The Dimensity 7300X has the stronger specification profile and higher scores in the cited benchmark comparison. It uses four Cortex-A78 performance cores and a Mali-G615 GPU on a 4nm-class process, while the Dimensity 1080 has two Cortex-A78 cores and a Mali-G68 MC4 GPU on a 6nm-class process. Those differences make the 7300X the more promising option on paper, but chip specifications and synthetic scores do not guarantee that every phone using it will outperform every Dimensity 1080 phone.

How the CPU designs differ
The 7300X has four Cortex-A78 cores, compared with two in the 1080. That gives the newer chip more performance cores for workloads that can use several cores at once. The 1080’s A78 cores have a slightly higher listed maximum clock—2.6GHz versus 2.5GHz—so the 7300X does not lead on every individual specification. Core count and peak frequency alone do not determine how fast a phone feels; software, cooling, memory, and the manufacturer’s tuning also matter.

1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsBoth chips pair their A78 cores with four or six lower-power Cortex-A55 cores, respectively. The 1080 specifies a maximum A55 frequency of 2.0GHz; the 7300X’s listed specification does not state an A55 maximum clock.
#1 Best Overall
- PROFESSIONAL THERMAL VISION | The 512x384 thermal camera combines smooth 25fps imaging with 40mK thermal sensitivity to reveal subtle heat differences during electrical checks, HVAC diagnostics, engine inspections, building maintenance and repairs. With dual temperature ranges reaching up to 550°C, G3 Pro puts a serious thermal tool directly in your phone for troubleshooting and field work
- T-MOBILE CONNECTIVITY | Designed for compatible T-Mobile service in the U.S., G3 Pro android phone supports 5G where available, 4G LTE, Dual Nano SIM and Dual Standby for flexible work, personal and travel use. Fast mobile data keeps navigation, cloud files, video calls and field apps moving, while NFC and multi-satellite positioning add useful support for payments and navigation
- FAST PERFORMANCE, SERIOUS STORAGE | The 4nm MediaTek Dimensity 7300 pairs 12GB physical RAM with up to 12GB memory expansion for responsive multitasking across maps, reports, streaming and everyday apps. 512GB built-in storage plus up to 1TB expandable space gives you room for thermal records, photos, video and offline files, while the 6.72" FHD+ 120Hz display keeps scrolling and navigation fluid
- 10000MAH POWER, FLEXIBLE CHARGING – Built for long shifts, road trips, navigation and extended days away from a charger, the 10000mAh battery delivers serious endurance while the approximately 375g body keeps G3 Pro more manageable than many extreme-battery rugged phones. Recharge with 33W USB-C PD, use 18W wireless charging, or share power through reverse charging with compatible devices
- BUILT TOUGH, LOUD AND READY OUTSIDE | IP68/IP69K protection and MIL-STD-810H durability help G3 Pro handle rain, dust, mud, drops and demanding jobsite conditions, while the powerful 116dB speaker keeps calls, alerts and navigation easier to hear in noisy surroundings. A built-in camping light, 64MP Sony main camera, 50MP front camera, OTG and 3.5mm audio add practical tools for inspections, night tasks, work records and outdoor use
What the benchmark comparison reports
91mobiles lists the following scores for the two processors. Geekbench figures are from version 6.
| Benchmark | Dimensity 1080 | Dimensity 7300X |
|---|---|---|
| AnTuTu total reported by 91mobiles | 513,980 | 676,483 |
| Geekbench 6 single-core reported by 91mobiles | 983 | 1,051 |
| Geekbench 6 multi-core reported by 91mobiles | 2,428 | 3,032 |
In this 91mobiles snapshot, the 7300X scores higher in all three listed results. The comparison page does not provide enough detail about device matching, software, ambient temperature, or test protocol to treat the figures as a controlled head-to-head test or universal chip constants. Results can vary with the phone, its cooling and memory, firmware, benchmark version, and test conditions.
What the GPU and process suggest—and what they do not
The 7300X combines a 4nm-class process with a Mali-G615 GPU, while the 1080 uses a 6nm-class process and Mali-G68 MC4 graphics. That is a newer process and a different GPU generation on the 7300X’s specification sheet. It is not, by itself, evidence of a particular frame rate, better sustained gaming performance, or longer battery life.

No directly comparable game-frame-rate or sustained-thermal result for these exact two chips is established here. For gaming, the phone’s cooling design and software tuning are important alongside the GPU. The benchmark totals above should not be converted into a promised gaming advantage.

MediaTek lists Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.4 for the 7300X, compared with Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2 for the 1080. The 7300X is also positioned for dual-display flip phones, with the display modes shown in the table. These capabilities depend on handset implementation and are not guaranteed in every device built around the chip.
91mobiles lists the Motorola Razr 50 and Lava Agni 3 as 7300X phone examples, and the Samsung Galaxy A34 and Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Pro 5G as Dimensity 1080 examples. These examples identify phones associated with the processors; they do not establish current price, stock, or regional availability.
Which should you choose?
Choose a phone with the Dimensity 7300X if
- You want the newer specification profile, including four Cortex-A78 cores and Mali-G615 graphics.
- The specific phone offers the screen, camera, battery, and features you need at a suitable price.
- You value platform features such as Wi-Fi 6E or a flip-phone dual-display design where the handset actually implements them.
A Dimensity 1080 phone may still be the better buy if
- Its overall price and handset features are more attractive to you.
- You have verified that its display, cameras, battery life, and software support fit your needs.
- You are comparing complete phones rather than assuming a processor name alone determines real-world performance.
Compare the exact regional models and their memory configurations, display, camera hardware, battery, thermal behavior, and price. The chip comparison favors the 7300X on paper and in the reported benchmarks; it cannot settle which handset is the better purchase.
