The Redmi Note 14 5G is a confirmed in-display fingerprint-sensor option to check first, but whether it fits a strict ₹15,000 budget depends on the live price of the exact variant. The realme P1 5G also has a manufacturer-confirmed in-display scanner, though its current price eligibility is unclear. The POCO M7 Pro has appeared at ₹14,999 in a comparison listing, but its sensor placement still needs manufacturer confirmation.
Which models have a confirmed in-display fingerprint scanner?
Sensor placement is the key filter. A listing that says only “fingerprint sensor” does not establish that the reader is beneath the display. Confirm the wording on the manufacturer’s specification page for the exact model before buying.
| Phone | Sensor and display evidence | Price evidence | What to verify |
|---|---|---|---|
| Redmi Note 14 5G | Xiaomi India confirms a 6.67-inch AMOLED display, 120Hz refresh rate, and in-display fingerprint sensor. Xiaomi India specifications | Current comparison listings place it among phones below ₹15,000, but the price and qualifying variant can change. MySmartPrice under-₹15,000 listings | Check the live price and exact RAM/storage configuration. |
| realme P1 5G | realme India confirms a Super AMOLED display and an in-display 3D fingerprint scanner. realme India specifications | Current price eligibility under ₹15,000 is not established. | Check whether a currently sold configuration meets your budget. |
| POCO M7 Pro | One comparison result reports a 120Hz AMOLED display, but does not independently establish that the fingerprint reader is in-display. | MySmartPrice reports ₹14,999. MySmartPrice listing | Confirm sensor placement on POCO’s specification page before treating it as a match. |
How to check whether a phone really fits the budget
- Open the manufacturer’s specifications for the exact phone model and confirm that the fingerprint sensor is described as “in-display.”
- Check the retailer’s current price for the specific RAM and storage variant you intend to buy. Do not assume that a starting price or an older listing applies to every configuration.
- Confirm that the phone is available to buy in India at that price, including any conditions attached to an offer.
- Recheck the price and stock before checkout; both can change.
How to choose between the confirmed options
Start with price eligibility, then compare the exact variants on the factors that matter to you: display, performance, cameras, battery, charging, and software support. The available evidence confirms sensor placement for the Redmi Note 14 5G and realme P1 5G, but does not establish a winner on those broader comparison points or show that one scanner is faster, more accurate, or more reliable than another.

Why category lists can be misleading
Category pages may surface additional models, including the Lava Bold 2 5G, but a category label or a generic “fingerprint sensor” entry is not enough to prove an in-display reader on a particular model and configuration. Treat such phones as unconfirmed until the manufacturer’s specifications verify the placement.
