For the largest reported storage upgrade from a single Outpost furnishing in ARC Raiders, start with the Sturdy Shelf. It has the highest community-reported capacity among the documented general-item furnishings. For guns, choose the Polished Weapon Rack, which is dedicated to weapon storage. These are Outpost containers with item-type restrictions—not extra universal Raider Stash slots—and the figures below reflect current player and catalogue reports for Frozen Trail version 2.0.0, not an official Embark ranking.
What furniture storage actually changes
The Outpost introduced in the Frozen Trail 2.0 update gives you display and storage furniture separate from the ordinary Raider Stash. A shelf, cupboard, table or weapon rack can hold eligible objects in its own attached slots. Those slots do not convert into general-purpose Stash space: a furniture piece may accept only particular item classes, and a weapon rack cannot be filled with trinkets or crafting materials.
That distinction matters when deciding what to build. The official Frozen Trail – 2.0 Update patch notes, published 8 October 2026, increased the standard Stash through two additional upgrade tiers. Embark states: “The Stash can be upgraded further, by two tiers. The new maximum (without Expedition rewards or acquired Nomadic Envoy space) is 328 slots.” The 328-slot figure is the ceiling for the normal Stash under those conditions; it is not a total for Outpost furniture.
Highest-capacity furniture reported for Frozen Trail 2.0.0
The following comparison combines the ARC Raiders Wiki furniture catalogue with player observations posted in October 2026. Treat the slot counts as current reported values. Embark has not published a complete capacity table or an official ranking.

On the evidence available, the Sturdy Shelf is the first design to check when your goal is the greatest number of eligible non-weapon items per furnishing. The Polished Weapon Rack is the corresponding choice for guns. A raw slot count is not an apples-to-apples comparison: a 24-slot shelf is not equivalent to 24 additional universal Stash spaces.
How item compatibility works
Shelves, cupboards and tables
Recent player reports describe shelves and tables as useful for trinkets, fruit and some other non-weapon objects. The reports do not provide a complete, authoritative item whitelist, so do not assume that every loose item in your inventory will fit. A design can offer many slots while still being unsuitable for the particular category you need to clear from your Stash.
Weapon racks
Weapon racks are a separate branch of storage. The furniture catalogue lists three attached slots for the Battered Weapon Rack and four for both the Sturdy and Polished Weapon Racks. The recent report on the Polished rack specifically describes storing four guns. These slots are for weapons rather than general loot, so building one will not solve a trinket or food-storage bottleneck.

Seating and other display furniture
Community documentation says seating can hold Spring Cushions. That makes a seat useful for a narrow item class, but it should not be counted as general storage. The Outpost community guide also describes trinkets appearing on den floors and shelves and prized guns being displayed on walls; that descriptive text explains the display system, not a promise that every display surface has the same container behavior.

How to choose and build the right upgrade
- Identify the item class causing the problem. Separate guns, trinkets, fruit, cushions and other objects before choosing a design. A high-capacity shelf is useful only if it accepts the items you need to move.
- Open the Outpost furniture shop. The shop reportedly displays a design’s slot capacity. Use that value as the starting point, then check whether the design is available to your character.
- Check compatibility after learning the design. Some players report that the shop does not reveal every accepted item type until the design has been learned. If the interface does not show a complete list, plan to test with one eligible item rather than committing all your materials.
- Compare capacity with your unlocked furnishing slots. A large shelf is less valuable if your current Outpost modules provide too few places to deploy it. Your practical total depends on the modules and furniture-placement slots you have unlocked.
- Build for the category you actually store. Use the Sturdy Shelf for the largest reported general-item capacity, a weapon rack for guns, and a table or specialized furniture only when its accepted class matches your inventory.
- Place the item and test it before reorganizing everything. Put a known compatible object into the furnishing, verify that the slot behaves as expected, and only then transfer a larger batch from the Stash.
- Keep a recovery option. Community reports indicate that racks and filled furniture may be storable in Outpost storage, but the allowed counts and exact rules are not established in Embark’s published notes. Do not dismantle or move every container until you know your own layout can hold it.
Materials and design access
Storage capacity is only one part of the decision. Designs require in-game materials and, in some cases, research access shown by the catalogue. The furniture database lists the following costs:
- Sturdy Shelf: 25 Sheet Metal and 5 Plastic Parts, plus the research requirements displayed by the database.
- Polished Weapon Rack: 20 Sheet Metal and 10 Plastic Parts, plus its listed research requirements.
Those costs are crafting requirements inside the game, not a purchase price and not a recommendation to buy an external product. If you have enough materials for only one design, match the recipe to your bottleneck: choose the shelf when non-weapon objects are consuming space, or the weapon rack when guns are the problem.
The official update summary says the Outpost has 100 furniture designs. That is the total design catalogue, including designs unlocked through different routes; it is not a count of storage-capable designs. A design being decorative, expensive or visually large does not establish that it provides container slots.
Why there is no single universal Outpost capacity
Players can unlock different Outpost modules and different numbers of furnishing positions. The number of Sturdy Shelves, tables or racks you can actually deploy therefore varies with progression. The item classes you need to store also change the useful total: several weapon racks may be better for an armoury, while a smaller number of high-capacity shelves may be better for trinkets.

