There is no evidence here to identify five settings someone personally changed or to verify that they made every sound better. Pixel audio controls instead address different situations: the built-in speaker, calls, headphone playback, or hearing a conversation in noise. Choose only the setting that matches how you listen.
Choose a setting for the way you listen

These features have distinct purposes, not a shared “better sound” setting. Google’s support pages describe how they work and which devices they support; they do not establish that enabling them improves every kind of audio. Check your Pixel model and Android version because availability and menus vary.
For the phone speaker: Adaptive Sound
Adaptive Sound adjusts a supported Pixel’s built-in speaker output to suit its surroundings. Google says it does not change the volume. It does not tune audio playing through headphones or external speakers.
To find it, open Settings > Sound & vibration > Adaptive Sound. Google lists support from Pixel 4a (5G) through Pixel 10, including Fold models, and requires up-to-date Android software and the latest Android System Intelligence app. See Google’s Adaptive Sound instructions and compatibility details.

For calls: Clear Calling
Clear Calling filters background noise during supported calls so the person on the other end can hear more clearly. Turn it on at Settings > Sound & vibration > Clear Calling > Use Clear Calling. You can also switch it on during a call from the volume panel.
Support depends on both the Pixel and the calling app: Google documents Pixel Phone app support on Pixel 7 and later, and VoIP app support on Pixel 10 and later, excluding Pixel 10a. Some third-party Wi-Fi calling support is documented for Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro. Call bandwidth also affects availability, so the control may not work for every call.

Google says Clear Calling processes audio on the phone and does not send call audio to Google. Check Google’s Clear Calling overview and device and setup guidance for current details.
For compatible playback: Spatial Audio
Spatial Audio is not a universal speaker-enhancement toggle. Google provides setup instructions for wired headphones and compatible wireless accessories. Built-in speaker Spatial Audio is limited to selected devices, including Pixel Fold, Pixel 9 Pro Fold, Pixel 10 variants, and Pixel Tablet.

Head-tracked Spatial Audio with Pixel Buds Pro requires current earbud firmware and a supported Pixel model. Google recommends content marked Dolby audio or 5.1 for head-tracked playback. Check Google’s Spatial Audio setup and compatibility information before looking for the control; support depends on the phone and playback route.

Sound Amplifier is an accessibility and listening-support feature, not a general music-quality upgrade. With wired or Bluetooth headphones, it can adjust noise reduction, boost quiet sounds, and change frequency balance. What to check if a setting is missing
- Confirm your exact Pixel model and Android version against Google’s compatibility information for the feature.
- For Adaptive Sound, verify that Android and Android System Intelligence are up to date, and test using the phone speaker rather than headphones or an external speaker.
- For Clear Calling, check whether the current call uses a supported app and has sufficient bandwidth; availability can differ between calls.
- For Spatial Audio, confirm that both the Pixel and the playback route are supported. Headphone and built-in speaker support are not interchangeable.
- For Sound Amplifier, use headphones and allow for possible Bluetooth delay; Conversation mode is intended to focus on a nearby conversation partner.
