Several Android phones can beat the Galaxy S26 FE in published performance tests, but the evidence does not support treating all five phones often named in this comparison as faster. OnePlus 15R, Motorola Signature, Samsung Galaxy S25, and Xiaomi 17 are reported as stronger performance options; the Pixel 10 Pro’s cited Geekbench 6 scores are lower than the FE’s. Check the exact model, local availability, and comparable test results before choosing.
How much performance does the Galaxy S26 FE deliver?
Samsung announced the Galaxy S26 FE on August 27, 2026. Independent reviews identify its processor as the Exynos 2500. In Tom’s Guide’s 2026 Geekbench 6 test, the FE scored 2,444 single-core and 7,958 multi-core. Android Central’s separate 2026 test recorded 2,362 and 7,848, respectively. The difference between those FE results is a reminder that benchmark scores vary with test conditions; neither figure is a universal measure of how fast every task will feel.
Tom’s Guide’s results for the S26 family also show that a standard Galaxy S26 can outperform the FE in CPU benchmarks. Its Snapdragon variant scored 3,531 single-core and 10,778 multi-core, while its Exynos variant scored 3,197 and 11,065. Those are results from Tom’s Guide’s tests, not a guarantee that every S26 configuration or workload will produce the same gap.

Samsung UK lists the FE with a 6.7-inch FHD+ display, 120 Hz refresh rate, 4,900 mAh battery, and up to 29 hours of video playback. Samsung also promises up to seven OS upgrades and seven years of security updates. Those specifications and support commitments describe the UK product listing, not an independent performance assessment. Samsung Mobile Press describes a 3x optical zoom camera and 12 MP front camera.

Which alternatives have evidence of higher performance?
The following phones appear in BGR’s October 5, 2026 comparison. Its list is useful as a starting point, but the evidence is not equally strong for every model. Of the alternatives, only OnePlus 15R has a directly stated Geekbench 6 comparison in the supplied account that clearly exceeds Tom’s Guide’s FE result. The other performance claims are attributed to BGR’s comparisons and should be checked against the exact model and test before purchase.
OnePlus 15R
BGR reports that the OnePlus 15R uses a Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 with 12 GB RAM and 256 GB storage in the configuration it describes. It cites Tom’s Guide Geekbench 6 scores of 2,691 single-core and 9,502 multi-core—higher than Tom’s Guide’s Galaxy S26 FE results of 2,444 and 7,958. On those reported CPU benchmark figures, it is a clear performance alternative.

Availability is a substantial caveat: BGR said the phone was not available in North America or Europe at the time of its October 2026 article. That statement is time-sensitive, so confirm current availability in your country rather than assuming the phone can be bought locally. BGR also notes that the 15R lacks a telephoto camera, a trade-off if zoom photography matters.

BGR reports Snapdragon 8 Gen 5, 12 GB RAM and 256 GB storage for a starting configuration, with a 16 GB RAM and 512 GB storage option. It attributes a “60% better performance” claim to Beebom testing, but that percentage is not independently established by the evidence available here. Treat it as an attributed claim, not a verified head-to-head result against the S26 FE.

BGR describes a 165 Hz LTPO AMOLED display, 5,200 mAh battery, 90 W wired charging and 50 W wireless charging. It reports availability across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Latin America and Asia-Pacific. Confirm that the specific configuration is sold in your country and that its warranty and network compatibility fit your needs.
Samsung Galaxy S25
BGR identifies the Galaxy S25 as an older flagship with Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy and cites Geekbench and 3DMark comparisons above the FE. Because the source account does not provide the specific scores here, treat this as a reported comparison rather than a directly verified numerical gap. For a used or discounted device, compare the current local price and exact model, check remaining software support, and inspect battery condition if it is refurbished.

- The Galaxy S25 FE features a large, immersive Dynamic AMOLED display with smooth refresh rate and enhanced brightness, delivering vivid colors and sharp clarity whether you're streaming, browsing, or using it outdoors.
Xiaomi 17
BGR reports that the Xiaomi 17 uses Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 and cites PhoneArena Geekbench and graphics results above several competitors. The account does not provide exact scores for a direct FE comparison, so it supports considering the Xiaomi as a performance candidate, not a precise ranking against the FE. BGR describes it as difficult to buy in the United States; availability can change, and buyers importing it should confirm cellular-band compatibility, warranty coverage, seller reputation and software-update policy.

Does the Pixel 10 Pro outperform the Galaxy S26 FE?
Not on the cited Geekbench 6 CPU results. BGR reports Pixel 10 Pro scores of 2,333 single-core and 6,375 multi-core, both below Tom’s Guide’s Galaxy S26 FE results of 2,444 and 7,958. Those figures do not establish that the Pixel is more powerful in CPU benchmark performance.

The Pixel may still suit someone who prioritizes cameras, AI features or software experience. Those are different buying criteria from demonstrating higher CPU benchmark performance, and the cited scores do not settle which phone is better for every workload.
How should you compare phone performance fairly?
- Match the benchmark and source. Compare scores from the same test version and, where possible, the same reviewer. The FE’s results differ between Tom’s Guide and Android Central, so mixing results can exaggerate or obscure a gap.
- Separate CPU from graphics performance. Geekbench CPU scores do not by themselves establish gaming frame rates or GPU performance. A 3DMark or other graphics result answers a different question.
- Consider sustained use. A short benchmark result does not prove how a phone behaves during a long gaming session or heavy workload; the evidence cited here does not establish sustained thermal performance across these models.
- Compare the exact configuration and price. RAM, storage, region-specific model, current street price and warranty can change the value of an apparent performance upgrade.
- Weigh the rest of the phone. Camera hardware, battery, charging, display, software support and local service may matter more than a benchmark lead for your daily use.
Which phone should you choose?
If the goal is a higher published Geekbench 6 result than the Galaxy S26 FE, the OnePlus 15R has the clearest stated comparison in the available figures, subject to local availability. Motorola Signature and Xiaomi 17 are performance candidates based on attributed comparisons, while the Galaxy S25 is an older flagship whose current price and remaining support deserve particular scrutiny. The Pixel 10 Pro should not be labeled faster on the cited CPU scores. Before buying any of them, verify the current regional model, price, seller, compatibility and warranty.
Samsung’s own positioning is not a performance benchmark: Jay Kim, Samsung Electronics’ Executive Vice President and Head of Customer Experience Office for Mobile eXperience, said the FE was “purposefully designed to deliver the signature strengths of the Galaxy S series.” That statement describes Samsung’s intent, not an independent comparison of speed.
