Yes. Samsung says Galaxy Z Flip phones come with a specially designed protective film already applied to the main, foldable display. That does not mean the cover screen has the same factory-applied film: Samsung’s guidance for the Galaxy Z Flip5 says its cover-screen film is sold separately.
Which Galaxy Z Flip screen has the factory film?
The pre-installed film is on the main screen—the large display that folds shut. Samsung describes it as a specially designed screen protector for the Galaxy Z series. It is a film layer, not a separate rigid-glass protector.
The smaller outer cover screen is a separate matter. Samsung Gulf says a protective film for the Galaxy Z Flip5 cover screen is sold separately. That is specific to the Flip5 guidance; check Samsung’s documentation for your exact generation rather than assuming the same packaging applies to every Flip model.

Should you remove or replace the inner-screen film?
Samsung UK warns that removing the official film or applying a non-official film can cause touch abnormalities or damage to the screen. If the inner film is bubbling, lifting, or needs replacement, Samsung recommends using a service centre. Its U.S. support guidance says an authorized specialist should apply the replacement film.

Do not treat the factory film as an invitation to add another layer. Follow the instructions for your model and ask Samsung support or a service centre about the correct replacement if the film is damaged or coming loose.
Can Samsung replace the film for free?
It depends on your country, model, purchase details, and the terms in effect. Samsung Electronics America’s U.S. support page, accessed in 2026, describes one no-charge application within the first 12 months for eligible cases; it lists subsequent applications at $19.99. A separate U.S. promotion has its own qualifying-model, purchase-date, and U.S.-residency conditions, so the support-page terms should not be read as a universal or automatic entitlement.
