Black Needle is earned in Sester’s Bastion, at Sester’s Gate in Mammon. Reach and cleanse the Sester’s Gate Beacon to open the dungeon, cross its bell-platform section, then defeat the Twin Sesters and the Stray Sester. The Stray Sester is the final encounter and awards the spear.
Where Black Needle is located
The weapon is inside Sester’s Bastion, in the Sester’s Gate area of Mammon. The route begins in the Outskirts of Mammon and leads to the Sester’s Gate Beacon; cleansing the beacon is the practical access step described by the guides. See the equipment database and the guides from NerdsChalk and All Things How.
What you need before entering
The available route guides do not establish a character-level threshold, required stat, or separate key item for Black Needle. The practical requirements they describe are reaching and cleansing the Sester’s Gate Beacon, entering Sester’s Bastion, and completing the encounters on the route.
How to get Black Needle
- Reach Sester’s Gate in Mammon. Start from the Outskirts of Mammon and follow the route to the Sester’s Gate Beacon.
- Cleanse the beacon and enter Sester’s Bastion. This is the access step identified by the guides.
- Cross the bell-platform section. The route involves bells that raise stone walkways. All Things How describes shooting five bells, but the sources do not establish an exact room-by-room path or shooting order.
- Defeat the Twin Sesters. Continue through the Bastion to this encounter.
- Defeat the Stray Sester. This is the final encounter in the documented sequence; defeating it awards Black Needle. GameSpot’s weapon-location guide also identifies the Stray Sester as the drop source.
What kind of weapon Black Needle is
The equipment database describes Black Needle as a fast spear with long reach and lists an associated ability, Needle Storm. That description is useful context for what the reward offers, but does not change the acquisition route.

Patch and platform context
The equipment database says its retail roster and routes were checked August 30, 2026. Its notes describe PC balance through the Week 1 Update, say the console rollout was still pending at that time, and report that Balance Patch 1 improved targeting and tracking on several Black Needle attacks. Those are dated notes, not confirmation that PC and console versions currently have identical balance or availability.
