BGMI secret locations are mode-specific, not permanent map landmarks. As of October 18, 2026, the reliable way to find one is to confirm the active version and themed mode on the pre-match screen, then use that mode’s map markers. Ancient Secret: Arise and the Naruto locations described in older guides have already ended, while Midnight Hunters is listed for Erangel through November 16, 2026 in a community reproduction of patch notes that still needs in-game verification.
This guide separates confirmed official features from historical and secondary-source material so you do not waste a drop looking for a room that is no longer loaded.
How to check whether a BGMI secret location is available
Before jumping, open the event or mode panel and read the dates shown for the current client version. A location can disappear even when the base map remains available. The same Erangel map, for example, has hosted Ancient Secret: Arise, Naruto collaboration landmarks and Midnight Hunters, each with different buildings and interactions.
- Check the version and mode name. Do not rely on a screenshot or guide title alone. The mode must be enabled in your current BGMI client.
- Confirm the map. Ancient Secret used Erangel, Miramar and Livik, while the documented Steel Ark feature belonged to a separate update. Midnight Hunters is listed for Erangel.
- Look at the in-game map after the lobby loads. Ruins and other event points may have markers or changed building silhouettes. If no event marker or themed structure appears, assume the feature is unavailable in that match.
- Drop near a named landmark, not an unverified coordinate. The available material does not establish reliable grid coordinates for the Midnight Hunters points.
- Test the interaction safely. Event objects can require a weapon, a timed trigger or an enemy encounter. Carry basic loot before investigating.
KRAFTON’s original Ancient Secret notes summarize the map-first approach: “Each ruin has its own secret and you can check the location of these ruins from the map.” Read the official BGMI v2.1 patch notes for that wording and the original mechanics.

Ancient Secret: Arise — the original ruin hunt
Ancient Secret: Arise is the best-documented BGMI secret-location system, but it is not a permanent feature. KRAFTON’s v2.1 notes applied the themed mode to Erangel, Miramar and Livik, with noticeably fewer ruins on Miramar and Livik than on Erangel. Ruin positions were visible from the map, making the map screen the intended discovery tool rather than a hidden coordinate list.
What happens at a ruin
Ruins were guarded by mummy enemies and flying monsters. Defeating them could produce item drops, so the sites were both exploration points and combat contests. The notes also describe a random sandstorm zone appearing in a city and a scarab charm, showing that the mode changed match events beyond the buildings themselves.
Jackal Ruins puzzle
Jackal Ruins contained a puzzle. Completing it awarded a treasure box, which made the location worth contesting even after the initial enemies were cleared. The official notes establish the puzzle and reward, but do not provide a universal step sequence that remains valid across later versions. If the mode returns, follow the on-screen interaction prompts rather than an old video’s button order.
Scarab Ruins and beetle drops
Scarab Ruins offered a different interaction: scarab beetles could be caught for item drops. This is not the same mechanic as the Jackal puzzle, so an old guide that calls every ruin a puzzle location is oversimplifying the mode.

When Ancient Secret returned
BGMI’s v4.3 notes scheduled an Ancient Secret: Arise return on Erangel from April 8, 2026, at 07:30 IST through May 19, 2026, at 02:29:59 IST. That window ended before the current date. Treat screenshots from that run as historical unless the live event panel announces another return. The schedule is in the official BGMI v4.3.0 patch notes.
Steel Ark Command Room — a shipboard Easter egg
The v3.2 Mecha Fusion update introduced Steel Ark, described in the official notes as a large space warship that appears during a match. Its Command Room contains a system players can hack as an Easter egg. This is a distinct event feature, not a room hidden inside a normal Erangel building.
The practical limitation is availability. The official v3.2 update notes document the ship and the hackable Command Room, but they do not establish that Steel Ark remains in the October 2026 rotation. Check the current event list and watch for the ship’s event prompt before planning a drop around it.

Naruto collaboration locations — useful history, not a current guarantee
A third-party guide documented a Naruto Theme Mode for July 16 through September 14, 2026. Because that guide gives its own end date, all of the following should be treated as historical unless BGMI announces a rerun.

