Horsetail Stem is found in the Bridge Area in Grounded 2. Bring a Tier 2 Omni-Axe to harvest plants on land or a Tier 2 Omni-Clipper for plants growing out of water.
Where to find Horsetail Stem
The Horsetail Stem item entry identifies the Bridge Area as its location, with plants growing both on land and out of water. It does not give exact coordinates or named landmarks, so use the Bridge Area as your search area rather than relying on a specific map pin. The community wiki’s Horsetail Stem entry is the source for the location and gathering requirements; because game details can change with patches, verify them in your current build if a tool does not work.

Into the Abyss added new locations and underwater base building, providing context for gathering resources in and around water. The official update announcement does not specify when Horsetail Stem was first added.
Which tool to bring
| Plant location | Required tool |
|---|---|
| On land in the Bridge Area | Tier 2 Omni-Axe |
| Growing out of water in the Bridge Area | Tier 2 Omni-Clipper |
Choose the tool for where the plant is growing: the item entry distinguishes land specimens from those growing out of water. It does not state harvest yield or respawn timing.
