Choose Beats 360 if you want over-ear fit, noise cancellation and interchangeable cushions; choose Beats Studio Pro for over-ear noise cancellation at a lower official list price; choose Beats Solo 4 if you prefer a foldable on-ear design and the longest stated battery life. The right choice depends more on fit and features than on the model’s position in the lineup. Beats’ U.S. catalogue lists original prices, not verified current retailer prices.
How the three Beats headphones differ
| Model | Fit and noise cancellation | Battery claim | Wired listening and portability | Official U.S. original price |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Beats 360 | Over-ear; listed with noise cancellation; interchangeable cushion options | Not stated in the cited official catalogue information | Over-ear design; specific wired-audio details are not established here | $349.99 |
| Beats Studio Pro | Over-ear; noise cancellation and Transparency mode | Up to 40 hours, according to Beats | Wired lossless audio over USB-C or 3.5 mm, according to Beats | $299.99 |
| Beats Solo 4 | On-ear; not listed with noise cancellation | Up to 50 hours, according to Beats | Foldable, portable design; wired lossless audio over USB-C or 3.5 mm, according to Beats | $199.99 |
The prices are Beats’ U.S. catalogue original prices, accessed in 2026. They are list-price context, not a cross-retailer survey or a guarantee of what a model currently costs. Battery figures are manufacturer “up to” claims, not independent real-world measurements.
Which Beats should you buy for your needs?
Choose Beats 360 for over-ear ANC and interchangeable cushions
Beats 360 is the option to consider if you want an over-ear model with noise cancellation and value having interchangeable cushion options. Its official U.S. catalogue original price is $349.99. That makes it the highest-priced of these three at list price, but it does not establish that it performs better than the others in noise cancellation or sound. Hands-on reviews from outlets including SoundGuys, Tom’s Guide and TechRadar can offer subjective impressions; treat those as reviewer judgments rather than universal results.

Choose Beats Studio Pro for over-ear ANC at a lower list price
Studio Pro is a practical fit if you want an over-ear design with noise cancellation but do not need the Beats 360’s interchangeable-cushion feature. Beats lists ANC and Transparency mode, along with up to 40 hours of listening time. The company also says the headphones support wired lossless audio over USB-C or 3.5 mm. Its $299.99 official U.S. original price is $50 below the Beats 360’s catalogue figure; compare actual retailer prices before treating that as a real-world saving.

- SPATIAL AUDIO IMMERSION: Personalized dynamic head tracking, 360-degree sound for movies, music and immersive everyday listening.
Choose Solo 4 for on-ear portability and longer stated battery life
Solo 4 is the least expensive of the three at its $199.99 official U.S. original price. Its on-ear, foldable design is positioned for portability, and Beats claims up to 50 hours of battery life. It also supports wired lossless listening over USB-C or 3.5 mm. The trade-off is fit: on-ear headphones rest against the ears, rather than surrounding them, and the catalogue does not list Solo 4 with noise cancellation.
Does on-ear or over-ear fit matter more?
Fit affects how a headphone feels over a long session and how suitable it is for your routine. Beats 360 and Studio Pro are over-ear; Solo 4 is on-ear. Comfort is personal: ear shape, glasses, head size and sensitivity to clamp pressure can all change the experience. If possible, try the headphones on before buying, paying attention to pressure and ear contact rather than relying on a general comfort claim.
Rank #2
- Custom acoustic architecture and updated drivers for powerful Beats sound.
- Personalized Spatial Audio with dynamic head tracking.
- Ultralight ergonomic design for all-day comfort. Flex-grip headband and ergonomically angled, adjustable ear cups for a stable fit.
- UltraPlush ear cushions are designed for comfort and durability.
- Up to 50 hours of battery life.
If you already know that on-ear headphones bother you, focus on the two over-ear models. If compactness and folding matter more, Solo 4 may suit you better. Neither fit style is automatically more comfortable for everyone.
What to know about noise cancellation, battery and wired listening
Noise cancellation
The official catalogue lists noise cancellation for Beats 360 and Studio Pro, but not Solo 4. Studio Pro also includes Transparency mode, according to Beats. The available product information does not establish a measured ranking between the two ANC models, so choose based on fit, features and independent reviews that describe their own testing.

Battery life and quick charging
Beats claims up to 40 hours for Studio Pro and up to 50 hours for Solo 4. These are maximum manufacturer figures; actual runtime can vary with listening volume, settings and use. Beats also says a 10-minute Fast Fuel charge gives Solo 4 up to five hours of playback. Do not assume that short-charge result or the maximum runtime will match every listening session.
Wired audio and box contents
Beats says Studio Pro and Solo 4 support wired lossless audio over USB-C or 3.5 mm. For Solo 4, the listed box contents include a carrying case, USB-C cable and 3.5 mm audio cable. Check the current product listing for exact included accessories before purchase; the available information here does not establish the Beats 360’s specific wired connections or box contents.

How to compare prices before you buy
The official U.S. original prices provide a consistent list-price comparison: $349.99 for Beats 360, $299.99 for Studio Pro and $199.99 for Solo 4. They do not show today’s retailer pricing, stock, color availability or promotions. Check the exact model and seller at checkout, and compare current prices across retailers rather than assuming the catalogue price is the street price. If prices are close, revisit the features that matter most to you—especially fit, ANC and portability—instead of choosing by the model name alone.
