The realme P4 Pro is the stronger fit if you want a sharper display, more capable listed camera hardware and 80W charging; the P4x keeps the same stated battery capacity and 144Hz refresh rate, but has lower display resolution, simpler cameras and 45W charging. The P4 Pro is also listed as lighter and thinner. Which makes better sense depends on the live price for the same storage configuration.

How the displays differ
Both phones list a refresh rate of up to 144Hz, but that is not the whole display comparison. The Pro’s 6.8-inch screen has a stated 1280 × 2800 resolution and 10-bit color, while the P4x lists a 6.72-inch, 1080 × 2400 LCD with 8-bit color. On specifications, the Pro offers higher resolution and color depth; the P4x still matches the listed maximum refresh rate. These figures alone do not establish brightness, outdoor legibility or real-world image quality.

Performance: what the chip names can and cannot tell you
realme lists a Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 in the P4 Pro and a Dimensity 7400 Ultra 5G in the P4x. Those chipset names identify different platforms, but the specification pages do not establish which phone is faster across gaming, everyday use or sustained workloads. Look for independent tests of the exact phone and configuration if performance is decisive; do not treat manufacturer specifications as benchmark results.
Camera hardware and video modes
The P4 Pro’s listed rear setup pairs a 50MP Sony IMX896 main camera with optical image stabilisation (OIS) and an 8MP ultra-wide camera. The P4x lists a 50MP wide camera and a 2MP monochrome camera. The Pro also lists a 50MP selfie camera against the P4x’s 8MP front camera, and supports up to 4K 60fps recording on both front and rear cameras; the P4x lists rear recording up to 4K 30fps and front recording up to 1080p 30fps.
This is a hardware and recording-mode advantage on paper, not proof that every photo or video will look better. Sensor processing, stabilization in practice, lighting and software all affect image quality; the official specifications do not provide comparable sample testing.

Battery capacity and charging
Both India specification pages give each phone a 7000mAh typical battery capacity and 6830mAh rated capacity. The charging ratings differ: 80W for the Pro and 45W for the P4x. Capacity figures do not establish actual battery life, and wattage ratings do not establish a particular charge time; usage, charger conditions and other factors matter.
Size and handling
realme lists the P4 Pro at approximately 189g and 7.68mm thick, compared with approximately 208g and 8.39mm for the P4x. The listed difference makes the Pro the lighter, thinner option, although real-world measurements can vary.
What is the price difference?
A 91mobiles comparison snapshot surfaced prices of ₹28,999 for the P4 Pro and ₹21,939 for the P4x. Subtracting those displayed figures gives a ₹7,060 gap, with the P4 Pro higher. The snapshot does not establish that the listings were current, in stock, or for matching RAM and storage variants, so treat it as an indication rather than a live like-for-like quote. Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Which phone should you choose?
Choose the P4 Pro if its live premium fits your budget
- You want the higher stated display resolution and 10-bit color.
- You value the listed OIS-equipped main camera, ultra-wide camera and higher-resolution front camera.
- You want the listed 4K 60fps front and rear recording modes or 80W charging.
- You prefer the lighter, thinner phone according to realme’s listed measurements.
Consider the P4x if the lower live price matters more
- You want a 144Hz display and the same listed battery capacities without paying for the Pro’s stated display and camera upgrades.
- The P4x’s live price is meaningfully lower for the same storage configuration, and its 45W charging and camera specifications meet your needs.
These recommendations follow the published specifications and the cited price snapshot; they are not based on hands-on testing. No update-support duration is established by the cited pages, so do not assume one model receives longer software support from the UI or Android version listing alone.
Check these details before buying in India
- Match RAM and storage on both listings; a price comparison across different capacities can mislead.
- Check current price, stock, seller and return terms on the date you plan to buy.
- If gaming or demanding apps are important, consult independent tests for the exact models rather than inferring performance from chipset names.
- Confirm that the phone’s regional network bands and the seller’s terms suit your carrier and location.
- Do not infer a software-update commitment from the Android or realme UI version alone; the cited specification pages do not establish a duration.
realme’s P4x announcement, dated November 26, 2025, said the phone was set to debut on December 4, 2025. That announcement date is historical context, not evidence of current stock or pricing.
