Bluetooth alone does not mirror an iPhone’s screen to a projector. For video, look for explicit AirPlay or iOS screen-sharing support; Bluetooth is a separate feature, commonly used for pairing audio devices. Among the documented compact options here, the LG CineBeam Q PU600U offers AirPlay 2 and Bluetooth, while the Optoma ML750i supports iOS sharing through an optional Wi-Fi dongle. Neither choice is cordless by default in every setup: the CineBeam Q needs power, and the Optoma needs its dongle for wireless sharing.
What to check before choosing an iPhone projector
- Phone-to-projector video: Verify AirPlay, AirPlay 2, or explicitly named iOS mirroring support on the exact model and regional version. A Bluetooth label by itself is not enough.
- Connection conditions: Wireless mirroring may require both devices on the same Wi-Fi network or an additional Wi-Fi accessory. Wired HDMI avoids depending on wireless screen sharing.
- Power and portability: A compact projector may still require a power outlet or external battery.
- Picture needs: Compare resolution and brightness, keeping measurement standards and viewing conditions in mind.
- Content restrictions: Some subscription video apps limit phone mirroring. Check the app’s support before relying on it.
Compact projector options with documented iPhone support
| Model or setup | iPhone connection | Bluetooth and other connections | Key trade-off |
|---|---|---|---|
| LG CineBeam Q PU600U | AirPlay 2; iPhone and projector must share a Wi-Fi network. LG specifies iOS 12.3 or later. | Bluetooth pairing; built-in 4 W speaker; USB-C input supports 4K at 30 Hz, but not HDR. | No built-in battery. Use the power cord or an external battery rated at least 20 V/3.25 A. |
| Optoma ML750i | Display Share app supports iOS mirroring/casting; a Wi-Fi dongle is required. | HDMI, 3.5 mm audio out, and built-in speaker. | Manufacturer lists 0.88 lb and WXGA 1280 × 800 resolution, not Full HD; wireless sharing requires an extra accessory. |
| Epson Home Cinema 1100 | Apple AirPlay screen mirroring. | Two HDMI ports; USB port can power a streaming device. | A brighter home-cinema comparison, not a mini-projector pick. Epson lists 1080p and 3,400 lumens each for color and white brightness, using different measurement standards. |
| iPhone plus HDMI adapter | Wired video output through an adapter matched to the iPhone’s connector and the projector’s HDMI input. | HDMI connection; no projector Bluetooth requirement for video. | Requires the right adapter, and protected streaming apps may still restrict playback. |
The specifications above are manufacturer-listed for the named models; brightness figures are not directly interchangeable across measurement standards. LG notes that wireless performance can vary with Wi-Fi conditions and firmware. Regional model features and availability may also differ.
LG CineBeam Q: the closest match to Bluetooth plus iPhone mirroring
The CineBeam Q PU600U is the clearest documented fit for someone who wants both iPhone screen sharing and Bluetooth in a compact projector. LG lists AirPlay 2 for Apple devices separately from Bluetooth pairing, so the two features serve different purposes. For AirPlay, the iPhone and projector must be on the same Wi-Fi network.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches2Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems3Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteIts portability has a power limitation: there is no built-in battery. LG says it can run from its power cord or an external battery rated 20 V/3.25 A or higher. Confirm that any battery you plan to use meets that requirement.

Optoma ML750i: lighter, but wireless sharing needs a dongle

Its manufacturer lists a weight of 0.88 lb, 1280 × 800 resolution, and a 50–100-inch projection size. The Display Share app supports iOS mirroring or casting, but the wireless setup requires a Wi-Fi dongle, so factor in that accessory.

When a home-cinema projector or HDMI setup makes more sense
Choose a larger-class projector for a brighter room
The Epson Home Cinema 1100 is not a mini projector, but it provides a useful comparison if brightness and a larger home setup matter more than pocketable size. Epson lists 1080p resolution and 3,400 lumens of color brightness and 3,400 lumens of white brightness. The figures use different standards—IDMS for color and ISO for white—and Epson notes that brightness varies with usage conditions. It supports iPhone AirPlay screen mirroring and has two HDMI ports. The elegant design makes it ideal for gift-giving.NOTE: Copyrighted videos such as Netflix, Amazon Prime, and Disney may not support direct playback through mobile phone mirroring. It is recommended to connect to a TV Stick to play
Use HDMI when wireless mirroring is unreliable
A wired connection can avoid Wi-Fi discovery and mirroring problems. Identify the iPhone’s connector first, then select an adapter that supports video output to the projector’s HDMI input; adapter compatibility can vary by iPhone generation. This route does not guarantee that every streaming app will play mirrored video.
Consider a streaming device for restricted apps
Some subscription video apps restrict playback through mobile-device mirroring. If those services are your main use, check the app’s casting and mirroring rules before purchase. A supported streaming device connected to the projector’s HDMI input may suit that workflow better, but the service must still be supported on the device. TechRadar’s portable projector guide

How to decide
- For built-in AirPlay 2 and Bluetooth: Consider the LG CineBeam Q, accepting its same-Wi-Fi requirement and external-power limitation.
- For a very light compact option: Consider the Optoma ML750i if WXGA is adequate and you are willing to use the required Wi-Fi dongle.
- For more brightness at home: Compare the Epson Home Cinema 1100, recognizing that it is a home-cinema model rather than a mini projector.
- For fewer wireless dependencies: Connect the iPhone to HDMI with a suitable adapter, or use a streaming device for apps that support it.
