The Xiaomi Redmi Note 17 Pro 5G offers a larger, higher-resolution display and substantially larger listed battery capacities, but the battery figure differs by region. These are manufacturer-listed specifications, not independent measurements. In particular, display figures do not establish which screen looks better in person, and battery capacity does not establish runtime or charging time.
Which display is better suited to you?
The Redmi Note 17 Pro 5G has the larger listed screen at 6.83 inches and the higher listed resolution at 1.5K. The Galaxy S25 FE lists a 6.7-inch FHD+ panel. Both manufacturers specify refresh rates up to 120Hz, so both list support for high-refresh-rate scrolling and motion.

Those specifications make Xiaomi the stronger choice if screen size and resolution are your priorities. They do not settle real-world brightness, color accuracy, outdoor visibility or overall image quality; the cited specifications do not provide comparable test results for those qualities.

How do the camera systems differ?
Samsung specifies three rear cameras: a 50MP main camera with optical image stabilization (OIS), a 12MP ultrawide and an 8MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom. That dedicated telephoto lens gives the S25 FE a documented camera option the cited Xiaomi Global specifications do not list.
Xiaomi lists a 50MP OIS main camera and an 8MP ultrawide. Its cited global specifications do not list a telephoto camera. If you often photograph distant subjects and want an optical zoom lens, Samsung has the clearer specification advantage. Megapixel counts alone do not show which phone takes better photos, and the available specifications do not establish comparative image quality in different lighting or camera modes.

What do the battery and charging figures actually mean?
Samsung lists a 4,900mAh battery, 45W wired charging and 15W wireless charging. Xiaomi lists 67W wired charging and gives different battery capacities for different regions: 8,340mAh typical on its global page and 9,000mAh typical on its India page. Treat those as market-specific figures, not interchangeable specifications for every Redmi Note 17 Pro 5G.
The Xiaomi-listed capacities are larger, and its listed wired charging rate is higher. These figures do not by themselves show how long either phone lasts, how quickly it charges in practice or whether a charger is included in a particular regional package. No comparable battery-endurance or charging-time result is established here. If wireless charging matters to you, Samsung is the only model for which the cited specifications state a wireless charging rate.
Which processor is faster?
Samsung names the Exynos 2400; Xiaomi names the Snapdragon 6s Gen 4. Those model names are not a like-for-like performance test. The cited manufacturer specifications do not establish comparative benchmark results, gaming performance or sustained performance, so it would be unwarranted to declare either phone faster from this evidence alone.
If processor speed is a deciding factor, look for independent tests that compare the exact regional versions of both phones under similar conditions. Also check the storage and memory configuration being sold in your country: the cited specifications do not establish a matched configuration to compare.

How should you compare prices and availability?
Samsung announced a US starting price of $649.99 for the Galaxy S25 FE when it launched in 2025. Samsung said availability began on September 4, 2025, in select markets. That launch announcement is historical, not a current retail quote. The cited Xiaomi specifications do not establish a price that can be matched against it, and there is no like-for-like current price comparison here.

- Exact regional model: Confirm the model and configuration offered in your country, especially the Redmi battery capacity, which differs between Xiaomi’s global and India pages.
- Carrier compatibility: Check the specific model’s supported cellular bands against your carrier’s requirements. Manufacturer pages flag regional connectivity differences, so a model name alone is not enough to confirm compatibility.
- Like-for-like price: Compare current offers for the same storage tier and comparable warranty, unlocked status and seller type. Do not treat Samsung’s announced US launch price as today’s market price.
- Your priorities: Favor Samsung on documented camera-lens range and wireless charging; favor Xiaomi on listed display size, resolution and battery capacity, while confirming the local configuration.
Verdict: choose by the feature you value most
On the specifications cited, the Galaxy S25 FE is the more camera-flexible option because it includes a 3x optical telephoto lens, and it is the only one of the two with a stated wireless charging rate. The Redmi Note 17 Pro 5G lists a larger, higher-resolution display and much larger battery capacities, but the battery figure depends on region. There is not enough evidence here to name a winner for current price, photo quality, battery life or processor speed; those depend on current local offers, exact models and independent testing.