Naka Shrine Secret Room
The guide places the Naka Shrine Secret Room beneath the shrine. It is the source of the frequently repeated answer to “What is the current secret location in BGMI?”, but that wording is now stale: the documented mode ended on September 14. Do not promise the room in a current-match guide without seeing the shrine and its interaction in the live client.
Hidden Leaf Village landmarks
The same guide names Hokage Rock, Naruto’s Apartment, the Hokage’s Office and Ichiraku Ramen. Other listed points include the Great Naruto Bridge, Ninja Academy, Chunin Exam Finals Arena and Valley of the End. It also describes a Kurama/Nine-Tails encounter, Rogue Ninjas and photo interactions.
The guide reports an August 4 adjustment that changed Ichiraku Ramen’s trigger cooldown from 10 seconds to 30 seconds. That detail is tied to the secondary guide and its event period; it should not be treated as a current mechanic without an official rerun notice. Midnight Hunters on Erangel — the scheduled 2026 content
A September 2026 Reddit post reproducing patch notes attributed to KRAFTON lists Midnight Hunters on Erangel from September 16 through November 16, 2026. Because the linked official page returned a 403 error when checked, use this as a schedule lead rather than the same level of confirmation as an accessible official patch page. Verify the theme in your client before dropping.

Urban vampire renovations
The reproduction names Rozhok, Mylta, Quarry and Gatka as renovated urban areas. Look for the themed structures and event prompts at those map labels; no dependable exact coordinates are established by the available material.
Bell Tower
A Bell Tower can stun nearby vampire monsters when its clock is shot. This creates a tactical window: clear or weaken enemies first, then use the clock when you need a temporary interruption. The interaction is specifically tied to the Midnight Hunters theme, so a normal-looking tower without an event prompt is not proof that the mechanic is active.
Golden Bat statues
Golden Bat statues provide bonus rewards. Search the renovated areas for the statue interaction, but expect other players to contest a reward object in a named town.

Scream Crates are encrypted. A failed decryption triggers a penalty, and the crate’s sound reveals the player’s location. Do not attempt one in the open while rotating through a hot area; first secure cover and listen for nearby opponents. Hunter Shooting Range and Nightkeeper
The reproduced notes also list a Hunter Shooting Range and Nightkeeper encounters at Hunter Guild locations in Stalber and Military Base. Treat those names as search areas, not guaranteed spawn coordinates. The event schedule also lists Bloodline Awakening windows of October 9–12 and October 16–November 17. The first window has passed; the second has begun by October 18, but its exact operation should be confirmed through the in-game event panel.
For the schedule and feature list, consult the community reproduction of the v4.6 patch notes. It links to an official BGMI page, but that page was not accessible when the material was checked.

- Read the event panel before matchmaking. Record the mode name, map and end date shown by your client.
- Mark only locations named for that mode. For Midnight Hunters, begin with Rozhok, Mylta, Quarry, Gatka, Stalber or Military Base if the event is visibly enabled.
- Land with enough equipment to survive an interaction. Event enemies and other players often arrive at the same landmarks.
- Use the object’s prompt, not an old tutorial. A missing prompt usually means the mode is disabled, the object is decorative or the trigger has a cooldown.
- Collect the reward and leave before the next rotation. A successful puzzle or crate interaction can expose your position through combat noise, alarms or the Scream Crate penalty.
- Recheck after an update. A patch can remove a themed building, alter a cooldown or move an event to a new map.

What counts as a reliable BGMI Easter-egg guide
Prefer accessible official patch notes for mechanics and dates. A current in-game map or event panel is stronger evidence for what you can actually play today. Secondary guides are useful for landmark names and historical context, but their schedules can expire, and community reposts can preserve details after the official page changes. The safest wording is precise: “listed for the mode,” “documented in v2.1,” or “historical,” rather than “always available.”

In practical terms, BGMI’s secret locations are rotating discoveries. Use the current client to decide what exists, use the map to decide where to land, and treat every older room, ruin or ship as unavailable until the game itself presents the interaction.
