At the India launch prices reported on 8 April 2026, the POCO X8 Pro cost ₹6,000 less than the OnePlus Nord 6 in the 8GB/256GB configuration. The Nord 6 offers a larger screen and battery on paper; the POCO is more compact and advertises higher-wattage charging plus wired reverse charging. Neither chipset name nor the available claimed benchmark scores establishes which phone delivers better sustained gaming performance.
How the India launch prices compare
91mobiles reported the following India launch prices on 8 April 2026. They are historical launch figures, not live prices, and should not be treated as prices for other markets.

Which phone is better for gaming performance?
The reported chipsets are Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 in the Nord 6 and MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Ultra in the X8 Pro. The comparison also attributes AnTuTu scores of more than 2.5 million to OnePlus and more than 2 million to POCO, but these are company-attributed claims rather than independently verified, controlled results. They do not establish a reliable real-world performance ranking.

No controlled head-to-head gaming test is established here. For demanding games, look for independent testing of sustained frame rates, device temperatures and frame stability in the specific games you play. Peak or synthetic scores alone cannot show whether one phone keeps performance up during a longer session.
Screen size and refresh rate
The reported Nord 6 display is a 6.78-inch 1.5K AMOLED panel with a maximum refresh rate of 165Hz. The POCO X8 Pro has a 6.59-inch 1.5K AMOLED display rated up to 120Hz; Xiaomi’s official product page confirms the POCO panel specifications. The Nord is the larger-screen choice, while the POCO is the smaller option. A higher maximum refresh rate may matter in supported apps or games, but does not mean every app will run at that rate.

Xiaomi lists a 3,500-nit peak brightness figure for the POCO over 25% of the display area, based on POCO Internal Labs testing. That is a limited-area peak measurement, not a promise of 3,500 nits across the whole screen in ordinary use.

The Nord 6 battery is reported as 9,000mAh; the POCO X8 Pro is listed by Xiaomi at 6,500mAh typical capacity. The larger listed capacity favors the Nord on paper, but capacity alone does not establish comparative runtime. In Android Central’s individual Nord 6 review, the reviewer reported two days of heavy use and a full charge in just over 70 minutes; those observations describe that reviewer’s experience and conditions, not a guaranteed result for every owner.

Charging specifications favor the POCO in advertised wattage: Xiaomi lists 100W HyperCharge and up to 27W wired reverse charging, while the Nord is reported at 80W SUPERVOOC. What the camera specifications do—and do not—tell you
Both phones are reported to have a 50MP main rear camera and an 8MP ultra-wide camera. The Nord 6’s front camera is reported at 32MP; Xiaomi’s UAE specification page lists a 20MP front camera for the POCO X8 Pro and identifies its main sensor as a 50MP Sony IMX882. The Nord’s higher listed selfie resolution does not, by itself, prove better selfies: megapixel counts do not substitute for image samples or direct camera testing.

Software support and buying longevity
91mobiles reports four major Android OS upgrades and six years of security updates for each phone. Treat those durations as reported commitments, not a guarantee for every regional variant: check the support terms that apply to the exact model and market you intend to buy. The readable official OnePlus specifications were not available in the cited material, so the Nord support figures are not independently confirmed here.
Choose based on your priorities
- Choose the Nord 6 if you value its reported larger 6.78-inch screen, higher maximum refresh rate or 9,000mAh listed battery enough to accept the higher price when compared at the reported India launch prices.
- Choose the POCO X8 Pro if a smaller 6.59-inch display, lower reported India launch price, higher advertised charging wattage or wired reverse charging matters more.
- If gaming is your deciding factor, wait for a credible direct comparison of sustained frame rates and temperatures in the games you play; the chipset labels and claimed synthetic scores do not settle that choice.
