Take Empyrean Feathers, also called Empyrean Traces, to the Monolith for their matching region. There, use the Resonance interface to advance Monolith progression and claim its rewards. They are mainly exploration collectibles for progression, not ordinary items you activate directly.
How to use Empyrean Feathers
- Collect traces while exploring. Empyrean Feathers are found in the open world.
- Unlock the relevant Monolith. A guide dated 6 October 2026 reports that faction Monolith use opens after reaching level 16 and completing the Empyrean Monolith main quest. Follow the quest and confirm the unlock in your character’s game interface.
- Go to the Monolith for the trace’s region. Interact with it and open Resonance to apply the matching traces toward progression.
- Claim the available rewards. Check the Monolith reward panel; rewards depend on the track and its current state.
The collectible-to-Monolith mechanic is described consistently by guides, but the reported unlock details and rewards come from secondary sources rather than official game documentation. ShowGamer’s guide and Selphie1999Gaming’s guide both describe the progression system.

Match the trace to its regional Monolith
Keep regional progression separate: use a trace with the Monolith track it belongs to rather than assuming one region’s collectible advances another. Guides describe Reshanta/Ereshkigal as a separate, PvP-oriented track from home-region progression. Check the live interface to identify the correct destination and rewards for your character. SmartCDKeys’ guide discusses the separate track.

ShowGamer reports that the main or home Monolith progression reaches level 30. Treat this as a guide-reported cap, not a guarantee that every track or current game version has the same limit; the Monolith screen is the practical authority for your character.
Reshanta/Ereshkigal progression
Do not transfer assumptions about home-region trace use or rewards to this separate track. Use the matching regional Monolith and inspect its Resonance panel before spending collectibles.
What rewards can Monolith Resonance give?
Reported reward examples include Revelation Amulet enhancement scrolls, Soul Codex resets, Unique Amplify Stone fragments, titles, and permanent attributes. These are examples from October 2026 guides, not a promise that every region or Resonance milestone grants each reward. Review the in-game reward panel for the exact items and milestones on your track.

What to do with surplus feathers
Guides disagree about surplus Empyrean Traces in the Global version. One describes converting them through Substance Morph for Power Shards, while another advises holding leftovers until the active conversion is verified. Open the current Substance Morph and Monolith interfaces and confirm the eligible item, outcome, and region before converting; do not discard extras based on a guide alone. ExpCarry’s guide covers the surplus-use question.
Empyrean Feathers are not Wing Featherdown
Empyrean Trace Feathers and Wing Featherdown are separate systems, despite the similar feather terminology. For Monolith progression, use the Empyrean Feathers you collected as traces; do not confuse them with Wing Featherdown. ExpCarry distinguishes the two.
