For a road trip, the most useful charging setup depends on where and how many devices need power: use an in-car charger while the vehicle outlet is available, and carry a power bank for stops away from the car. These five Anker options cover three different in-car needs and two portable-power roles. Their wattages are manufacturer ratings, not independent test results, and the cited listings were checked in 2026; confirm the model and availability for your region before buying.
Choose based on how you travel
Start with the charging situation, not the largest wattage on a box. Count the devices you expect to charge at once, check whether they use USB-C or USB-A, and consider whether you need power when you leave the vehicle. A car charger draws from the vehicle outlet; a power bank can charge devices away from it.
- Several devices in the car: Look at the three-port, 167.5W car charger.
- Less cable clutter: The 75W Nano has a built-in retractable cable.
- Two phones or similar devices: The 40W PowerDrive III Duo is a simpler, lower-output option.
- Charging during stops: Choose a power bank, and distinguish its battery-mode output from any wall-charger rating.
Three Anker car chargers for different needs
1. Anker Car Charger (167.5W, 3 Ports), model B2737
This is the most flexible pick here for a driver and passengers charging several devices at once. Anker’s EU listing specifies two USB-C ports rated up to 100W and 45W, plus a USB-A port rated up to 22.5W, with up to three devices connected. It includes a 3.3-foot USB-C cable. Those are maximum port ratings; they do not mean every connected device receives its port’s maximum at the same time. Check the exact regional listing and your devices’ charging requirements. Anker’s B2737 specifications
2. Anker Nano Car Charger (75W, built-in retractable cable), model A2738
Choose this if having a cable ready without leaving a loose one in the cabin matters more than having three connections. Anker’s EU product page lists a 2.3-foot retractable cable, 75W total output, USB-C output up to 45W, and charging for two devices. Its lower total output and fewer connections make it less suited to a car full of devices than the B2737. Anker’s A2738 specifications
#1 Best Overall
- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
3. Anker PowerDrive III Duo USB-C Car Charger, model A2724
For two USB-C devices when high-power laptop charging is not the goal, the PowerDrive III Duo is a straightforward option. Anker specifies two USB-C ports, each up to 20W, for 40W total output, and 12V/24V input. Confirm that your vehicle outlet matches the stated input and that your devices use USB-C. 4. Anker Power Bank (10K, Fusion, Built-In Cable), model A1637
The Fusion combines a 10,000mAh power bank with an AC plug and built-in USB-C cable, and Anker lists 30W charging. Plug it into a suitable wall outlet when stopped, or use it as a portable battery away from an outlet. Anker says it works with selected laptops; that is not a claim of compatibility with every laptop. The product page also notes that older iPhones need a separate USB-C-to-Lightning cable. 5. Anker 733 Power Bank (GaNPrime PowerCore 65W), model A1651
The 733 combines a wall charger and battery backup, but its output depends on the mode. Anker’s user guide gives a 10,000mAh cell capacity and up to 65W total output in wall-charger mode; in battery mode, USB-C is rated up to 30W. Use the battery-mode figure when judging what it can supply away from an outlet, rather than treating the wall-charger rating as its portable-battery output. Anker’s A1651 user guide

Check fit, cables, and availability before you go
- Confirm the vehicle input: The A2724 is specified for 12V/24V input. For other models, verify the relevant regional product listing and your vehicle outlet rather than assuming compatibility.
- Match ports to devices: Check USB-C versus USB-A needs, charging requirements, and which port powers each device. A built-in or included cable is convenient only if its connector fits.
- Keep car and battery roles distinct: A car charger serves devices while the vehicle outlet is available; a power bank is the option for time away from the car.
- Check region and stock: The B2737 and A2738 specifications cited here are from Anker EU pages, while the A2724 and A1637 pages are US listings. Regional listings are not interchangeable recommendations, and inventory can change.
