To unlock Yuji melee in Lineage Piece, travel to Jujutsu Highschool, check the Yuji NPC’s current purchase list, summon and defeat the Yuji boss for its materials, then return to buy the melee. The reported price is 1,000,000 Coins and 6,500 Gems, but sources disagree on the required material counts—so use the NPC checklist in your current game version before farming.
Yuji melee requirements
Two guides and a fighting-style index report the same currency cost, but they do not agree on how many materials you need. The detailed guide was updated August 25, 2026; the other guide was published in September 2026, and the index is undated.

The counts are reported by NerdsChalk’s detailed unlock guide, SportsRant’s Update 12 guide, and the Fighting Styles index. None provides a current official NPC checklist or direct in-game verification establishing which material totals are live. A materials reference says its official Trello export was dated August 24, 2026, but does not list sources for Black Flash Spark or Divergent Energy; it does not resolve the discrepancy (materials reference).
Before spending time farming, speak to the Yuji NPC near spawn at Jujutsu Highschool and read its checklist. Use those displayed quantities as your target rather than assuming either published list is definitive.

How to summon and farm Yuji
- Open the teleport menu and travel to Jujutsu Highschool. The detailed guide places the Yuji NPC, Sorcerer Summoner, boss, and mastery NPC on this island.
- Check the Yuji NPC’s purchase requirements near spawn so you know which materials your current version requests.
- Go to the Sorcerer Summoner and choose Yuji. The detailed guide reports a fee of 2 Cursed Orbs and 750 Gems per summon.
- Defeat the summoned Yuji and collect the required drops: Black Flash Sparks, Divergent Energy, and Cursed Shards. The guide does not state drop rates, so there is no supported estimate for how many summons or defeats you will need.
- Repeat the summon and defeat cycle until you have the quantities shown by the NPC.
Where to buy Yuji melee
Return to the Yuji NPC near spawn at Jujutsu Highschool. If you have the materials and the reported currency cost of 1,000,000 Coins and 6,500 Gems, interact with the NPC to purchase the melee. The currency figures are consistent across the cited guides, while the material totals are not.
Yuji mastery requirements
Mastery is a separate progression step after obtaining Yuji melee. The detailed guide says you must unlock Gojo first, then speak with the Yuji [Mastery] NPC near the running track. It lists these objectives:
