For most presenter-led training videos, the Logitech Brio 4K is the most versatile starting point: it offers adjustable framing for a face-only lesson or a wider demonstration, plus 4K recording at 30 fps and 1080p at 60 fps. Choose the MX Brio instead if its USB-C connection and listed image-enhancement features better fit your setup. These are recommendations based on Logitech’s published specifications, not independent camera tests.
Which Logitech camera fits your training-video setup?
The right choice depends less on the word “4K” than on what the camera needs to show. A close presenter shot calls for different framing from a lesson that includes a whiteboard, physical objects, or more of the room. Check the camera’s connection and operating-system support against your computer, too.
| Camera | Published specifications and compatibility | When it may fit |
|---|---|---|
| Logitech Brio 4K | 4K at 30 fps; 1080p at 60 fps; autofocus; 65°, 78°, and 90° diagonal field-of-view presets; USB-A or USB-C support is noted on Logitech’s listing. Changing the field of view requires Logi Tune. | A versatile option when you want to switch between a presenter-focused frame and a wider demonstration view. |
| Logitech MX Brio | 4K at 30 fps; 1080p at 60 fps; advanced autofocus; 65°, 78°, and 90° diagonal field-of-view presets; 4x digital zoom; USB-C; RightLight 5. These details are from a regional Logitech page, so confirm the current specifications for your market. | A premium alternative if USB-C and Logitech’s listed image-enhancement features suit your workflow. |
| Logitech StreamCam | Logitech’s setup guide lists USB-C/USB 3.0 and Windows 10 or later and macOS 10.15 or later. ChromeOS is not listed for this model in that guide’s compatibility table. | Consider it only after checking the current model specifications and confirming your computer and platform meet its requirements. |
| Logitech C922 Pro HD or C920S Pro HD | Logitech’s setup guide lists USB-A and Windows 10 or later, macOS 10.15 or later, and ChromeOS support. The cited guide does not establish resolution or comparative image details for these models. | Potential alternatives to investigate if you are considering a Full HD or lower-cost camera; verify detailed current specifications before choosing one. |
Specifications in the table are manufacturer-published information, not a comparative test. The available evidence does not establish a universal best camera or a measured difference in training-video quality between these models.

For the Brio 4K and MX Brio, Logitech lists three diagonal field-of-view presets. The narrower setting keeps attention on the presenter; wider settings include more of the setting and can make a demonstration easier to see. Logitech says changing the Brio 4K’s field of view requires Logi Tune.
#1 Best Overall
- Compatible with Nintendo Switch 2’s new GameChat mode
- HD lighting adjustment and autofocus: The Logitech webcam automatically fine-tunes the lighting, producing bright, razor-sharp images even in low-light settings. This makes it a great webcam for streaming and an ideal web camera for laptop use
- Advanced capture software: Easily create and share video content with this Logitech camera that is suitable for use as a desktop computer camera or a monitor webcam
- Stereo audio with dual mics: Capture natural sound during calls and recorded videos with this 1080p webcam, great as a video conference camera or a computer webcam
- Full HD 1080p video calling and recording at 30 fps. You'll make a strong impression with this PC webcam that features crisp, clearly detailed, and vibrantly colored video
- 65°: A tighter head-and-shoulders frame for presenter-led lessons with little need to show the workspace.
- 78°: A middle ground that includes more of the setting than the tight preset.
- 90°: A wider view for showing physical objects or whiteboard content, though it also brings more of the room into the shot.
Choose the narrowest view that includes everything the lesson needs. A wide setting is not automatically better: background distractions can compete with the lesson, while a close frame may crop a demonstration. Set the frame in the actual recording position and check its edges before recording.
Do you need 4K for a training video?
Not necessarily. The Brio 4K and MX Brio list 4K capture at 30 fps and 1080p capture at 60 fps. Those are manufacturer specifications; they do not show that 4K improves a straightforward talking-head lesson or the viewer’s learning outcomes.

- Compatible with Nintendo Switch 2’s new GameChat mode
- Auto-Light Balance: RightLight boosts brightness by up to 50%, reducing shadows so you look your best—compared to previous-generation Logitech webcams (1)
- Privacy with a Slide: The integrated webcam cover makes it easy to get total, reliable privacy when you're not on a video call
- Built-In Mic: The built-in microphone lets others hear you clearly during video calls
- Easy Plug-And-Play: The Brio 101 works with most video calling platforms, including Microsoft Teams, Zoom and Google Meet—no hassle; it just works
Consider 4K if you expect to crop or reframe footage during editing and want more image detail available to work with. For a fixed presenter shot, 1080p may be sufficient. Your editing workflow, storage capacity, computer connection, and intended frame rate all matter; the source specifications alone do not establish which setting will work best for a particular computer or recording application.
Check ports and operating-system support before buying
Match the camera’s connection to an available computer port, and check the operating-system requirements for the specific model. Logitech’s compatibility guide lists USB-C/USB 3.0 for the Brio 4K, MX Brio, and StreamCam, and USB-A for the C922 Pro HD and C920S Pro HD. Its StreamCam entry lists Windows 10 or later and macOS 10.15 or later, but does not list ChromeOS for that model; its C922 and C920S entries list Windows 10 or later, macOS 10.15 or later, and ChromeOS.

These are guide-listed compatibility details, not a guarantee for every computer, cable, port configuration, or later software release. Confirm the current requirements and the exact model listing for your region before purchase.
Set up the camera for a clear lesson
- Place it at eye level. Logitech recommends positioning the camera at eye level and about an arm’s length from the presenter. Adjust the distance to keep the presenter and any needed demonstration in frame.
- Put light in front of you. Logitech recommends front lighting and warns that a bright background behind the presenter can create a silhouette. If the room lacks suitable front light, consider adding a desk light rather than relying on camera features to compensate.
- Choose the frame for the lesson. Use a tighter view for direct instruction; widen it only when the room, objects, or whiteboard contribute to the explanation.
- Record a test in your intended application. Check focus, framing, lighting, and the recorded result before an important session. Logitech recommends testing settings before important video calls; a recording test also lets you check how your chosen app handles the camera.
Should you use the built-in microphone?
Logitech describes the Brio 4K’s microphones as dual omnidirectional, noise-canceling microphones and says they capture audio up to one meter away. That is a manufacturer claim, not an independent audio evaluation. Whether the built-in microphones are adequate depends on the room, background noise, and how far the presenter sits from the camera. Record and listen to a sample in the actual space before relying on them for a full lesson.

Make the choice by workflow, not by a universal ranking
- Choose the Brio 4K if adjustable framing and the option of 4K or 1080p capture are useful to your lessons.
- Consider the MX Brio if USB-C and its listed RightLight 5 and autofocus features fit your setup, after confirming the current regional specifications.
- Check the StreamCam’s requirements carefully if you are considering it; the cited setup guide lists its connection and Windows/macOS requirements but does not list ChromeOS support.
- Investigate the C922 Pro HD or C920S Pro HD only after verifying their detailed current specifications; the cited compatibility guide establishes connection and platform support, not resolution or image comparisons.
For any of these cameras, lighting, positioning, framing, and a recording test remain part of the setup. No camera specification by itself guarantees a polished training video.