Early community reports also disagree about placement details and whether stored furniture can be used as an additional container in every situation. No authoritative source establishes a universal fully upgraded furniture total, an exact limit on filled furnishings, or a complete map of every placement opportunity. Treat any claimed grand total as a player-specific setup unless it is verified in your own Outpost.
Placement problems and practical troubleshooting
The slot appears blocked
Embark’s community guide records known problems with furniture clipping or blocking slots. If a placement point is unavailable even though the module appears unlocked, move nearby objects, rotate the design and try again. A blocked position can be an early-version placement issue rather than evidence that the design has no storage function.
The item will not go into the container
First confirm that the object belongs to the furniture’s accepted class. A weapon rack rejecting a trinket is expected behavior, not a bug. If the category should match, check the design’s learned information in the shop and try a single item; the catalogue and player reports do not document every eligible object.
You cannot find the furniture after moving it
Players report that racks and filled furniture may be placed in Outpost storage, but the exact number allowed and the conditions for doing so remain uncertain. Keep track of which module owns the furnishing and avoid filling every available position before testing the storage and retrieval flow.

The displayed capacity differs from a player post
Use the in-game shop and the design currently available to your character as the final check. Community catalogue entries and player observations can lag a balance change or describe different versions, while Frozen Trail 2.0.0 is the version context for the figures in this guide.

If you need general space
Prioritize one Sturdy Shelf, then add another compatible shelf or a Diner Cupboard as your unlocked positions and materials allow. Test the objects you most often carry before moving less common loot. This approach maximizes useful slots rather than merely filling the Outpost with decorative designs.
If guns fill your Stash
Build a Polished Weapon Rack first when its recipe and research access are available. Add the lower-tier Battered rack if you need another dedicated weapon position and have not unlocked the higher-tier option. Keep weapon storage separate from the shelf plan so you do not mistake unused shelf slots for available gun slots.

Make a short inventory list, then assign one furnishing type to each class: racks for guns, shelves or cupboards for compatible general items, tables for the objects they accept, and seating for Spring Cushions. Compare the number of unlocked positions and the materials needed before spending resources on a design that cannot hold your largest category.

What is confirmed—and what remains provisional
The 328-slot standard Stash ceiling and the Outpost’s introduction are official Frozen Trail 2.0.0 details from Embark’s 8 October 2026 patch notes. The furniture capacities in the comparison table come from the ARC Raiders Wiki catalogue and recent player reports dated 8–12 October 2026. They are useful current values, but they are not an Embark-confirmed ranking.
No published developer table currently maps every furniture design to its capacity, accepted item types and placement limit. Until that information is released, use the shop label, your learned design information and a one-item placement test as the authoritative check for your account. That is also why a universal “fully upgraded Outpost” total cannot be promised.
Decision checklist
- Choose the Sturdy Shelf first for the highest reported per-piece capacity among the documented general-item furnishings.
- Choose the Polished Weapon Rack when the objects taking space are guns.
- Do not count furniture slots as additions to the 328-slot standard Stash maximum.
- Verify accepted item types in the shop or learned design before crafting several copies.
- Include unlocked Outpost modules, placement positions, materials and research access in your calculation.
- Expect occasional clipping or blocked-slot issues and test placement before a full reorganization.
For current Frozen Trail 2.0.0 play, the simplest space-maximizing approach is category-first: use the highest-capacity shelf for compatible general items, a dedicated rack for weapons, and only count the positions your own Outpost has unlocked.
