The OnePlus 13 is the stronger paper choice for a larger, sharper screen, higher-tier listed processor, more memory and storage options, and higher rated charging speeds. The Samsung Galaxy S26 FE offers a 3× optical telephoto camera, a lower published US starting price, and a clear seven-generation OS and seven-year security update commitment. Those specifications do not establish which phone lasts longer, takes better photos, or performs better in everyday use.

Figures are from the manufacturers’ North America/US materials and may not describe every market configuration. The comparison is based on published specifications, not hands-on testing or benchmark results.
Which phone has the better display?
On paper, the OnePlus 13 has the larger, higher-resolution panel: 6.82 inches at 3168 × 1440, with a dynamic 1–120Hz refresh rate. The S26 FE lists a 6.7-inch FHD+ display with 60Hz or 120Hz operation. That gives OnePlus the clear advantage in screen size and pixel resolution by specification; it does not, by itself, establish which screen looks better in person.
How do their processors and memory compare?
OnePlus lists Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite and configurations with 12GB or 16GB of RAM, paired with 256GB or 512GB storage. Samsung lists the Exynos 2500, 8GB RAM, and 128GB or 256GB storage for the S26 FE. These are hardware and configuration differences, not measured speed results. The published information here does not establish a real-world performance winner.

If you keep many large games, videos, or offline files on your phone, compare the exact storage tier available in your region before buying. Samsung notes that storage availability may vary by carrier or region.
Do the cameras make one a better choice?
The rear-camera layouts share a 50MP main camera but differ in the other modules. OnePlus describes three 50MP rear cameras, including an ultra-wide and a 3× triprism telephoto. Samsung lists a 12MP ultra-wide and an 8MP telephoto with 3× optical zoom alongside its 50MP main camera. Samsung also lists optical image stabilization on the main and telephoto cameras.
Both phones therefore offer a dedicated 3× telephoto camera in their published specifications. Megapixel counts and lens descriptions do not reveal which phone produces better photos or video; the available manufacturer materials are not a controlled camera comparison.

Battery capacity and charging: what the numbers tell you
OnePlus lists a typical 6,000mAh dual-cell battery, compared with Samsung’s typical 4,900mAh battery. Capacity is not a runtime test: it cannot establish which device lasts longer under the same workload.
For charging, OnePlus rates the 13 for 80W wired SUPERVOOC and 50W wireless AIRVOOC. Samsung rates the S26 FE for up to 45W wired and 15W wireless charging, and says the 45W adapter is sold separately. Rated charging power does not guarantee a particular top-up time; actual charging depends on the compatible equipment and conditions.

Software support and durability details
Samsung’s US announcement lists Android 17 with One UI 9 and commits to seven generations of OS upgrades and seven years of security updates from global launch. Samsung cautions that update timing may vary by model and provider. The cited OnePlus specification page lists OxygenOS 15 based on Android 15 but does not state an update-support duration, so these materials do not support a direct longevity comparison.
Samsung lists IP68 water resistance for the S26 FE. The cited OnePlus materials do not provide an equivalent rating in the comparison details above, so that is not evidence that the OnePlus 13 lacks water resistance; check the specification for the precise regional model if this is a deciding factor.
US price and availability
Samsung announced US launch pricing starting at $699.99 on August 27, 2026. It said select carriers would begin offering the S26 FE on September 3, with Samsung.com, carriers, and retailers nationwide starting September 4. Samsung’s US store listing, accessed October 7, 2026, displayed $699.99 for 128GB and $799.99 for 256GB; the live listing may change. Check Samsung’s US store listing.
The OnePlus materials cited here do not establish a current retail price. As a result, they do not support a current price difference between the phones. For a fair comparison, check both at the same time and in the same market, matching storage, unlocked or carrier status, and discount basis. Samsung’s prices above are US figures, not a worldwide price guide.
Which phone should you choose?
Choose the OnePlus 13 if
- You prioritize the larger, higher-resolution display and its dynamic 1–120Hz refresh specification.
- You want the listed Snapdragon 8 Elite configuration or more RAM and storage choices.
- You value higher manufacturer-rated wired and wireless charging power.
Choose the Galaxy S26 FE if
- You want Samsung’s stated seven-generation OS and seven-year security update commitment.
- You prefer the Galaxy’s listed 3× optical telephoto camera and IP68 rating.
- You are shopping in the US and the S26 FE’s published price for your preferred storage tier fits your budget.
Neither list settles camera quality, battery endurance, thermal behavior, or comparative performance in actual use. Treat those as unanswered by the specifications rather than assuming a winner from component counts alone.
