Area names vary among guides: some place the item in Seeping Mire or Glutted Mire. The sources do not establish one canonical name for the village and its wider region, so use the beacon, first swamp courtyard, and offering chest as your landmarks.
How to unlock the offering chest
- Start at Widow’s Overlook and follow the route toward the Mushroom Village Gate beacon.
- Cleanse the beacon. The walkthrough says this opens the corrupted gate leading toward Sunken Village.
- Enter the first courtyard and clear its enemies before approaching the chest.
- Inspect the chest to see how many offerings it still needs.
- Light the candle altars around the courtyard until the displayed counter is satisfied. The walkthrough identifies one altar by wooden steps and another on a broken pillar. If the chest requires a third offering, look for the caged altar; break the cage and defeat the enemy there.
- Return to the chest and collect Siegebreaker’s Stone.
Why guides give different candle counts
The NerdsChalk walkthrough reports that many players see a two-offering requirement, while some see three. PowerPyx and MortalShell2.games describe three candles. Rather than assuming either count applies to every player, follow the chest’s in-game counter.

Siegebreaker’s Stone is categorized as a Support Tarstone and improves stagger damage from ranged attacks. It is relevant if your build uses ranged attacks to build stagger; the item references describe a stagger effect, not an increase to raw damage.
