The available reviews are from named publications, not tests conducted for this article, and their noise measurements use different methods and distances. Dreo’s Smart Misting Fan 516S is included only as an adjacent option: its review describes a misting fan but does not establish that it is bladeless.

Homes & Gardens’ distinctive reason to consider the TurboBlade is its control over airflow direction, including horizontal positioning. Fauzi’s review describes a three-week home test spanning two hot weeks and says room coverage was assessed in the home’s largest room. The review also calls the model expensive compared with alternatives, making its directional control the key reason to weigh it against a simpler fan. TechRadar identifies the 516S as a misting fan released in April 2026, with a 1.3-litre tank and app, Alexa and Google Home controls. The review gives it 4/5 and says turbo mode was distracting in noise. Its $99.99 / £99.99 listed price is a publication-time figure. How to interpret the noise and testing claims
The reviews do not provide a fair head-to-head noise ranking. Lewsley measured the Dyson from one metre using a decibel meter; Fauzi used the DecibelX app from 20 inches for the Shark and reported a maximum around 65 dB. Different distances and measurement methods affect the figures, so the Shark number cannot be directly compared with the Dyson review’s noise assessment. The Dreo review describes turbo mode as distracting but the cited material supplies no comparable noise measurement.
These are findings from The Independent, Homes & Gardens and TechRadar, respectively—not results from a shared test protocol. The Independent’s Dyson ranking applies to the Dyson models in its own roundup, not all bladeless fans. In a separate 2026 fan roundup, The Independent named the MeacoFan Sefte 10-inch table air circulator its overall winner after considering airflow, noise and energy efficiency; the writer said it was sold out, with stock not expected until January 2027 at the time of writing.
