Built In’s August 27, 2026 article names 47 employers with cybersecurity opportunities across technology, finance, insurance, automotive, healthcare, manufacturing, media, consulting and other fields. Treat the list as a place to begin your search, not confirmation that any particular vacancy is still open: check the employer’s careers site for the current title, requirements, location and work arrangement.
What kinds of cybersecurity jobs do these employers offer?
Cybersecurity is not one job category. Built In’s examples include incident response, cybersecurity engineering and security analysis, alongside more specialized work such as security architecture, threat intelligence, vulnerability management, cloud security, DevSecOps and digital forensics.
Examples of roles across the list
- General Motors examples range from early-career cyber incident handling to senior cybersecurity engineering.
- Rapid7’s examples include cyber intelligence analysts, penetration testers, security researchers and security architects.
- Comcast examples span security operations center (SOC) work, engineering, DevSecOps, AI security and vulnerability management.
- Sierra Space’s systems security work includes incident response and digital forensics.
These examples show the range of work represented; they do not establish that every employer has an opening in each specialty.

How do you check whether a role fits?
Requirements depend on the job, not just the employer. One role example in Built In’s article seeks experienced security engineers with relevant professional certifications and familiarity with Kubernetes, Docker and cloud security vulnerabilities. Those qualifications describe that example; they should not be assumed to apply to all 47 employers or every cybersecurity position.
- Read the current job description for required experience, certifications and technical skills.
- Check whether the work focuses on engineering, analysis, incident response or another specialty you want to pursue.
- Confirm the location and whether remote work is available to applicants in your region.
- Review the employer’s careers site again before applying in case the posting has changed or closed.
Where are the jobs located, and are they remote?
Location and work arrangements vary by employer and individual posting. Built In’s examples include Visa opportunities in the United States and internationally, including Bangalore and Dubai. It describes PagerDuty roles across the United States, Australia, Canada, Chile, Portugal and the United Kingdom. Some Comcast positions are described as fully remote or based in Atlanta, Plano or Philadelphia.
These are examples in the article, not a statement of current openings or eligibility. Check the live posting for the approved work location, remote policy and any geographic restrictions before applying.
How to use the list effectively
- Choose a specialty or type of work that matches your skills and interests.
- Search the careers pages of employers from the roster using that specialty and relevant terms such as incident response, cloud security or vulnerability management.
- Compare the current posting’s required qualifications and work location with your circumstances.
- Apply through the employer’s current listing, and confirm it remains open before investing time in an application.
