For the Windows Steam version of STAR WARS: Galactic Racer, open File Explorer and enter %USERPROFILE%AppDataLocalStarWarsGalacticRacerSavedSaveGames in the address bar. Open the folder named with your Steam numeric ID to find the .sav files. This location is specific to Steam on Windows; an Epic Games Store save path has not been verified.
Find the Windows Steam save folder

Open File Explorer, click the address bar, and enter
%USERPROFILE%AppDataLocalStarWarsGalacticRacerSavedSaveGames. Press Enter. Alternatively, pressWindows+R, paste the same path, and press Enter. -
Open the subfolder named with your Steam numeric ID. Steam’s cloud metadata identifies the save files in this folder as

The equivalent expanded path is C:Users<Windows Username>AppDataLocalStarWarsGalacticRacerSavedSaveGames<Steam ID>. The AppData folder is hidden by default in ordinary folder browsing, but entering the environment-variable path directly avoids having to reveal hidden folders. The Steam location and file pattern are corroborated by Prima Games and SteamDB’s Steam Cloud metadata.

Back up your local game data safely
To keep a separate local copy, copy the entire StarWarsGalacticRacer folder from %USERPROFILE%AppDataLocal to another location. Copy it rather than moving, editing, or deleting the original files. The game-specific guide notes that the folder contains multiple subfolders for progress and user data; it also identifies SavedConfig as the location for Engine.ini and GameUserSettings.ini. Those configuration files are separate from the save files.
Steam lists Steam Cloud as a feature for the game. The guide describes progress uploading after the game closes and downloading on another device. A separate local copy remains useful as a backup; cloud sync does not identify where an Epic Games Store installation keeps its local saves. Steam and Epic Games Store paths are not interchangeable
The path above is documented for the Windows Steam version, including its Steam-ID subfolder. Do not assume that the same path or folder naming applies to the Epic Games Store version. The game-specific guide mentions cloud saves for both storefronts but supplies a local directory only for Steam. Epic’s general save-file support page says locations vary by game and recommends contacting the developer if a game’s save cannot be found. It does not establish a Galactic Racer-specific Epic path.

Game and platform context
STAR WARS: Galactic Racer released for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S on October 6, 2026, according to the StarWars.com announcement. The official Steam listing identifies Fuse Games as developer and Secret Mode as publisher. The save-folder instructions here concern the PC Windows Steam version, not the console editions.
