RTINGS’ 2026 Logitech mouse roundup names the MX Master 4 its work pick. The roundup says the MX Master family pairs wirelessly with up to three devices using Bluetooth or a USB receiver and has separate scroll wheels for vertical and horizontal scrolling. Those features suit workflows that move between devices or involve wide documents and spreadsheets.
The MX Master 4 replaced the MX Master 3S in RTINGS’ work category in January 2026. RTINGS characterizes the newer model as somewhat more expensive, with shape refinements, more durable material choices, and a haptic shortcut button. That makes the 3S an earlier-generation alternative to consider, rather than the current default in that roundup. RTINGS’ MX Master 3S review describes it as bulky and heavy and intended for productivity rather than gaming.

PC Gamer’s guide, last updated May 18, 2026, names the G502 X its best wired gaming mouse. That guide lists 25,600 DPI, 11 buttons, and a weight of 89 g; these are the guide’s stated specifications. It also praises the shape and programmable controls while warning that the Lightforce clicks can sound clunky. For travel: MX Anywhere 3S
If a full-sized MX Master mouse feels too bulky to carry, the MX Anywhere 3S is the more compact productivity alternative. RTINGS’ MX Master 3S review describes the Anywhere 3S as smaller, lighter, and more portable than the 3S. That comparison supports a portability distinction; it does not establish that the Anywhere is a better choice for every user or task.
