The Squall Stone is in a chest in the Central Sewers, reached from the Executioner’s Pulpit Beacon in Prisoners’ Domain. It makes projectiles spin after they hit a target; the exact upgrade values and sidearm compatibility should be checked in your current game build.
How to reach the Squall Stone
The route below is reported by Nerd’s Chalk in a guide updated August 25, 2026. It is a secondary-guide route, not an official map or firsthand gameplay account.
- Cleanse the Executioner’s Pulpit Beacon. Find it in Prisoners’ Domain, near the Tishina’s Confessor fight. The guide says cleansing it opens the route to the Central Sewers.
- Take the elevator beside the beacon. Ride it down into the sewers.
- Follow the main sewer route. Move through the tunnels, breaking barriers and dealing with enemies along the way.
- Work through the gate-and-lever rooms. Shoot the target to raise the first gate, then pull the subsequent levers to open doors.
- Clear the challenge room. Defeat the enemy group and press the room’s buttons to reveal the way forward.
- Open the chest in the side chamber. The guide’s quick-location summary places it near the iron-maiden ghost room.
The chest is in the Central Sewers, not on the beacon platform. The correct item spelling is Squall Stone; “Squail Stone” is a misspelling.

What the Squall Stone does
An Open Beta client-text snapshot identified as build 24459107 and checked August 18, 2026, describes the effect this way: “Projectiles spin in place for a duration after hitting their target.” That wording establishes the basic behavior for that beta snapshot; it does not confirm the item’s later retail balance.

Nerd’s Chalk reports the following values. The guide also notes disagreement in rank listings about whether a fourth tier exists, so treat both the figures and rank count as guide-reported rather than independently verified. Check the current Tarforge or item screen before spending upgrade materials.

An unofficial, fan-maintained Mortal Shell II database lists the Squall Stone as compatible with the Salvaged Trebuchaxe. Treat that as a database-listed fit, not a guarantee for every current game version; check the item’s in-game compatibility display before planning a build.

Because the effect happens after impact, the stone’s practical appeal is its lingering projectile behavior. Nerd’s Chalk suggests it may suit sidearms that put more shots on one target, but that is editorial guidance, not a measured performance comparison. No particular weapon pairing can be called best on the available evidence.
