The best design-inspiration site depends on what you are designing. Use a full-site gallery to study visual direction, an app library to examine screens and flows, a portfolio platform to discover creative approaches, or a focused gallery to find a specific component. This guide groups 30 resources by that job rather than claiming a universal winner; the descriptions reflect published directory and product-page information, not hands-on testing.

Choose the right kind of reference first

A polished screenshot can suggest a visual direction, but it does not necessarily show how a live interface behaves. Match the source to the question you need to answer:

  • Whole website or visual direction: Browse full-site galleries and award showcases.
  • App screen, onboarding, checkout, or flow: Use product-screen libraries and user-flow references.
  • Creative approaches and portfolios: Explore work-sharing and portfolio directories, then verify functional details in the live product where possible.
  • One component or visual constraint: Use a focused gallery for navigation, footers, dark interfaces, or design-system components.

There is no independent comparative study here establishing a single “best” resource. The useful choice is the one whose references resemble the object and decision in front of you.

Websites for full-site and landing-page inspiration

Use these when you want to study a complete site, a marketing page, or a broader visual style.

Broad website galleries and showcases

  • Siteinspire: Curated web and interactive work. Browse by style, type, subject, and platform; its category counts change over time.
  • Land-book: Curated website-design inspiration.
  • Awwwards: Award-oriented web design and developer showcase. Dribbble’s guide describes submissions as judged by industry experts.
  • Godly: Hand-picked web design inspiration.
  • Httpster: Website showcase.
  • CSS Design Awards: Website awards.
  • Best Website Gallery: Curated website gallery.
  • SiteSee: Curated modern website gallery.
  • Recent: Recent web, interface, and interaction design.
  • Webzooo: Website gallery organized by brand color.

One-page and landing-page references

  • One Page Love: Inspiration for one-page websites.
  • Lapa Ninja: Landing-page examples. The directory describes daily updates and 7,000+ examples; that is a changing directory claim, not a fixed total.
  • Landingfolio: Landing-page designs, components, and templates.
  • SaaS Landing Page: SaaS landing-page designs arranged by section.

Websites for real app screens, flows, and interface patterns

When the design question concerns product behavior or a particular screen, use references organized around interfaces and user journeys rather than relying only on marketing-site showcases.

  • Mobbin: Mobile and web app screens, UI elements, and user flows. Its product page says new content is added weekly. At retrieval in 2026, the page displayed 1,428 apps, 621,500+ screens, and 323,900 flows; these are live counters that can change, not durable industry statistics.
  • Page Flows: Product user flows recorded as video, according to the directory listing.
  • UI Sources: App-flow and UX-pattern references.
  • Screenlane: Mobile and web UI inspiration organized by category.
  • Pttrns: Mobile UI and design patterns.
  • Refero: Product and UI design examples.
  • Nicely Done: SaaS and web-app UI patterns.
  • The Component Gallery: Interface components from real-world design-system examples, as described by Dribbble’s guide.

For a decision that depends on interaction—such as how an error state appears or how checkout progresses—look for a flow or inspect the live product. A static image alone cannot establish behavior.

Websites for portfolios and creative work

These platforms help you discover how designers present projects and explore different visual approaches. Individual submissions are not independently evaluated by this list.

  • Dribbble: A work-sharing and discovery platform often used as a “show and tell” destination. Treat a concept image as visual inspiration, not proof of a working interface.
  • Behance: Creative project showcase and discovery.
  • Maxibestof: Portfolio website directory.
  • Cosmos: A place to save and curate creative references.

Websites for a specific component or visual direction

When you know the element you need, a narrow gallery can make browsing more relevant than a broad showcase.

How to turn inspiration into a design decision

  1. State the question. For example: “How do other sites organize pricing?” or “What does a useful mobile onboarding flow look like?”
  2. Choose a matching reference type. Use a full-site gallery for overall composition, a product library for screens and journeys, or a component gallery for one interface element.
  3. Compare several examples. Look for recurring patterns and meaningful differences rather than copying the first attractive reference.
  4. Check context and behavior. Where the decision is functional, inspect the live site or flow if available; a showcase image may omit states and transitions.
  5. Adapt, do not transplant. Fit the pattern to your users, content, platform, and constraints.

A supplementary print reference

The Web Designer’s Idea Book by Patrick McNeil is an optional physical reference, not a current website gallery. Its publisher describes more than 700 website examples organized around layout, color, and style, and dates the edition to September 8, 2008. Those examples may be useful for broad visual study, but the book’s age makes it a poor substitute for checking current interfaces.

What to keep in mind about these listings

Descriptions and availability can change, and this guide does not establish that every listed service is active, accessible in every region, or equivalent in its access limits. Check a resource’s current features and terms before relying on it. Siteinspire’s filters and category counts are live page details; Mobbin’s counters are volatile; and Lapa Ninja’s example total is a directory claim that may change.

Product prices and availability are accurate as of the date/time indicated and are subject to change. Any price and availability information displayed on Amazon at the time of purchase will apply.
