families rather than one universal winner. The Galaxy S26, S26+, and S26 Ultra are the latest conventional flagships; the Z Fold8 family and Z Flip8 are the latest announced foldables listed in Samsung’s US catalog; and the A57 5G and A37 5G are the current A-series models highlighted there. Start with shape and budget, then verify storage, hardware, support, carrier compatibility, and the live total price for your exact model before ordering.
