Choose Bee Frontier if you want the least expensive, most flexible wearable. It costs $74.99, works as a wristband or clothing clip, and claims seven-plus days of battery life. Choose Bee Eclipse if your priority is phone use and calls: it is a $99.99-starting magnetic attachment, supports MagSafe, captures both sides of phone calls, and claims about three weeks of battery life.
Both devices turn conversations into summaries, insights, reminders and action items. Basic summaries, recaps and 14-day memory are included with the hardware. Bee Pro costs $11.99 per month after a 30-day trial for new customers and adds advanced integrations, unlimited recent summaries, suggested to-dos, daily memories, a personal chat assistant and other features.

What Bee does
Bee is an AI recording device designed to convert spoken conversations into useful information. When you activate capture, it processes the conversation into summaries, insights, reminders and action items. You can then search the resulting information in the Bee apps rather than trying to remember everything said in a meeting, appointment or casual conversation.
#1 Best Overall
- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
Amazon says Bee can connect with Gmail, Google Calendar, Microsoft Outlook, Apple HealthKit and photos. From discussed action items, it can draft follow-up emails and create calendar invitations. The system also supports voice notes, templates, daily insights and personalized goals.
Bee co-founder Maria de Lourdes Zollo describes the product as “the wearable AI that understands you.” That description is useful as a shorthand, but the practical value depends on whether automatic summaries and reminders fit your routine. The available product information does not establish independent long-term accuracy or reliability results, so treat the advertised capabilities as features rather than a guarantee that every conversation will be transcribed perfectly.

How capture works
A physical button starts and stops capture. A green LED provides a visible status signal. Frontier also includes controls for voice notes and bookmarking, allowing you to mark a moment that deserves attention later instead of relying entirely on an automatic summary.
Who should choose Frontier
- Choose it if $74.99 is your main budget limit.
- Choose it if you want the option of a wristband and a clothing clip.
- Choose it if a week-plus between charges matters more than a phone-mounted design.
- Choose it if your main use is everyday conversations, meetings, reminders or voice notes rather than phone calls.
Bee Eclipse: the phone-first alternative
What you get
Bee Eclipse starts at $99.99 on Amazon’s 2026 listing. It is a slim magnetic attachment designed to stay with your phone and supports MagSafe. Its advertised battery life is about three weeks, substantially longer than Frontier’s seven-plus-day claim, although actual runtime will vary with use.
Eclipse has the same core Bee functions: conversation summaries, search, personalization, language support, integrations and mobile apps. Its defining feature is phone-call capture. Amazon says Eclipse can capture both sides of a phone call, making it the more natural choice for people whose important conversations happen over the phone.
How call capture differs
Starting a phone recording is not silent or automatic. Amazon says Bee prompts you to obtain permission from call participants each time recording starts. The device also uses a button and visible indicator so people can see when capture is active. You remain responsible for following the recording-consent laws that apply where you and the other participants are located.

- Sleek 7-in-1 USB-C Hub: Features an HDMI port, two USB-A 3.0 ports, and a USB-C data port, each providing 5Gbps transfer speeds. It also includes a USB-C PD input port for charging up to 100W and dual SD and TF card slots, all in a compact design.
- Flawless 4K@60Hz Video with HDMI: Delivers exceptional clarity and smoothness with its 4K@60Hz HDMI port, making it ideal for high-definition presentations and entertainment. (Note: Only the HDMI port supports video projection; the USB-C port is for data transfer only.)
- Double Up on Efficiency: The two USB-A 3.0 ports and a USB-C port support a fast 5Gbps data rate, significantly boosting your transfer speeds and improving productivity.
- Fast and Reliable 85W Charging: Offers high-capacity, speedy charging for laptops up to 85W, so you spend less time tethered to an outlet and more time being productive.
- What You Get: Anker USB-C Hub (7-in-1), welcome guide, 18-month warranty, and our friendly customer service.
Who should choose Eclipse
- Choose it if you do not want to wear a wrist device.
- Choose it if phone calls are a primary source of notes or follow-up tasks.
- Choose it if roughly three weeks of advertised battery life is more useful than Frontier’s lower price.
- Choose it if your phone supports the magnetic attachment setup you intend to use, including MagSafe where applicable.
What works without Bee Pro
Purchasing either device includes conversation summaries, recaps and 14-day memory at no additional cost. That makes the hardware usable without an ongoing subscription for people who only need recent summaries and basic recall.
| Feature area | Included with the device | Bee Pro, $11.99/month |
|---|---|---|
| Conversation summaries and recaps | Yes | Yes |
| Memory | 14-day memory | Unlimited recent summaries |
| Core search and personalization | Yes | Yes, with additional assistant features |
| Amazon.com and Alexa+ integrations | Not included in the basic allowance | Included |

| Suggested to-dos | Not included | Included |
| Daily memories | Not included | Included |

Bee Pro costs $11.99 per month. New customers receive 30 days free, after which the monthly charge applies unless you cancel. Because the subscription is optional for the basic summary and 14-day-memory experience, estimate the total cost over the period you expect to own the device rather than comparing hardware prices alone.
How to use Bee for a conversation
- Wear or attach the device. Put Frontier on the wrist or clothing, or attach Eclipse magnetically to a compatible phone.
- Start capture deliberately. Press the device button. Confirm the visible indicator, such as Frontier’s green LED, shows that capture is active.
- Record the conversation or a voice note. For a phone call with Eclipse, obtain permission from the participants when Bee prompts you.
- Stop capture. Press the button again when the conversation ends. Stopping manually limits unintended recording.
- Review the output in the Bee app. Look for the summary, insights, reminders, action items and any bookmarked moments.
- Turn action items into work. Where your account and plan support it, Bee can draft a follow-up email or create a calendar invitation from a discussed task.
- Correct important details. Treat names, dates, commitments and sensitive information as items to verify before sending an email or changing a calendar.
Privacy, recording and data controls
Amazon states: “No audio is ever stored. Audio is processed into insights in real time and deleted after processing.” In practical terms, Bee’s workflow is intended to retain the resulting transcripts and insights rather than a permanent audio file.
Recommended Free Tools
Amazon’s privacy explanation says transcripts and insights are encrypted with keys created and controlled by the customer, and that Amazon cannot access the content by default. Users can delete transcripts and summaries. Capture is controlled by a physical button and a visible indicator, so the device is not designed to record invisibly.

For the lowest upfront cost
Buy Bee Frontier. Its $74.99 price is $25 less than Eclipse’s $99.99 starting price, while retaining the shared summary, search, personalization, language and app features.
For calls and a phone-only setup
Buy Bee Eclipse. Its magnetic, MagSafe-compatible design and two-sided phone-call capture address the use case Frontier does not emphasize.
For the longest advertised battery interval
Buy Bee Eclipse if the roughly three-week claim is more important than price. Frontier’s seven-plus-day claim is still enough for many weekly charging routines, but it is the shorter of the two advertised intervals.
Best Value
- 5-in-1 Connectivity: Equipped with a 4K HDMI port, a 5 Gbps USB-C data port, two 5 Gbps USB-A ports, and a USB C 100W PD-IN port. Note: The USB C 100W PD-IN port supports only charging and does not support data transfer devices such as headphones or speakers.
- Powerful Pass-Through Charging: Supports up to 85W pass-through charging so you can power up your laptop while you use the hub. Note: Pass-through charging requires a charger (not included). Note: To achieve full power for iPad, we recommend using a 45W wall charger.
- Transfer Files in Seconds: Move files to and from your laptop at speeds of up to 5 Gbps via the USB-C and USB-A data ports. Note: The USB C 5Gbps Data port does not support video output.
- HD Display: Connect to the HDMI port to stream or mirror content to an external monitor in resolutions of up to 4K@30Hz. Note: The USB-C ports do not support video output.
- What You Get: Anker 332 USB-C Hub (5-in-1), welcome guide, our worry-free 18-month warranty, and friendly customer service.
For wrist-free flexibility
Eclipse avoids wearing a device on your body. Frontier remains the better fit if you prefer a clip but want the option to move the device between clothing and your wrist.
For occasional use without a subscription
Either model can work. The purchase includes summaries, recaps and 14-day memory. Bee Pro becomes relevant when you need unlimited recent summaries, advanced integrations, suggested to-dos, daily memories, the personal chat assistant, templates or the desktop app.
Important limitations to consider
- Battery figures are claims, not guarantees. Frontier is advertised at seven-plus days and Eclipse at about three weeks; recording frequency, connectivity and other usage can change actual runtime.
- Basic memory is limited. Without Bee Pro, the included memory is 14 days rather than unlimited recent summaries.
- Call recording requires consent. Eclipse’s ability to capture both sides of a call does not override local recording laws or participant permission.
- Summaries need checking. The product information does not provide independent long-term accuracy testing, so verify important dates, names, numbers and commitments.
- Some integrations are subscription features. Do not assume every advertised integration or assistant function is included with the hardware purchase.
- Water resistance has limits. Frontier is listed as IP67 water resistant, but that rating is not a reason to wear it in every water environment or ignore the manufacturer’s care guidance.
Bottom-line buying decision
Bee Frontier is the sensible default for most buyers: it is cheaper, can be worn on the wrist or clipped to clothing, and still provides the central Bee experience. Bee Eclipse is worth the extra $25 when your priority is a phone-centered setup, two-sided phone-call capture or a longer advertised interval between charges. In either case, start with the included 14-day-memory plan and add Bee Pro only if its unlimited summaries, integrations, assistant and productivity features solve a problem you actually have.
