Gogo has a long history of providing Wi-Fi to commercial airlines, but old partner lists are not a reliable guide to which aircraft use it today. Delta currently calls its service “Wi-Fi Onboard (formerly Gogo),” and its 24-hour pass applies to Gogo-equipped U.S. domestic flights. That does not mean every Delta aircraft uses Gogo. Check your airline’s current Wi-Fi information and the portal on your specific flight before you rely on a provider, price, or connection being available.
Which airlines have used Gogo Wi-Fi?
Gogo’s January 2014 announcement named Aeromexico, American Airlines, Air Canada, AirTran Airways, Alaska Airlines, Delta Air Lines, Japan Airlines, United Airlines, US Airways, and Virgin America as commercial connectivity partners. This is a historical list, not a roster of airlines whose fleets currently use Gogo. AirTran, US Airways, and Virgin America appear because they were named in that dated announcement; the list does not mean they operate as current independent airlines. Gogo’s 2014 announcement described service on equipped aircraft.
Gogo’s 2019 annual report later named Delta, American, Virgin America, Alaska, US Airways, Frontier, and AirTran among long-term commercial airline relationships. It also described trials on a small number of United and Air Canada aircraft. Those are historical company disclosures, not evidence of present-day fleet installations. Gogo’s 2019 annual report is useful for understanding that history, but it should not be used to predict the Wi-Fi on a flight booked now.

Does Delta still use Gogo Wi-Fi?
Delta’s current service page calls its onboard service “Wi-Fi Onboard (formerly Gogo).” Its terms for a 24-hour pass specify that it covers Gogo-equipped U.S. domestic Delta flights. Together, these details show that the former Gogo name and Gogo-equipped aircraft remain relevant in some Delta contexts; neither source says every aircraft in Delta’s fleet has Gogo. Delta’s terms state: “Use of the Wi-Fi Onboard (formerly Gogo) In-Flight Internet service is subject to terms of use available at wifionboard.com.” See Delta’s onboard Wi-Fi page and the 24-hour pass terms.

Why an airline’s Wi-Fi provider can change
Airlines can install or roll out different connectivity systems across aircraft over time. Alaska Airlines says it is rolling out Starlink Wi-Fi during 2026. Its connectivity information includes an aircraft-specific Wi-Fi chart updated September 25, 2026, and says the chart is refreshed monthly. A rollout does not establish that every aircraft has already switched, so check Alaska’s current connectivity details for the aircraft you expect to fly.
More broadly, an airline’s historic relationship with Gogo does not establish the provider, equipment, or service available on a particular aircraft today. Fleet installations and service terms can differ by aircraft, route, and date.

How to check whether your flight has Gogo Wi-Fi
- Check the airline’s current Wi-Fi page. Look for aircraft-specific information, route limitations, rollout updates, and the service name. An old partner list is not enough to confirm coverage on your flight.
- Check access terms that apply to your trip. Confirm whether you need a pass or account and whether the pass covers your route. For example, Delta’s 24-hour pass terms limit it to Gogo-equipped U.S. domestic flights.
- Confirm onboard. On the aircraft, check the available Wi-Fi network and its portal. The service or portal shown on the flight is a practical way to verify what is offered there.
- Plan around uncertainty. Do not assume Wi-Fi is available, that a particular provider serves the flight, or that speed will meet a specific need just because the airline offers Wi-Fi on some aircraft.
What Gogo provides today
Gogo’s current company materials focus on connectivity for business aviation and military and government customers, with systems installed for aircraft owners, operators, and fleets. Its ATG product page describes coverage across the contiguous United States, parts of Canada, and Alaska, and says the system is best suited to operators flying predominantly in North America. These are descriptions of Gogo’s business aviation service, not a promise of coverage or availability on commercial airline flights. See Gogo’s company overview and its ATG Network Solutions page.
Gogo also reported completing more than 30 hours of flight testing across almost 20 routes for its 5G ATG network. The company said tests delivered more than 80 Mbps download and 20 Mbps upload and supported simultaneous streaming and browsing. Those are Gogo-reported test results from 2025, not typical or guaranteed speeds for airline passengers. Gogo’s 2025 announcement describes the test campaign.

For satellite connectivity in business aviation, Gogo reported shipping more than 300 Galileo FDX and HDX antennas, with 99 activated as of December 31, 2025. Its 2026 release describes FDX as the larger product for large jets and HDX as a smaller form factor, and says Galileo uses low-Earth-orbit satellite connectivity. These are business aviation deployment figures, not commercial airline fleet statistics. See Gogo’s year-end 2025 product update.
