Short answer: No OnePlus 16 case can currently be verified as compatible with magnetic accessories from the available model-specific evidence. One third-party listing claims a built-in magnetic core and support for the OPPO Mag ecosystem, but its compatibility field says “OnePlus 7T Pro.” Treat that listing as unconfirmed, and get the exact phone model and accessory support in writing before you buy.
What is actually confirmed
The available evidence separates confirmed information about other OnePlus models from unverified claims about the OnePlus 16. This is the practical status of each source:
| Source | What it establishes | What it does not establish |
|---|---|---|
| OnePlus OxygenOS 16 page | Lists supported devices and says the list is not exhaustive. | It does not identify a OnePlus 16 magnetic case or name compatible magnetic accessories. |
| OnePlus UK case catalog | Shows a OnePlus 15R Sandstone Magnetic Case and a OnePlus 15 Hole-Pattern Magnetic Case. | The catalog result does not show a OnePlus 16 case. |
| OnePlus 15R case page | Says the 15R case has an integrated magnetic ring compatible with magnetic power banks, mounts and other magnetic accessories. | That statement applies to the 15R only; it is not evidence for the OnePlus 16. |
| OnePlus Slim Magnetic Power Bank 5000mAh User Guide & Safety Info | Directs users to use the official magnetic protective case and specifies up to 10 W wireless output. | It does not name the OnePlus 16 as a compatible phone or case. |
| Third-party OnePlus 16 listing | Claims a built-in magnetic core and support for the OPPO Mag ecosystem, including magnetic wireless charging, mounts and stands. | Its compatibility field says “OnePlus 7T Pro,” creating a direct model conflict. |
Because no source supplies a model-specific OnePlus 16 case page, dimensions, magnet layout or accessory list, there is no confirmed product recommendation to make.

Why a case for another OnePlus model is not a safe substitute
Magnetic compatibility is tied to the phone and the case as a physical system. A case must match the handset’s length, width, thickness, button positions, camera opening and charging area. Its magnetic ring or core also has to sit in the right place for an accessory to hold securely and, where charging is intended, to align with the charging coil.

The OnePlus 15R examples demonstrate this model-by-model approach. OnePlus describes the 15R’s integrated ring and its supported accessory uses, but that wording is specific to the 15R. Even if two phones look similar, a 15R case does not become a OnePlus 16 case by sharing the same brand or a similar name. The same caution applies to the OnePlus 15 Hole-Pattern Magnetic Case and to any case advertised for an older device.
How to interpret the contradictory third-party listing
The listing is a lead worth checking, not proof of compatibility. Its product description reportedly claims a OnePlus 16 case with a built-in magnetic core and support for the OPPO Mag ecosystem. Those claims would be relevant if the device field also identified the OnePlus 16. Instead, the listing’s compatibility metadata says “OnePlus 7T Pro.”

That conflict could reflect a copied template, a dropdown error or a case made for a different phone. The reason cannot be established from the listing alone. Do not assume that the title, photographs or accessory claims override the incompatible model field.
Questions to send the seller
- “Is this case manufactured specifically for the OnePlus 16, not the OnePlus 7T Pro or another model?”
- “Which magnetic accessories are supported: mounting, stands, wireless charging, or all three?”
- “Is magnetic wireless charging tested through this case, and with which accessory or charging system?”
- “Can you confirm the case’s exact device model in writing and provide a return option if it does not fit?”
Keep the reply and the product page. If the seller will not resolve the model mismatch, choose a different listing rather than relying on a potentially incorrect compatibility field.

“Magnetic” can describe different functions
A magnetic label alone does not tell you what the case will do. Evaluate the intended use separately.
Mounting and stands
For a car mount, desk mount or stand, the case must provide enough magnetic attraction and the correct contact position to hold the phone without slipping. A listing that says only “magnetic” does not establish the holding strength, orientation or fit for a particular mount. Ask whether the seller names your exact accessory type and model.

Magnetic wireless charging
Charging requires more than a magnet. The phone, case and charger must align, and the case must not interfere with the charging system. A case can hold onto a mount yet fail to charge, or charge only when positioned carefully. Require an explicit statement that magnetic wireless charging works with the OnePlus 16, rather than treating a mounting claim as charging evidence.

Magnetic power banks
The Slim Magnetic Power Bank 5000mAh guide specifies up to 10 W wireless output and says the official magnetic protective case is necessary to avoid abnormal conditions. The guide does not identify the OnePlus 16. Therefore, its 10 W figure describes the power bank’s stated output, not a confirmed OnePlus 16 charging result.

Use this buyer checklist before ordering
- Verify the exact phone name. The listing should state “OnePlus 16” in its compatibility field, not merely in a headline, photograph or search keyword. Exclude entries that name OnePlus 7T Pro, OnePlus 15R, OnePlus 15 or a generic “OnePlus” model unless the seller supplies a specific written confirmation.
- Identify the magnetic system. Look for a named ecosystem or accessory standard and a description of the magnet’s location. If the listing mentions OPPO Mag, ask whether that means mounting, charging or both.
- Match the claim to your use. For charging, require explicit magnetic wireless-charging support. For a mount, ask about retention and orientation. For a stand, ask whether the phone remains attached in the intended viewing position.
- Check return terms before payment. A clear return window matters because compatibility cannot be inferred from the current evidence. Confirm whether opened cases can be returned and who pays return shipping.
- Ask OnePlus directly when the listing is unclear. Request confirmation of an official OnePlus 16 magnetic case, the supported accessory ecosystem and any restrictions on magnetic power banks.
- Save the evidence. Keep screenshots of the model field, accessory claims and seller response in case the delivered case differs from the listing.
What to do if you already bought an unverified case
- Compare the case with the phone before applying pressure. Check the camera opening, buttons, ports and corners; do not force a case that appears dimensionally wrong.
- Read the packaging and instructions for the exact device name. If they identify a different OnePlus model, treat that as a fit failure even if the case looks similar.
- Test the accessory on a stable surface first. Check whether the phone stays attached to the mount or stand in the orientation you need, without using it over a drop hazard.
- If you intend to charge, verify that the listing explicitly supports charging for the OnePlus 16. A magnet that holds the phone is not proof that charging is safe or functional.
- For the Slim Magnetic Power Bank, follow the manufacturer’s instruction to use the official magnetic protective case. Because the guide does not name the OnePlus 16, contact OnePlus before relying on that combination.
- Stop testing and use the return process if the phone shifts, the accessory disconnects, charging repeatedly starts and stops, or the case does not fit the stated model.
How the known options compare
| Option | OnePlus 16 fit status | Magnetic-use evidence | Buying decision |
|---|---|---|---|
| Official OnePlus 16 magnetic case | Not established in the available official listings. | No model-specific magnet or charging details supplied. | Wait for an official product page or written confirmation. |
| Third-party listing claiming a OnePlus 16 case | Contradictory: the compatibility field says OnePlus 7T Pro. | Claims a magnetic core and OPPO Mag support, but the claims are not validated for the OnePlus 16. | Buy only after the seller resolves the mismatch and offers a usable return route. |
| OnePlus 15R Sandstone Magnetic Case | For the OnePlus 15R, not confirmed for the OnePlus 16. | OnePlus says its integrated ring supports magnetic power banks, mounts and other magnetic accessories for the 15R. | Do not treat it as a OnePlus 16 case. |
| OnePlus 15 Hole-Pattern Magnetic Case | For the OnePlus 15, not confirmed for the OnePlus 16. | The catalog identifies it as magnetic but provides no OnePlus 16 compatibility. | Do not substitute it without explicit model confirmation. |
What official information to watch for
When OnePlus publishes model-specific accessories, the useful page should identify the OnePlus 16 by name and explain the supported magnetic functions. Look for separate statements about mounts, stands, magnetic wireless charging and power-bank use rather than a single undifferentiated “magnetic” label.
The OxygenOS 16 supported-device page is not an accessory catalog. Its note that the device list is not exhaustive does not convert software support into case or magnet support. Similarly, an official case page for the 15R or another model cannot fill the gap for the 16.
Recheck OnePlus product listings and ask OnePlus support after OnePlus 16 accessories are published. Availability and accessory specifications can change, so use the model-specific page and its stated region when making the purchase decision.

There is no verified OnePlus 16 magnetic-accessory case in the available evidence. The only surfaced OnePlus 16 listing contradicts itself by pairing a OnePlus 16 claim with “OnePlus 7T Pro” compatibility metadata. The safest decision is to wait for an official OnePlus 16 case page or obtain written seller or OnePlus confirmation of the exact fit and the magnetic function you need.
